Considered a secondary capital of the galaxy, Zertifgald is the largest planet in Alliance space. The planet is covered mostly in desert, with little forest land scattered across the planet. There is little water on the planet, so the residents must import water to survive. On the planet are many dangerous animals residing in the deserts and caves, all fighting to survive in their overheated hell.
The capital city, Decimus, covers about a sixth of the land of the vast planet, made up of many bars, shops, ports, and all kinds of forms of entertainment, as well as residential and industrial areas. Other, smaller towns are scattered around on the surface, protected by their own security for fear of the outlaws and horrors that live unorganized in the desert.
Also all around Zertifgald are establishments created by clans of criminals, killers, and other low lives. Called the Outlaws by the citizens that live on the planet, they move in large groups, protecting one another from police forces and other means of obliterating them. Some of these clans have built permanent bases with defenses that could keep the military at bay, with the well known being the clan of The Red Scars.
Another group of people, called Scavengers, travel in smaller packs. They go from place to place like nomads, taking anything they can find undefended, loot destroyed machines and ships, and carry weapons that are ramshackle combinations of existing guns. However, Scavengers are peaceful and trade with both Decimus and the other towns on Zertifgald, sometimes even trader ships.
