I think my first gig was a school performance in middle school. That was the first time I soloed in front of a large audience, and I was extremely nervous. But I just played and tried to grab a feel of the music, and eventually I did. Here's a tip: don't try to sound extremely fancy or complicated on your first solo in your first gig. Just play what you know and what you can, and build off those ideas. If you get a feel of the music and you have fun with it, then you'll never do badly.

just relax yourself... the worst thing is to be tense and shaking and screwing up your notes.
