Balisong Do we have any furries in the guild? If so, come to this thread and chat about anything anthro related! I have a few mild furry leanings - mostly on the artwork and writing side of my creative psyche, though. I tend to disappoint people when they realise that I'm not into the fetish side of things - although at the same time, showing most to the people I know that there's more to furry than fetishism in the first place is generally a good thing.

This is me <^>v vv There's a bunch more pics, too, if anyone cares to see 'em. I'd draw me, but I suck at art. That reminds me, I'll need to scan those ok dragon-anthro pics I did draw at one point. *wishes for a scanner for his B-Day the 15th*

I love dragons, but not in general. I love dragons. period. : whee And that's my sis's art. Her username is Magelet, and she has a webpage of art she drew and commissions she got from others and such. Magelet's ImpressionsFreakin' awesome, no?

Indeed. smile
I can draw a little myself, although nothing like that. I probably could improve a lot if I put more time in (I'm out of practice, if nothing else), but when it came to the choice of concentrating on my drawing or my writing, the writing won.

WOWZERS! That's awesome!
I never did manage to get good at art, I tried and tried when I was little but never managed it. A good friend of mine does alot of art for me has offered to coach me over the net, I'm very tempted to take her up on it just to have SOME creative talent under my belt, but I doubt I could ever get THAT good.
*Claps* well done to your sister! biggrin

The weird thing is, I'm not all great when it comes to drawing and such, but My Tails bust is a real wowzwer. I put it back into one piece with some tacky glue, but I need paint. Which I have none. heh.
I busted Tails' Face. Poor Tails...

I'm not into the whole furry thing, at least not beyond my Sonic fandom. Regardless, here's a drawing of mine:
He's half tanuki, and for those who don't know, a tanuki is a real animal that looks like a cross between a raccoon and dog. How could he be half animal and half human? In Japanese mythology, tanukis were shapeshifters. Using leaves, they could turn into just about anything. This guy's papa was a tanuki living his life in human form.
Wow... I feel really dorky now.

Your human anatomy looks fairly good there. The proportions aren't perfect (the torso's a little long and the chest shape seems a little hourglassed), but they're mostly in the right places. I could never get the hang of human proportions, myself.

Like Nuala, I have furry leanings as far as art and fan characters go, but that's about it. Here's some of the random sketches I've done recently... http://eonscomic.tripod.com/images/eon_sketch.jpg Here's a rough sketch I drew while bored last year. That's my character, Eon, in a somwhat different attitire to normal. The armour is actually based loosely on the the soldiers of Gondor from The Lord of the Rings films. http://eonscomic.tripod.com/images/eon_concept.jpg Here's a sketch that I meant to be part of a series of concept drawings for all of the characters in my sprite comic. The reason being that I'm fairly good at drawing and I think that's being wasted on my sprite comic somewhat... But I never quite got round to doing any more. http://eonscomic.tripod.com/images/sally.jpgAnd just to show off, here's a picture of Princess Sally I drew last Friday. I mean to ink it and then colour two versions of it, one in my usual crayon and the other as an attempt to use PSP to colour with. And if that also doesn't work, do I really need to tell you to click Anyway, the other pics in this topic so far are pretty cool (I'm not much of a critic myself). I've drawn a couple of dragons before, but none are anything like that one. Very well done. I think I'm improving with human drawings though. :p

Yes, I was afraid of that. Don't worry though, I've tried to take measures to compensate for it. I've put all three pics on a page on my site, which you reach via the link in my sig or the link in my profile. On the main page there's a few links near the top; click on the one marked 'Drawings' and you should find the three I tried to post here. smile

Looks really good, your character Eon (I'm not sure of the species, looks sort of like a squirrel or a cat) looks pretty good, the sprites in your comic show the colours to go with him so I can just imagine in the technicolour awesomeness.
As for Sally, all I can say is JAWESOME! She looks good, odd though it is you drew the taller, thinner, no-jacket version of Sally from season 1 of the 2nd Sonic Cartoon rather than the more small vest wearing one. The expression and hair looks good.
I'd love to see what you could do adding a bit of ink and colour to your work, it'd look good in my opinion.
As a side-note, your sprite comic looks good, which is something I rarely say. Usually sprite comics are garbage emulating the craptacular Psyguy.
