She moved along the grass, ratehr carelessly for now. After Mzaa napping at her 'place', they'd both agreed on being hungry. After ata thwacked Mzaa once or twice to try and get her memory back(of course, she did this to play). but now they were out on the lands, simply searching for something to catch, and bigger than a hare this time.

Now it was afternoon, not late, but the sun wasn't so hot now. And fortunately, a wind had decided to blow, so it wasn't too hot. "What're you doing? Pick up your pace or we won't find anything! " She said, glancing abck at Mzaa, ears perked.

Mzaa watched Ata intently, making sure that Ata didn't make any sudden movements to go get a stick, that was hte last thing she needed, a huge bump and bruise from a stick in an attempt to get her memory back, couldn't Ata see that the wacking and hitting wasn't working? Though it might be for play fun to, it hurt, and Mzaa would feel strange if she hit back, it wouldn't be right. "I'm right here I'm fine I'm following you, you can go faster and I won't lose you," she said with a nod, picking up the pace trotting besides Ata now. "Bigger then a hare yes, but dont try to hit it!" she said with a laugh.

"Awww. But without the hitting its not fun! " Ata teased, tail twitching in amusement. She should maybe stop the thwacking, but she'd gotten used to it since cub-hood. She'd sometimes thwacked her siblings when they'd acted extremely stupid, but they'd all been sillier back then.

"Besides, what if they run? How will you trip them without whacking? " She nodded, and trotted slightly, as if sure a little tip she saw behind a hill wa smaybe an oryx but instead, it was just a bush.

"If they run you chase them down Ata!" Mzaa said nudging her shoulder against the other lionesses, jeez, was all Ata thought about hitting or beating something? Though it was amusing at times, unless you were constantly on hte other side of Ata's paw, then it wasn't so much fun all the time..maybe...half the time, if that. Mzaa nose sniffed hte air, to see if a scent would be carried there way. A lone shadow on hte horizon caught her eye, thought she couldn't tell if it was a rogue or a prey beast.

"Pbbt. Yea. And how will you take it down after? " She quirked a brow in amusement. "As far as I know, just running doesn't stop anyone. At least, not unless you can stampede like wildabeast. And we're no wildabeast. " She nodded smartly, and then seemed to notice the same thing that Mzaa did.

"Lets go check it out. " Ata said, though a part of her was doubtfull. She was suspicious about that rhino that she'd encountered once or twice. Bottom line? Do not, repeat, do NOT piss off a rhino. Really, you do not want to do that.

"You chase it down, tire it out and then kill it silly, Ata come on you don't whack things with sticks!" Mzaa said quirking a brow smirking, smacking an antelope wouldn't catch it for food, it would merely anger it and it could speed off rather easily. "Alright sure," Mzaa said shrugging, keeping up with Ata. She still couldn't tell what it was, her eyes were still somewhat tired but she wouldn't admit that to Ata, not at all, "Do you think its a zebra, or a lone antelope or something?"

"Aand you know that wildabeast usually take.. a lot longer to tire than we do, right? " She grinned. Those odd things. "You gotta give em a good whack in the leg so they trip! " At least, that usually worked for her. They were clumsy when something messed with their legs, especially soemthing as heavy as a lion.

"Maybe. Might be an oryx too, but I don't see any horns. " She frowned slightly, and as they got closer, ata seemed to note. It was a zebra, probably got separated form its herd. But zebra were hard prey to catch for few lions like Ata and Mzaa. they were alot faster than wildabeast-- and they kicked. A lot. "I dunno if I wanna get kicked today. " She muttered slightly, eyeing this particular zebra. It seemed like a pretty healthy buck for being alone. "But if there is a zebra here.. There'll be gazelle too. " She smiled. Gazelle were better for cheetah but.. they weren't -too- hungry.

"Oh come on Ata, we cna get it..." Mzaa said with a nudge, stopping, flicking her tail adn taking in hte surroundings. Indeed it was a zebra, large, healthy, not looking too slow or sickly to be an easy kill. Though Mzaa was hungry, really hungry, she honestly couldn't remember hte last time she had filled herself up with a really good large satisfying meal. "Come on ata lets try, if you don't want to get kicked, I'll try to be the one to knock it over, sound good? Please...?" Mzaa asked giving Ata the puppy/cub face as if it would probably, hopefully work.

"Uhuh. " She quirked a brow. What was Mzaa, inane? Then again.. Ata was too. "Okay! But seeing as in this scenery you stand out, I'll have to start it. " She nodded quietly. Mzaa would be a great huntress if it was night, but on the lighter scene at the moment, she'd stand out against the plae grasses.

"Sound like a plan? "

"Sounds good, I'll wait right here alright? Chase it my way and then I'll take care of hte rest," she said with a nod, crouching down hiding herself in the grass blades as much as she could. She had a grin on her face, adn she smiled, as long as Ata got the zebra to come this way, Mzaa could taste the zebra meat already, and it was so, so good.

"Alrighty. " Ata said, and emmediately stalked off through the grass.

Anyone who'd neever seen Ata hunt before they actually got to know her would be surprised. She changed compleetly, easing her way into intelligent tactics, sliding through where she knew she wouldn't be detected with smooth, easy movements. This was the one time when Ata didn't look like she was some sort of blow-away lunatic. Soon enough, she had stalked around the zebra, who kept grazing in its place. She got closer, then lashed out at it, giving chase in an attempt to steer it the right way.

The zebra was faster than she thought. It charged off, eyes fiery with the will to escape this, kicking and bucking and making it hard for Ata to steer, once she couldn't get close enough to scare him in the right direction. He was getting closer to Mzaa, and closer, untill he stopped. Kind of, anyways. He seemed to decide that going into an insane kicking frenzy would open up enough space for an escape. With aa frustrated growl, Ata crouched nearby, and waited, circling around him in annoyance. Moving in to attack was dengerous now.

Mzaa scrunched her nose in agitation, stupid beast, dumb beast, well, smart beast. It perhaps had another hidden sense of things, and since it stoped, it would be too dangerous, even for both of them, hte possibility of being kicked was more prominent now, and even if Mzaa was almost starvingly hungry in her mind, she'd back away this time, if they walked a bit further, Mzaa was sure they would find something. Scooting backwards slowly, and peering at Ata, giving a small nod as if to signal to move away, Mzaa backed up far enough, then stood, letting hte zebra get full view of her so it could dart away leaving both safe. They;d find another meal, just would take a big longer then expected.

She nodded at Mzaa, and stood up, backing away from the zebra, and nodding slightly to indicate something like 'well, you're free to go. don't mind us while we starve'. Yea. Well, guilt trip obviously didn't work on zebra-- not like she thought it would-- and it shot off, bucking and kicking some, and leaving Ata behind quickly.

She snorted, folding her ears back. Well, she'd told Mzaa but... Not time to rub it in yet. "Lets go find a gazelle or something. " She said, trotting back over to the lioness, tail twitching.

Mzaa stayed sient for a moment, tail flicking in agitation at herself, she shouldn't have tried for hte zebra, it was too much ah well, a gazelle, as Ata suggested, would be an easier catch, probably just as satisfying and filling as well. "Alright, lets go," Mzaa said with a smile trying to stay upbeat. She smile and started walking in one direction, this had become a strange friendship indeed.

She nodded. "Yeah. Who knows, maybe that zebra lured some gazelle over! y'know how preybeast like to get all buddybuddy with eachother. " Ata nodded smartly, and began to trot along with Mzaa, much more happy than she'd normally been. Perhaps it was that little smugnes sof having been right, yes. Ata liked being right.

"Oh, and maybe there are dikdiks. Or wildabeast-- their good too. Or oryx, or.. stuff. Yeaa stuff. " She nodded contently, swishing he tail slightly as she and Mzaa set off for food.
