Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool, four forming a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it was mainly built for water-types. Rules prevent the freezing of the water.
Rhea sighed as she entered the Arena. What a field for Hellfire to have to fight on. Looking down to the Houndoom, she smiled. "You'll do fine."
Water. why did it have to be water? She was a fire-type, not a stupid fish. Looking up to Rhea, Hellfire gave her a smile, which to onlookers, seemed like a snarl. But Hellfire's gaze was filled with love and respect. this trainer had not forced her to be her pokemon, she had chosen her.
Patting Hellfire on the head, Rhea looks to the other side of the field, awaiting her opponent.

Lixue entered the field and released a pokeball into the air. A white pokemon shot out and splashed into the water with obvious delight. Lixue smiled and braced herself on the field.
It was then that the mysterious white pokemon jumped out and landed on a platform. It was Ai, a seel. "Bark bark," she shouted.
"Let's get this started!" Lixue called to her opponent.

Cringing, Rhea patted Hellfire on the head. "Go get 'em!" she said rather loudly.
With a growl, Hellfire leaped to the platform. looking at the Seel, she bared her fangs. Seel were rumored to be delicious.
"Ok, Hellfire, Use Flamethrower!!" Rhea called out. Here was another match...
At the Command, Hellfire snaps her jaws open and lets loose a huge jet of black flames at the Seel.

"Dodge it and use water gun Ai!" Lixue called out.
Ai barely got out of the way and got her tail singed. She barked unhappily and then turned on the houndoom and let off a water gun at Hellfire's face.

"Oh no...HELLFIRE!"
Turning her Head, Hellfire got smacked by the water gun. Flying backwards, she landed in the water with a loud SMACK.
"Oh no...oh no..." Rhea whispers. "Hellfire! Shadow Ball!"
Almost instantaneously, a dark figure erupts from the water, a dark ball of energy in her jaws. Soaring down, she lets the energy go, heading straight for the Seel.

"Ooohhh....That'll leave a mark..." she comments as Ai flies back into the water.
"Alright Ai! Let's go for the Aurora Beam!"
Ai jumps up out of the water powering up for an Aurora Beam and then shoots it once she lands on the platform.

Just about to land, Hellfire got hit by the beam, getting sent back into the water again.
As the crowd laughs, Rhea thought quickly. "Hellfire! Use Return!"
Shooting out of the water again, Hellfire sped towards Ai, engulfed in a flame. No way was she gonna let Rhea down again...

Ai saw Hellfire and slipped back into the water and swam just beneath waiting for instructions.
"Ai....go for that water gun attack again!"
Ai jumped up in front of Hellfire at the last moment and let off another water gun into her face.

Dang Fish..thing! As the water gun hit Hellfire in the face, she landed, but only just, on the platform. She was near to being ticked off.
"Hellfire! calm down and use Crunch!" Rhea called out. Everything was going ok, and...no wait...
Leaping towards the Seel, Hellfire's jaws opened wide, showing her glistening fangs. Lunchtime.

Ai froze having landed right in front of Hellfire. Oi...stupid move she thought.
Crunch...
Ai looked a bit put off having been bitten pretty good.
"Ack....Ai! Try for Headbutt!"
Ai perked up and then aimed a Headbutt at Hellfire's chest.

Letting out a loud yelp, Hellfire jumped onto the next platform. That thing had a horn! And it was sharp, too!
"Hellfire! Use Shadow Ball!" Rhea called out. At least she was grateful that Hellfire never gave up.
Letting out a roar, Hellfire lets loose another dark ball of energy, her fur bristling.

Ai was once again able to miss the worst part of the attack, but had a little damage done.
"Alright Ai...Ice Beam!"
Ai propped herself up and shot a massive Ice Beam at the irritable Hellfire.
