The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ICE FIELD! The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.

Luna curses as the temprature suddenly drops and pillars of ice rise. She really dislikes the ice field. But at least she brought a jacket with her this time. Luna presses the button to a pokeball on her leg strap and with a red flash of light, releases her seel, Albireo.
"Albireo, to the middle of the stadium!" Luna says, clinging to the pokemon as it drags her across the slippery floor to her opponent. "Erm...since there's no official judge, we'll be self judging. This will be a one on one battle and the first pokemon to be knocked out loses. We'll be playing rock paper scizzors to determine who goes first. Is that okay with you?" She asks. She then readies herself for a game of rock paper scizzors, holding out her arms in a starting rock position.

Popai stumbled into the ice field. It was colder than he thought, it didn't seem to stop any T.V. trainers, so it won't stop him. His hand dived into his blue jean pocket, and grabbed out a small Pokeball quickly. He pressed the circle on the ball and it suddenly became larger. Getting ready to throw it, he flipped off his red and white cap, and out came a little green-eyed rodent. She squirmed through the ice-cold ice, slipping and sliding carelessly. Finally, she seemed to be face-to-face with Albireo.
"Let's do it! It's the first battle, so don't worry if you lose. Just try your best..." Popai said, not quite encouraging.
Who will start the battle? Sparky has high speed, but the ice may slow her down...

"Yes~! I won!" Luna said happily, and then ordered albireo to drag her to one of the ice pillars. Seating herself down on one of them and freezing her butt off in the process, she mentally prepared herself for the battle. She waved to Popai.
"Let's have a nice battle!"
Then, directing her attention back to Albireo, she yells, full of adrenaline already "Okay Albireo, you're in your zone! Let's go! Slide and headbutt!"
Albireo barks, flattening himself onto the ground, and then pushing off on the ice with his slippers to the Pichu horn-first.

"No! Dodge it now, Sparky!" Popai yelled. Sparky nodded and ran to the left of Albireo, but the ice made it difficult. She slided forward, right, forward again, and toward the Seel.
"PIIIIiiiichhhuuuuuUUU!" Sparky screamed, the voice pitch higher then lower to higher. That attack was a big fire. Sparky looked exhausted, scratches all over his spine. It wasn't over! Popai yelled and began to order.
"Sparky, use Skull Bash..." Popai stopped. He thought about Sparky's strongest attack, but may miss due to the ice. He shook his head and ordered once more. "Use Thundershock, Sparky!" It was clear, and Sparky knew. ?He jumped on a medium height pillar, making sure not to slip. He charged his red cheeks and began to strike.

"Albireo, take the attack like a man and knock over that pillar with a headbutt!"
Albireo nodded and braced itself for the pain of the thunderbolt attack, then charged at the pillar, hoping to knock it and Sparky over. Albireo also gained poofy fur in the process. cool

"Dodge it!" Popai yelled. Luckily, he jumped off the pillar in time, and started sliding down. "Now, use Skull Bash while the Seel's distracted!" Popai said.

"Hang strong Seel! Aqua tail him!"
Albireo winces in pain as Sparky rams into him, but endures and brings its tail around to attempt to hit the little rodent pokemon.

"Dodge it once more!" Popai said hurriedly. Sparky dodged, but it failed. The tail bashed into his skull, and water squirted from his nose.
"Oh no! It's almost over..." Popai mumbled. "Use Tail Whip!"

After being beaten a little by Sparky's tail, Albireo gladly shot off an aurora beam at Sparky.

"Sparky, it's a close battle! Let's do our best!" Popai whispered. The ice frosted the tip of her black tail. "Brr... Pichu... Pi-pichu..." Sparky shivered. It was extremely cold, and now her tail is frozen?! Her eyes blazed with anger, and she charges at Albireo with any command. It seemed like a headbutt, in Popai's opinion. The tilted his head, and stood still as Sparky charged.

"HANG ON ALBIREO!" Luna shouted to her pokemon. She didn't enjoy to see her pokemon hurt. "If they're going to hit us, hit them right back again with your tail!"
Albireo endured the attack yet again. His tale glowed blue and he jammed it towards Sparky with all his might.
