(Y'know the drill. Tan Ata, normal Mzaa)
Mzaa chased after Ata, and for a moment lost sight of hte other lioness. "Ata, where did you go?" she asked in somewhat annoyance, she had helped hte lioness break free from a log and then she ran off to shade which Mzaa wanted as well, why couldn't she share? Flicking he tail Mzaa scanned hte surrounding areas, silver hues searching for some sign of hte lioness that had run off so quickly, she would find her, of course, she had to, the heat was getting to her,and she needed to rest so badly, she felt so tired as of late.
" Oy, slowpoke! " A voice shouted out of apperently nowhere at first, until some movement could be told apart from a few cliffs. "Come on, ya want shade or not? " She shouted, hoping up and down to get the dark lioness' attention, then promply shooting to the side and pressing against the coool rocks of her cave. She kind of wondered what the Mpride would think if they knew Ata had brought a rogue so deep into the territory to the cliffs but.. Well, It was her business.
besides, Ata's den was separated enough from the rest, as the pride was small. It was a cave in the cliff, with rocks. and shade. And.. Heckyez, the rocks were cold. Talk about paradise in africa.
Mzaa saw some movement, smiled and bolted towards hte hopping figure, then disapearing figure. Atat had a cave for a den? well then, that had to be wonderful on days like this, Mzaa had heard stories of some dew gathering on hte inside of caves when it was hot out, thus making it heaven on hte savannah when it was so brutally hot. She wished she had a cave den, would be wonderful to head back to everynight to sleep and rest in, though Mzaa had to keep moving if she ever hoped on fiding any lost things from her past."This is nice Ata," she said while stepping into the den, taking a seat next to the stone wall, sighing contently as the cool stone touched her pelt.
Relieved that Mzaa had seen it, because Ata wasn't fomnd of jumping around in the heat, and.. really, she probably wouldn't want to keep trying to catch her attention.
"I like it. Its not really as big as tmy sisters, buuut she has a mate and kids. Or at elast it wasn't untiiill I was pushin' a few rocks out and found another chamber. " She grinne dmeekly. It wasn't too big a chamber, but nice to know she had it. She could always chuck useless things in there, right?
"Your sister has a family? That must be nice," she said with a smile. Mzaa had thought about having a family more recently then before, though she wasn't sure if she had thought of it before, for her lack of memry didn't help at all. Though she kept straying away from it, for fear if she had a mate somewhere she did not remember, a mate that was waiting for her, though they hadn't found her yet, so she often doubted that possibility. "A den like this would be nice, though I can't seem to find anywhere I can settle for more then a few days time, traveling is what I'm up to as of late, though who knows, perhaps someday that may change for me."
"Yea. I like playing with the kids. But their dad is a grumpy-pink-butt. " Well, pink-head. But pink-butt sounded less dumb. Ata liked Angusho, yes. But he did kind of seem jumpy whenever she was around his kids, probably due to her insane tomboy-ness which could quite easly be deemed as a bad influance to kids. however, as far as she knew, at least Ua seemed to like her.
"Travelling! I used to travel. " Ata nodded. "When I was born. Was awesome. But then we got here, which is where we'd been heading. Mom and dad were born here, so when the plague hit, they left to come back. But they got lost. " She shrugged.
'Getting lost isn't fun," Mzaa said with a nod, she constantly felt lost, felt uneasy and unknown in the world, lack of memory didn't help, lack of everything but a name didn't help at all. "Its fun, though tiresome, hopefully I can find a place to go someday, would be nice, but for now I'm still looking for answers to questions I keep coming up with, questions I can't answer on my own," she said nodding. Though Mzaa wished she could answe the questions on her own, would be nice to give her paws a rest for a while, very nice.
" .. I cant ell you're very philosophical. " She quirked his brows, amused. However, she couldn't hold it against Mzaa; everyone was the way they felt like being, right? She doubted she'd be such a ttomboy if she'd gone by her parents expectations.
" What kind of questions? "
Mzaa smiled, a blush coming to her cheeks though her dark pelt hid it well along with the shadows inside the cave den. Flicking her tail she boggled her mind, trying to have a few questions come to mind, "Questions like where I came from, where my family is, you see, I can't remember things from the past, I woke up one morning with an ache above my brow and only knowing my name...anything else has been lost to me," it sadenned her, adn she wished that she could remember something, anything. "Its not too much fun going day to day not knowing things about yourself you wish you knew."
"You.. " Ata paused, folding a ears against her skull a bit, as if not understanding what Mzaa had just said. "You don't remember anything? At all? " She frowned, then stood up, and promtly thwacked Mzaa's head. "Maybe this will work! Lets shake your memory out! " she nodded smartly, and pretend to be going for another thwack, before sitting down against the way again, clearly preffering to sit against the coolness of it.
"Sorry about your memory. Maybe it'll come back to you eventually. Meanwhile, sticks are great for whacking sense into stuff. " She grinned meekly, twitchin her tailtip.
Mzaa winced and pulled back from Ata rubbing her head with her paw, "Ow, that hurt," she tried to remember somehting, but the smack didn't seem to help, and at the mentioning of sticks Mzaa was then wary of ata, and would watch her in case she saw any sticks being picked up. If so, Mzaa would make a bolt for it whether it was hot or cold, no matter what. "ts alright, not your fault, perhaps soemday it will come back,a dn I can piece my past back together," she said with a smile. She flicked her tail, yawned, adn ay her head upon her paws, eyes have closing from being sleepy, "Do you think I could rest here for a bit Ata, before I move on?" she asked hopefully, becoming less and less awake with each passing moment.
Ata blinked in amusement, at the effect her thwack had on Mzaa. She should maybe be less blunt and spontaneus but..
She didn't feel like it. " Sure, I could use a carpet in this place. " She flicked her whiskers in amusement, though she was obviously just kidding, not liked she'd step on Mzaa or anything. " I'm ognna go chill at the back for now. Its cooler there. " She nodded, flicking her tail and getting up again, waiting to see if Mzaa'd say anything else before turning and moving to go to the back of the cave.
Mzaa nodded and merely ywned again, she'd stay right here, Mzaa was perfectly content with the cool stone wal at her side, it was just perfect and she smiled as she closed her eyes fully. The last few events in her present life had been interesting, first saving Ata then getting whacked by Ata in an attempt to boggle her memory awake. Either way, she at least had a place to nap for now,a dn when she'd awake, Mzaa would move on once again.
