(( Ata is tan, Mzaa is normal c: ))
well. This was.. nice.
No, really. It was nice. Great. Wonderufull. It was dark, so she could probably sleep, even though it was probably noon. She'd long given up trying to squeeze out herself, and had decided to wait for help. Yes, help.
See, Ata had been unfotunate. Her head was stuck. In a /log/. She'd been abaout to pounce something tasty looking only.. Well, she had pounced at it. And it ran. And she crashed into the log. And he head got stuck. Simple, easy.
Only now the situation was comical. here she was, a headless lioness stuck to a log, front paws over hear head and on the wood as she sat there looking absolutely Not to mention, it was /hot/. And here she was! Out in the dumb sun, no shade because the tree wasn't exactly with that thick a trunk. Stupid log. She hate dit. Though, she guessed it was hard not to hold anything against it not. But who dies and leaves this big carcass with a hole for people to get stuck in?! Seriously. 'I'm dying and I'm taking other folks with me! '. Yes, Ata had an air hole, at the other side of the log. But it was gettign stuffy because of the heat either way, even if she had air.
" Um.. Anyone out there? "
Karana'Mzaana was wandering again, it was hot and her black pelt wasnt helping hte fact at all. Flicking her tail she kept on moving, panting almost as she dragged her paws, seeking some shade to be her savior, some water to be her rescuer, why did the sun have to be so cruel? I just really wasn't fair, not at all. Something in the distance caught her attention, something moving rather strangely, and slowly, and almost not at all, and a tree above the figure. What was it, a strange creature she had never seen before, or was hte sun just playing more tricks upon her on this day? Still, no fair, and Mzaa believed that the sun had no justified reason to be so cruel to her. Though a voice caught ehr attention, her ears swiveled, was it coming from hte tree? "Yes, who is out there?" she called back, curiousity getting the best of her.
" OH. OH. YEA. OVERHERE. " She lifted a paw, waving iit around, though obviously, what Mzaa would see was the back of her paw, seeing as the other lioness was behind Ata and her fallen tree.
" The lion with a tree head! Over heeere! I need help, okay? Heeere! Pickmepickme! " She flailed her paw a bit. Normally Ata would say so much at once but hey, who knows who else might show up.
Mzaa tilted her head in question hearing hte voice, and flicked her tail, lioness with her head in a tree? Well..that was new, and awkward as well, how had hte lioness been able to pull that one off? Without hesitation Mzaa padded over to hte poor soul and swiveled her ears while she took the situation into consideration, how would she be able to help? "How stuck are you? Can you still move your neck, are you getting enough air?" perhaps she should try to make a hole in the trunk or something. "Are you hurt, are you alright?" she asked, so many question,s but Mzaa needed to know if she needed to go get more help.
"Hoooraay! "
Ata said this, however she wasn't entirely pleased. A lion woulda worked better since they were stronger, but she guessed this was okay enough. She had help, right?
"uh. I can kinda move my neck. Only I get stuck on my ear! " She announced, twisting her head around to prove the point. Her ears got her stuck, and along with her jaws, it wasn't much help. "Yea, I got ait. There's a hole over there on the other side. " She waggled her paw to one way slightly, then, unsure of her decision, pointed the other ay. "Uh. I dunno. " She shrugged, the best she could with her head stuck.
"Think you can get in? "
"Getting in might not be the best idea," Mzaa said trying to contemplate on what they could do to free hte lioness from her barkly prison. "Its your ears that are stuck then umm, hmmm," she was boggling her mind trying to think of something to do, at least the lioness had air, that was a good thing at the very least. "I could try to pull you out, or try to break away some of hte bark where your ears are, which do you think might work better?" she asked with concern, hoping that either of her ideas would be enough to help this stranger be free once more.
"Uh. Some of those might work. " She shrugged. "Try the bark one firt! Only.. Try not and make the bark too scrachy. " No, Ata did not want splinters, unpleasant things they were. Especially if they'd be behind her ears.
"BUTFIRST. If I somehow die out of something here, I'd like to know your name. Because it'd be lame if the last person I met was the one person I met that I didn't know their name. " Yes, that would be a brilliant twist of fate. Not like Ata thought she'd die. But what else could she be, other than sarcastic right now? "I'm Ata. "
"Ata, I'm Mzaa," she said with a smile, getting closer the where Ata's head was stuck in the bark. She let her black claws be free from her paws, and she drew some lines in hte bark to that she had a guide to go by, if any of hte wood would start to spliner, she would immediately stop. "Tell me ifyou see hte bark cracking on the inside, and tell me to stop if it hurts alright Ata?" she said with a tone as if to reassure hte trapped lioness. Then slowly Mzaa began to strip awaysome of hte bark, stupid bark, why did it have to be so strange?
"Believe me, you'll knnow. I scream bloody murder. " She grinned, though Mzaa probably wouldn't see that. She couldn't help put perk her ears, though, as if to keep them away from the bark as the lioness tried to clear it away.
"Just be carefull not to cut me ears. " She said, thinking aloud. She did not want her tan ears to be confused with bark and getting clawd at. "Sucks, doesn't it?! Ya just try and cacth that lil here by the tree.. Not fun, at all. " She snorted, twitching her tail irritable. Dumb hare. She'd get back at it!
Mzaa nodded though she knew it was a dumb choice since Ata couldn't see her make hte motion, "Alright, I'll be extra careful," no need to have Ata get hurt when she was already being tortured by this stupid log tree splinter bearing thing. Dumb thing, dumb hare then if it led Ata to this type of fate. Well, either dumb or very smart, though Mzaa couldn't concentrate on either since she had a task at paw. She scraped away strips of bark, and got deeper into it, making sure to have her claws in control as to not nick Ata's ear, "Can you see any hint o light coming through Ata?" she wanted to know how close she was getting to getting her claws all the way through.
"Uh. Lemme see. "
She tilted her head a bit and attempted to twist to the side, so she could kind of see what was next to her with the horner of her eye. " I see some. " She announced, swishing her tail and perhaps unintentionaly tickling Mzaa's tail.
" I think I can maybe get out soon. " She sayd, tapping the log slightly with a front paw. " If you manage to open that a bit more and make another. "
"Alright, just hold still don't move okay? And watch your tail!" she said with a laugh, trying to move her paws so that she would not step on hte lionesses tial adn cause her pain, then she might knock her head up against the bark, that wouldn't be good. She scraped her claws down deeper, adn they penetrated through, and she started over again, in two other places around where she figured Ata's head was. After she believed it was enough, she stepped back and calle dout, "Alright, try it now okay? Be careful," splinters would be a bad thing, they stung even if they were tiny little buggers.
"Okay. " Ata said, lifting a hind paw and promtly stomping on her tail, sitting ontop of it to keep it still. Strangely enough, she probably did that often. She tapped on thewood boredly, looking aorund the dark innards of the log. Yeah. Cozy looking evil place, wasn't it?
"Done? Okay. " Ata said, and planted her paws at the sides of the hole, and then pushed, and after a bit of pushing, she broke free, floppod onto her abck, and screamed. "HECKYES! IWINOHYEA! Ow. " The ow was simply because of he rslamming onto the gorund, nothing serious. " Thankyou! " She announced, but felt her back burn. she'd been out here to long.
"NOW. If you'll excuse me miss here, I'm going to go uh. Curl up pathetically in my den-cave and chill in the shade because yea. Its effin' hot. " She said, casually, then without another word, shot off looking rather like her back wa sliterally on fire.
Mzaa watched her with a strange expression and as Ata bolted off, Mzaa was confused. She was thanked yes, but Mzaa was hot to! Not even invite her along! "Hey wait, I wanna come too!" she yelled after Ata, and bolted off towards her. She wanted shade too, Mzaa would follow her and rest for a while before doing anything else.
