The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ROCK FIELD! Tremors rippled forth from center-field as the basic floor shifted to a rock and dirt field, rock towers jutted forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an attack advantage. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirred the loose sand on the field, this creates a mini sandstorm that could possibly blind those who were battling.

"This will be a one on one casual battle, right? First person to have their pokemon KOed wins! Let's have a good match!" Luna shouted to her opponent at the other side of the stadium. She unclipped one of her pokeballs from her leg pocket and released the pokemon inside it.
Pidegotto burst out and flew up into the air, above the majority of the sandstorm. (This stadium BETTER be open roofed). A bit confused on why it was suddenly sent out to battle in a sandstorm, Pidgeotto sent a questioning look to its trainer, who only just waved sheepishly and replied "You're up Pidgeotto! Let's win this?"

Yin nodded. "Yes." She shouted back. "GO LOVE!" She un-cliped a great ball and sent the Houndor out.
Love shook herself off and looked around. She snarled and glared at the other pokemon, and let out a howl. She was ready for this challange.

"Start with a gust attack Pidgeotto!" Luna shouted up into the air, then choked on some sand. She mentally noted to pray never to get a rock battleground again.
Pidgeotto made no verbal acknowledgment that he heard his trainer, but flapped his wings anyways directle at the houndoor, shooting waves of wind and sand at the fire pokemon.

Love did not move fast enough to move out of the gusts way, she was slamed into a rock and a whimper came out of her mouth. She quickly tryed to get up and counter.
"FIRE BLAST LOVE!"
Love nodde and shot out a blast of fire at the oppent.

Pidgeotto was startled as fire came out of the sandstorm, but managed to flap higher up into the air so that when the attack reached it, it only singed his talons.
It gave an annoyed "Ge..." and stared at Luna waiting for a command.
"Calm down, you only singed a couple of feathers! Let's show him a twister!"
Pidgeotto dived into the sandstorm and whirled around in many circles, creating twisters all around the battle field, He then broke off into the open air again where sight was easier and he wouldn't get his feathers dirty. Pidgeotto decided he would have to have another preening session after the battle.
Luna was really debating on whether or not Pidgeotto should have belonged to a coordinator instead of a trainer.

Love growed after yet again she was stuck by air. She let out a howl and tryed to break out, she was hit hard by the attack and when she got out she struggled to get up.
"Com on love girl! You can do it!" Yins voice was reassuring.
Love manged to get back up on her feet and stared at the bird.
"Try an other fire blast love!" Yin encouraged.
And that is what the Houndor did.
