Ready!? Let's Fight!  Moves: Ember, Quick Attack, Flamethrower, and Fire Spin VS  Moves: Blizzard, Aurora Beam, Surf, and Body Slam Setting: These two pokemon are waiting on adrenaline at the Zatou National Stadium to start the battle!

Battleground Selection!
Randomizer...start!
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ROCK FIELD!
Temors rippled forth from center-field as the basic floor shifted to a rock and dirt field, rock towers jutted forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an attack advantage. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirred the loose sand on the field, this created a mini sandstorm that could possibly blind those who were battling.

Battle....START!
The offical for the matched stepped up the plate, his blue-black uniform visual under the brilliant florenscent lights of the stadium. Clutching a flag in each hand, the young man glanced left and right before making the announcement to start. The deep voice echoed through the headset microphone and rang out from the stadium speakers.
"This is an offical stadium match! Each trainer may use only one pokemon each! There is no time limit! Are both trainers ready?"
At the confirming nods from both pokemon and trainer, he flicked both flags into the air; once both flags moved south, the battle could offically begin.

Jenette, with an air of confidence, stepped out onto her platform and looked down to the little Vulpix standing at the edge of the battlefield. "Let's do this Venna!" She called to her friend.
With an excited, "Vul!" in return the Vulpix jumped out onto the rocky field, waiting for it's opponent.
Jenette on the other hand was looking at the other trainer, trying to summerize what they might do just by the way they held themselves. This told a lot about a person.

Rainyaviel, known as Raina to her friends, stepped out onto her platform. Her posture showed her confidence and it almost seemed like she knew something that her opponent didn't. Of couse, she did, she knew all about her pokemon and her strategy but the other trainer had that advantage too, it was almost like she'd been expecting this set up and a small smile crept onto her face. She studied the other trainer with an intense gaze, she seemed confident too. This could be an interesting battle.
Raina reached down to the black leather belt on her hip and grasped the only pokeball that was there at the time. Ayirwen's ball, Raina's first pokemon and her best friend. Removing the ball she tossed it while calling "C'mon Ayirwen, let's show them what we can do!" As the ball opened a Seel materialized and the ball flew backwards, Raina caught it and put it back on her belt.
Studying the opponent and her Vulpix Raina carefully chose her first attack. "Ayirwen, use blizzard!" The Seel nodded in response and prepared to execute the attack. There was already a slight kick up of dust on the field but Ayirwen was used to blizzards and limited visibility, by using blizzard it would make the visibility even poorer on the field and give them an advantage.

Jenette clenched her fists when she saw a come from the pokeball, "Oh no..." She thought as she knew fire was weak against water... but then she remembered theyw ere on a rock field and not in the water arena. "We still have a chance Venna!!" She shouted to her fox. "Venna! Get on one of the towers and give that Seel a good Fire Spin!!" Shouting out commands to her Vulpix better make her hoarse after this match. It was only the beginning and her heart was already hammering.
Seeing the Blizzard move come, Venna already shivered. She hated water! Especially frozen water! Hearing Jenette shout out the new set of orders she took off for one of the towers, hopefully she could make it in time. As she drew closer she jumped up, the move sliding right passed her and missing. Once on top of the rock she opened her mouth to let out the firey blaze. "VUL!!!" Now sending a fiery vortes swirling at her opponent.
"Good job Venna!" Cried Jenette, now waiting to see if the attack out hit.

Raina clenched her hands into fists when she saw Ayirwen's attack miss. "No..." she muttered under her breathe "not this early in the fight..." Then she snapped back to the moment and remembered the commands the opponent had given. If this had been a water field she would have yelled for Ayirwen to dive, but this wasn't a water field, it was rock.
"Ayirwen! Dodge it!" She knew as soon as she said it that her Seel wouldn't be able to make it out of harms way but it wouldn't be a match threatening blow either. Ayirwen went to move in response the command but was stopped by a command following almost directly after it.
"Nevermind Ayirwen, hold your ground then use surf!" The seel readied itself for the blast of flame from the opponent, as soon as it hit she let loose with a powerful surf attack.
"C'mon Ayirwen, you can do it!" Raina called from the sidelines as her Seel battled valiantly for the honor of both itself and her.

"Oh... crap..." Jenette said as she saw waves roaring over to splash over Venna. There was no way she was going to dodge this. "Take it for the team Venna!!" She shouted.
Venna got all wild eyed when she saw the water, she HATED water! But holding her ground she took it full on. It washed her away but when it disappated she stood, shook off and gave a strong gaze to her opponent. But now, everything was muddy. Yuck!
"Good job Venna! Way to take it lovely!" She called down. "Give that seel a Quick Attack!"
Venna smirked, the muddy ground wasn't going to stop her. Taking off, sprinting effortlessly as she headed directly for her foe.

Raina grinned and her eyes glimmered as the force of the source knocked back the opponent's pokemon. That had to be a critical hit! "Great job Ayir! Keep it up!" The Seel nodded in response and clapped her flippers together.
As the Vulpix came towards Ayirwen Raina wasn't too worried about it since she figured the fox would slip but she didn't and the attack connected with Ayirwen but it didn't do too much damage. "Are you alright Ayirwen?" The seel nodded again and Raina smiled at the bravery and persistence of her pokemon.
"Alright Ayirwen, our turn! Give that vulpix a body slam!" The Seel immediately pushed forward on the mud, sliding forward then circled back around and with more momentum aimed for the vulpix with a strong body slam in store if she connected.

Unable to dodge this mess Venna was slammed up against one of the towers. "Vul..." She groaned as the Seel backed away.
"Venna! Are you alright sweetie!?" Jenette hollered. When she nodded Jenette looked forward. "Give that seel your strongest Flamethrower! Let's fry that fish!" She called out.
When Venna got to her land legs back she nodded and opened her mouth. "VULLLL.... PIX!" With that a string of fire was unfurled, aimed at the seel that had just crushed her.

"Wonderful execution Ayirwen!" Raina called joyfully, the battle was really looking up but it was still anyone's win. As the Vulpix recovered and Raina saw what was about to happen she grimaced and yelled "Move Ayirwen! Dodge it then use Aurora Beam!"
At the command of Raina, Ayirwen slid out of the way of the flamethrower, the flames passed by her but their wave of heat reached her and made her slightly uncomfortable. Her eyes seemed to narrow in annoyance before she aimed and launched her attack at the Vulpix. A strong multi-colored beam shot from her horn straight towards the opponent.

"Get out of the way Venna! It's comming right for you!" She shouted as she clenched her fists. Poor Venna was about to fall over from exhaustion.
Venna got out of the way except for the beam hitting her tails and a yelp escaping her. "Pixx!!" She cried.
Jenetter became upset. "Come on Venna... you have more in you... don't you? Shoot your Ember right under it's body!" She said as she watched her vulpix stand proudly once more.
Nodding to the new command Venna shot a small flame towards the Seel's lower body.

Raina watched as the aurora beam nearly missed and almost let her smile fade but it caught the vulpix on it's tails and this restored her almost lost joy. Suddenly the vulpix launched an attack at Ayirwen, even in it's weakened state the opponent still had spunk.
"Stand your ground Ayirwen! Then use surf again!" Raina was fairly certain the attack wouldn't be battle costing and wouldn't beat down Ayirwen too much but it still made her grimace when the ember attack made contact. Ayirwen slid back slightly in the mud from the force but countered quickly with a strong tsunami like wave.
"You can do this Ayirwen... you can do this!" Raina muttered under her breath as the wave grew ever closer to the enemy vulpix.
