Back Story
A long time ago in the kingdom Aurland there was a horrid plague spreading through out the kingdom amongst the towns people...the plague did not discriminate and it was impossible to predict who it would attack next. People young, old, poor and rich caught the plague which soon adopted the name 'the angels curse' it got this name because hours before the infected passed on they would become delusional and claim to see angels standing at the foot of their beds ready to take them to the after life.
People who suffered the illness usually only lasted a year at the most before dying; the first signs of having the curse was random nose bleeds, constant sneezing and coughing, loss of appetite, terrible mood swings, headaches then eventually becoming weak and unable to get out of bed.
However it was discovered that the plague was not something that could be passed on by contact with the sick people.
Many years went by and there was still no cure found and no explanation as to why this illness was occurring throughout the kingdom, it had also been noticed that Kingdom Aurland was the only place in the entire world to suffer from such a horrid plague.
There were many rumours about the origin of the curse, some even believed that it was in fact the doing of Angels...some said that the good people who God loved dearly were being taken away to heaven and that it was a blessing to receive the Angels curse; others believed that the angels stood at the foot of the deceased beds were actually demons posing as angels and that the sinful were being taken to hell.
But there is no real facts about the plague other than you will most certainly die if you get it.

Now.
The King of Aurland has just fallen ill of the Angels curse and it is said that he has gone insane, babbling about visions and dreams of hell and the end days that are coming forth.
He speaks of a secret cult hidden somewhere in the Kingdom, apparently he has tried many times to take his own life saying that to let the curse end you is the way to hell; he speaks as if speaking to someone else yet there is no one there.
He says that he speaking to the devil but this does not make sense because he also claims to be talking to God too.
The King has clearly gone insane but is still in command and still rules the kingdom. He had demanded that the entire kingdom be stripped of any religious statues or symbols and has punished many with death for merely having pictures of angels or crucifixes in their homes.
The royal family is scared and had contacted many doctors paying out much money to get the King back on his toes but nothing has worked.
The King has sent for the best Warriors and Mages in the land to attend a meeting being held in the castle...he has much to discuss and has orders to give; he wants someone on the case and his holding onto dear life with his fingernails...he believes that if the angels curse is broken he will survive but there isn't much time left!

Still Interested? Here are the rules.
1. Be literate...the odd spelling mistake is fine, no one is perfect and I understand that some people might have a little bit of trouble with spelling but please just try to make your post understandable.
2. Try to avoid one liners; although if there really isn't much to reply with then it's fine...just don't make a habit of it.
3. This is a fanatsy RP but try to make things a little believable, for instance if you get injured you will not make a full recovery right away.
4. None of the characters can be unbeatable, your character will have flaws in their personality and their fighting.
5. Post as often as you can, tell me if you're going to leave.

Race.
Okay, I'm open to pretty much any race as long as it goes with the story, no vampires or werewolves. The story will be set in daylight as well as night time so vampires are kind of inconveniant and I just don't like werewolves biggrin
Your character can and probably should have some sort of magical ability, however if your character is amazing at fighting then they can't also be mazing with magic too. Now I'm not saying that your character can't do both...infact it would probably be better if they could but they can't be spectacukar in all areas...a perfect character is a boring one, flaws make them more three dimensional and interesting.
This is the application I'd like you to fill out, try not to miss any of it out!!

Personality: quiet, calm, and most of all, a loner.
Appearance: [ Ryuu ]
He has a wingspan of 12 feet from tip to tip(6 feet each wing), and he can 'hide' them into his back or 'grow' them out whenever he wants.
Weapons/Magic: Jet Black wings that are large enough to easily cover his body and other person in the cloak of night. Also good with accuracy stuff such as shooting a gun or throwing a dagger. He is very accurate with his throws, and can hit a penny from a mile away. He also has a very strong throw, but once you get up close, he is most likely to step back and start throwing daggers at you again. He is not horrible at hand-to-hand combat, but prefers not to fight in that style. He is strong on ffence, but horrible at defensive skills. He often will attack in continuous strings, not allowing his opponent a chance to hit him.
Proffession: High Ranking Assasin.
Bio: Ryuu was abandoned at the age of seven, left on the streets to die. But instead, he thrived. He started to learn the ways of the world since he was little - kill or be killed.
He used to live side-by-side with a group of other orphaned assasins, but soon, they were all caught by the police or killed off - he was the only one left. Recently, he aquired the position of a high ranking assasin, and now hold it up proudly, ready for any assignment sent to him - as long as it involves a lot of cash.
