Patlabor WXIII
I think some people should check it out or rent it or something
its near halloween and if any of you thinking of checking out a horror anime I suggest this one
don't be fool by the previous series because even though the series are all about robots and stuff this movie is about a detective and a monster on the lose
I enjoyed this movie and I haven't seen the prequels and I heard that the movie feature new characters so no need to know the past
you can't miss it its the third movie and it was license by Geneon where the other movie and previous series were license by some other company I forgot

Patlabor was a show with a lot of humor, action and some romance here and there (not much.) And blood and violence too.
From the looks of Patlabor 3, it's just like the series, only in a more serious tone. However, it doesn't look too far off from Patlabor 2, where things grew quite dark in only one hour of film.
I consider Patlabor: The Movie as the ending to the sequel, and 2 as an epilogue. As for 3, I doubt it'll ever get down here, and since I liked the show for the characters, not the mechas (or, to say it better, Ingrams ans AVSs are cool, but the characters are better,) then I'm quite sure a movie that doesn't include any of the original characters would end up being a letdown.
I would tell you, Talker, to watch the series and the two other movies. Unless you're wanting to see ******** like Evangelion that makes little (no) sense in the end, Patlabor's a fun show to see.

I seen Patlabor 3 on TV channel action few years ago and I probably missed the first part of the movie but I seen most of it and enjoyed it, and when the mecha came on I was like WTH but it didn't ruin my viewing.
patlabor 3 shows the original character for a few minutes d(^.^)b and the movie was still good, I haven't watched evangelion but I can say that patlabor 3 makes lots of sense (probably not the mecha part untill I learned about the history of the franchise.) I know because I saw some random people and I heard that those random people are the main character.
well In the United States this company license the series, then Geneon license the third movie,
and I'm not interested in mecha anime

That's a fair assumption, anime with mechas = mecha anime... But nope.
Just like Evangelion, the mechas are just there to help move the plot, but the human characters and their interactions are what make the show what it is (any fan of Evangelion that tells you the show's about mechas is not a fan, but a fanboi.)
In fact I think in the other two movies, the mechas were also seen in action at the end. Same as what happened in most episodes.
So nope, it's an anime with mechas, not an anime about mechas (true mecha anime would be Voltron, Mazinger or even some of the Gundam shows, where mecha fights took most of the episode's length and made the human characters secondary.)
