At two you are allowed to create a forum in the haven city thread. This can be anything from a tavern to a theater. At four you may create a thread in the Freedom City thread. At six you gain a hideout on your ship and another hide out at eight. At ten you look really awesome and will be asked to join the crew. Your name will be listed underneath the amount of renown you have earned.
