Now I'm noticing the Tokka in every episode, too.
(If the Tokka keeps up, then I'm going to be pretty certain that Suki is dead.)

But would Sokka, at this point, respond to that? Even if the age difference isn't big Toph is still a little girl while he is a teenage guy going for manhood. I would wait at least 3 years for them to work.
For me, the less couples the better. I'm not a romantic person and romance tends to tick me off

Second, Tokka wouldn't work, I wish it would but it won't. Toph is like 12 and sokka is like, I think from the way he looks, about 16-18. The age difference is huge, and well, Sokka has Suki. I think the producers made it this way to complicate things, although; I think maybe Suki is dead because of the whole Tokkka thing because they wouldn't be throwing toph at Sokka unless Suki was dead. (Kinda following suit to the whole Suki vs Yue thing) I really don't think it'll work though, I really couldn't see Tokka as well as I can see Kataang.

Well - in all honesties, Naomi - I think one needs to consider the time Avatar is placed. It isn't uncommon now if you marry someone who is ten years older than you (my own grandparents are eight years apart, my parents six, I have a friend who is ten years older than her husband, I've seen such things elsewhere that are currently unmentioned), and back then I'm certain it was even less uncommon. Point being, Sokka and Toph actually getting paired in the series wouldn't be that surprising.
xD But that's my opinion, so...

It's been obvious for a long time now that Toph's been crushing on Sokka. The only question is whether or not Sokka will return the feelings.
And honestly, how can age have anything to do with it? Aang likes Katara, and there's the same age gap there. 4 years, give or take, is nothing.

Actually it's a 104 year age difference. ^_^ (Sorry, I couldn't help myself but basically you're right) I too don't think the age difference is a big deal but what I think most people mean is the age difference at the moment when Aang/Toph are not quite teenagers while Katara/Sokka are almost adults. (Still waiting for Butterfly)

You'd have to be BLIND (no pun intended) to not notice the Tokka in this episode, Seira! I mean, holy crap, it was like PUMPED IN.
Needless to say I am so full of happy.
I screamed out loud when Toph had the little blushy thing. I was like, "HUZZAH, TOKKA IS ALIVE AND WELL!" My mom was sleeping though, so my sister's like, "SHHH. DDD<"
And yes my name is Stefanie. F. NOT PH. DD: It bothers me a little but I put up with it.
And the reason I came on so late is because YTV is made of epic fail two weeks in a row and I had to wait to download the damn thing.

Whoops totally forgot all about this thread.
@Shaolina: I don't really think Tokka will become canon, but the hints are good for the fandom.
@Naomi: I don't think Sokka is 18. He's probably the same age as Zuko, around 16. That's not a huge difference.
I don't think it's only there to complicate things, but I'm dubious as to how far it will go.
I like Tokka four hundred billion times more than Kataang, so I won't even respond to that. >.<
@Ash: I don't think it's a different time period, just a different "world". I do agree, though, and the age difference isn't bothersome at all.
@Negi: Hah. You're not a Kataanger, are you, Negi? I can't remember, for some reason.
@Stef: I'm sorry! I'm really bad with names. O.o
Hah. It was pretty obvious.

Yuuup. Well, apparantly, there was a 4-episode marathon last night that NO ONE FRIGGIN TOLD ME ABOUT, but the point is they're back up to date and next week I can actually watch it on TV.
And, just to clear up any age misconceptions, Sokka is 15 and Toph is 12.
Ages (from oldest to youngest):
Zuko: 16
Azula: 15
Mai: 15
Ty Lee: 15
Sokka: 15
Katara: 14
Aang: 12
Toph: 12
And that's all I know.
...I honestly don't remember how I know these. I just do. O_O; Interview?

It's mostly a guess. @Seira No, I'm a Zutara fan but I guess a Casual Zutara fan would be a better description. I just like that shipping more than Kataang.
