(( This RP is for Infini and Shar only please, thanks ))
The sky itself was beautiful in its twighlight grace. The time as the sun was setting and painting the sky with purples and blues as it dipped behind the mountains. Gemini smiled as he streched his wings, still with the youthful spirit of a colt. He was caught inbetween being a colt and an adult, his body was to lanky, his legs to long.
Still, in this awkward stage of his he smiled at the sky and streched his wings. It had been a long time since the kalona had attacked him and nearly torn his wing from his body. It still ached from time to time, and probably would for the rest of his life. Luckily he had been young and mended quickly as he had grown. Yet still he hadnt found the way to fly. Most that the young stallion had done was manage to glide.
He streched his wings and beat them furiously, hovering over the ground but this action caused him to be worn out quickly, he couldnt understand how his mother made it look so effortless and graceful.

She had been flying, enjoying the cool air near the mountains. Her mother had always warned her to be careful where she tread in them, since no one really knew what lived there, but it had never stopped the mare from flying close by. She let her body fall, bright mane streaming behind her.
As always, her landing was rough. All four hooves landing with a determined thud, beating into the earth and sending off a cloud of dust around her. It looked deliberately graceless, but it was the only way she'd learned to land. Somehow, she always made it through without a broken leg, so it worked well enough, right?

Gemini blinked a little and quickly folded his wings and turned around, the hair on the back of his neck standing up on edge as he heard the thud on the ground behind him. It sounded in his ears like thunder and struck cold fear into his heart. All he could picture in his mind was a red demon ready to grab at him from the shadows.
With effort he turned his head and peered into the night, if he had been able to fly he probably would have taken to the skies right then. It was taking all he had to stay rooted to the ground now and not flee. Determied to put his past behind him and proove to himself that the Kalona wasnt lurking around ever corner he quietly moved to look down the hillside. His breath frozen in his chest.

A soft snort, and the mare peered around to see... nothing. It was so darn dark! She snorted loudly, and cursed as her front hoof went into a small mound. "Ants. Disgusting." She stomped, trying to make sure they were off, while letting her eyes adjust to being closer to the ground. That was when she noticed that a patch of grey... wasn't a patch of grey. Well, it was! But it was a LIVING patch of grey. And if she didn't know better, she'd swear it looked scared. "Pardon my language..." she said finally.
Better to be polite than not.

Gemini's pale eyes looked down at her and her blinked again as she hopped to the side and began to fling the ants off of her hoof. He was so very happy to see it wasnt a Kalona that he nearlyer fell to the ground. Composing himself and clearing his throat he nodded down at her and smiled. "Not to worry miss." he said.
He looked around the hill top for a moment before making his way down to her. "How are you doing tonight? Other than the ants."

They were biting! She snarled and shook her hoof side to side, leaning down to gnaw at the bugs, which were now BITING her! Biting! "Name's not miss." she said absently, baring her teeth at her leg. "Yue." She gave him a blank grin, ignoring him for a few moments, until she was certain she was enemy-free. Than her attention went to the stallion, taking him in quickly.
Monochrome. Messy hair. Starry coat, like her mom, Ohanzee, and that Kishi freak. Male. "I'm alright." she sounded cautious, blank. Strange, perhaps, for a mare who had grown up with such a large family, but Yue had a certain level of caution some others lacked. Either that, or she'd never outgrown her mom constantly telling her not to talk to strangers.

Gemini tilted his head softly as he watched her start dancing, her legs where dotted with moving dark specks against her velevet fur. The ants where rebelling against her pressance and as she moved to gnaw at them and teach them a lesson he supressed a smile. It was wise not to land on an ant hill. Not that he knew much about flying, or landing for that matter.
He smiled at her, even though her smile had no warmth behind it. "Its a pleasure to meet you, Yue. My name is Gemini." he said as he watched her battle the ants. "You may want to move I suppose... I think they'll be back with more numbers..."

She nodded, already dancing off of the ant hill even as he spoke. "Nice to meet you, Gemini." she still paid more attention to the grass than the stallion, examining carefully for the dark attackers before her gaze went to rest fully on the other soquili. "Did I interrupt something in my landing? It was a little rough." it was common courtesy to ask, after all. She would depart if she had interrupted something, though the break was good for her wings. She'd spent most of the day enjoying the skies.

He watched her dance away from the ants, the army slowly going back to the hill now sure it was safe from her hooves. He smiled softly at them, so strong. He flexed his wings agains his back. Feathers gleeming in the silver light of the moon. He glanced at his wings for a moment before shaking his head. "No, Not really. Just... trying to figure out how to get to the sky myself." he said, after a moment. He had debated on just leaving it there, but had chosen to tell her about his attempts to fly. Even though she was a stranger it wasnt like it was something that should be hidden. He should rejoice in his attempts to fill his wings with wind as so many had done before him.

Her head tilted, and she glanced at the stallion. "What do you mean, figuring out how to get to the sky? It's easy...ish." the last was an amendment, as she could remember how hard it had been for her to get into the air. Her wings had seemed so weak, and her body huge. Maybe he was a youngling? "Flapping and hopping is a really good way to build up the stregnth in your wings." she said finally, encouragingly. "It may seem stupid, but it worked decently for me."

He looked up at her and nodded a bit. "Alright then. I have been doing a bit of that, But as you said it does seem a bit silly." he said with a crooked smile. "I will have to keep that up." he said with a nod, puffing out his chest. Not at her but at the idea that one day he would get into the sky, like she had, like his mother did. Yes, one day he would fly.
His tail flicked lightly against the grass and he deflated. "Well.. do you have any other pointers?" he asked, almost sheepishly. Since it appeared she had pretty much mastered the art of flying.

"Beyond flapping and hopping?" she frowned, thinking hard. "No, not really. If you fall really bad though, be careful not to over-stress your wings for a while. They need time off, even more than our legs do." She looked serious for a moment, thinking. "Want me to stay and go with you? Maybe trying to fly with someone will help? You can see how someone else takes off, and they can see if they notice anything funny in the way you try." She nodded. "My mom has fluttery wings, you see, and she'd been taught to fly by a kalona, so it was kinda hard to learn from her. But there were other people to show me and work with me, and that was easier. So maybe I can stay and work with you?"

Gemini looked at her and tried to not burst at his very seams. She wanted to stay and help! Oh, no one had really offered to help, and while he was stuborn he would take help when it was due...and he wasnt making very much progress on his own. He smiled and her and dipped his head. "I would very much like it if you would offer me your aid, and your skills. I'll do my best to learn from your example." he said, looking back up at her with his pale eyes and grinning from ear to ear.

She dipped her head in response, giving him a gentle smile. "And I'll do my best to teach you." She stepped around him, moving in a slow circle, trying to examine him. He looked so happy, and she didn't even know that she would be able to get him in the air! Her resolve strengthened, and she stiffened her shoulders. "So, show me some hopping." She winked.

Gemini stood strait and let her walk around him, he knew she was apprasing him with a keen eye and that made him even more excited. She offered to help him and that was all that mattered. He so desperately wanted to get into the sky that he didnt care how much work it would take. "yes Ma'm!" he said and began to jump into the sky, flapping his wings and once his hooves had touched earth again he would hop back up again.
