The Guardian
[Name] Alistair Greenwitch
[Alias] Alice
[Age] 36
[Hair] Dusty, dirt blond peppered in gray
[Eyes] Brown
[Height] 6'1"
[Build] Wide shouldered and well muscled, solid as a rock. The kind of in shape that comes from work, not working at it.
[Scar] At the right corner of his mouth, crossing both lips.
[Appearance] Plain but handsome, Alice is a large, well built man with short, dirty blonde hair that perpetually looks like it's three months late for a cutting.
He has simple taste in clothes- usually too preoccupied to worry about fashion, much- that tends to range from t-shirts and jeans to oxfords and... jeans. He tends to favor a G.I.P.D. (Gambino Island Police Department) Baseball cap when wandering outside the shop, and often forgets to remove the plain white apron he wears when working.
[Neutral.Good] -
What's Right isn't always what's comfortable.[Occupation] Owner and proprietor of Sistine, a candy shop in central Durem.
[Family] Alistair is the oldest of 4, (five if you count his parent's yorkie, Custard, his mother's pride and joy.)
Sam, the second child owns a small home improvement company with her husband and is one of Alice's closest friends. She helped to build Sistine and pops in and out occasionally to see how it's fairing.
Jo is the middle child and an accomplished business lawyer and bachelorette. She isnt nearly as close to her brother as Sam, but they get along alright.
Benny, the youngest Greenwitch child is still in highschool and lives with their parents. She is constantly frustrated with her siblings- especially Alice- and wishes they'd take things a little more seriously.
Rhys and Lauren Greenwitch are still a happily married couple 50 years later. They retired to Barton Town several years ago when it became apparent that retiring to Gambino Isle was not as relaxing as they had initially thought it might be.
[Personality] A laid back sort of fellow, Alistair has an easy smile and a calm angle to his shoulders. He's outgoing and sunnily tempered- to the point where most of his customers find him mildly detached from their reality. He's the kind of person who sings out loud to his headphones, and doesnt mind if you stare.
Despite a deep love of sweets, he rarely has any himself. The years he's worked the shop have failed to acclimate his system to the evils of sugar, and tends to be wired for hours afterward when trying out his new recipes. The change is noticable, and often comical.
[History] An eldest son and ex-policeman, Alistair was forced to retire at 31 when his knee was irreparably damaged in the riots following the zombie attacks of Halloween 2004. During his time in physical therapy the blond put together the paperwork and plans for his shop, opening it with the help of his family and friends a month after he was able to retire his cane- roughly a year after he had begun. Though he still walks with a mild limp that is most noticeable on rainy days, Alice has cheerfully hiked the road to recovery and seems largely unaffected by the incident.
His shop is the product of his love of children and the romantic, decorated in bright colors and countless candied creations that range from the pithy but cute, to extravagantly detailed. Well acquainted with the strange by now, he's the first to say nothing surprises him anymore, but he loves to chat up new customers in the hopes of hearing interesting news.
[Hobby] Previous to his retirement, candy making itself was Alistair's secret hobby. (And a lot of fun to show off at parties!) But since it has become his profession, the ex-cop has taken to collecting and caring for seaslugs.
Yes. You heard me right.
Nudibranch seaslugs, with their beautiful and diverse colors, attracted him like the shades of the candy he sells. Sistine is littered with their large, lavish aquariums, showing off the beautiful little creatures as much as his creations. They are very picky eaters, and very delicate in terms of skin and habitat, so they take up a large amount of his free time. Nevertheless, he's very dedicated and beams with pride every time he sees one of his patrons stare with curiosity into the tanks.
