The seaside air was rather nippy, making him gratefull for his quilted shirt and jeans. Wonderful creations jeans, you can wear them every where and they where hardy. The sea side lapped at his barefeet and he squeeled stepping back breaking out of his thoughts. Dear god, why did it become so cold at night?
Which brought him to a other great invention, the sunglasses. Just perferct for senstive eyes use to the Underdark. Perhaps he should invest in a pair of boots. To bad his favorite boots had been left behind in his father's camp sight. Frankly he wasn't going to ask his father for them back.
Hell, his thoughts had been rambling tonight. He shook his head, blue eyes gleaming, ivory blondish hair waving.

Manakel was taking a nice swim in the ocean near by the Labyrinth. In a few days he would be leaving for home accopanied by his new friends. But now he was enjoying a swim. He saw a rock jutting from the water and decided it would be a good place to sun himself. In Disney like fashion he pulled himself up onto the rock with a small wave crashing behind him.
His long blue tail stretched out and rested upon the stone while he leaned back onto his elbows. His light blue hair, still wet from ocean water, clung to his pale shoulders. If anyone were to see, one might mistake him for a female of his species as he hair fell down his chest. He didn't seem to notioce the dark skinned man walking so close to him along the shore. He was more interested in a nice sunning.

With a slightest tilt of a head, Illmaste glazed at the merfolk who just sprouted it and started to sun. He lowered his sunglasses, eyes squinting to make out the colorations. Blue hair, pale skin, kind of pretty for a boy and he was a boy, never mind all that hair.
A wicket smile cross his lips and slowly he started to move behind the merfolk, ignoring the cold lapping water or trying to. It was a bit numbing.

Up close the merman had strange tattoes upon his face and arms. His tail gleamed in the sunlight, dark blue and light blue coiling together like the deep blue ocean. His young age also showed in his face as he did not yet appear to have achieved manhood..merhood?....whatever. He still gave no notice to the person approaching him, he had seen others of his kind at the ball. Dark skin like his dear uncle and white hair like the elders of his land. It seemed to be a common trait to the sea faring king.

Tattooes! How novel and bold, if he didn't live for so long for him to regret any art and if his skin would actually show ink. Ilimaste slid next to him, and beamed up at the merman. "Why, hello." He pulled his feet from the water, it was chilly. "How are you doing?"

The boy smiled up at the dark skinned visitor, the marks upon his face now revealed to not be tattoos, but seemingly part of his skin. A birthmark of some kind. He sat up on his hands, his tail curling up a bit to allow more comfort. "Good Day Sir Drow. I am well, enjoying a nice swim and the warm sun. How are you this fine day?" To live so deeply in the water, merfolk could withstand the cold to a certain degree, therefor he was quite comfortable in the slight chill of the day.

Instead of answering Illimaste streched out, propping he feet on a rock, eyeing his toes trying to question if they where turning blue. 'I really should get my boots back.' Pushing the dark glasses farther up his nose, he reached back hands behind his head.
"Mmm? I'm rather chilled," 'And choking down laughter at the Sir drow part,' he added silently. "And your tail looks like a rather comfortable pillow. Kind of wet but," he reached over proding the tail.

"I have no shoes, even when I have legs." He giggled a bit as the man poked his tail and said it seemed a good pillow. "You are chilled? I find that staying dry tends to keep air breathers warm. But if your head upon my tail might warm you then you may. My name is Manakel, Emperor of Atlantis. What title to you answer to?" The boy looked curious as any one might be seeing a creature so unlike any other in his kingdom. The Drow was not so sharped tongued as he had heard them to be.

"I forgot my favorite boots at home," Illmaste sighed at that, taking the liberty of touching the scales to feed his curiosity. Not the best trait for a drow, it had often got him in trouble. "I'm already wet and find rocks quite bumpy perches that jab you in private places," he muttered and took the invitation, using the tail as a backrest. "Illmaste. My name is just Illmaste."

"It is a pleasure to meet you this day then, Illmaste. And yes, rocks are not always the greatest places to sun but one makes do with what one has." The boy's tail was all muscle and felt very powerful. One good swipe and he could probubly knock a man of his senses. Though wet they were not actually slimey as some fish seemed. Mana also had a curiousity about the drow whom used his tail as a rest. Mostly it was his ears. Ears were foreign in his land, as fish had no use for them and his own kind's ears had long become similar to fins. The pointly flesh on the side of the elf's head facinated the ruler.

Not the softest place to rest but then he had not expected it to fill like a pillow. The muscular length was easier to lounge on then any rock any day. "The beach. No rocks jabbing you in inappropriate places. Though sand does get into places and causes itching." He ran his fingers over the scales marveling at the colors. Blue hair, so fasting and he new it was not dyed.

"It seems we are both a wonder to each other. I having never seen so dark an air breather, and you having not see the folk of the sea. Had Lord Jareth not invited me to his home I would not have had to pleasure of seeing all these sights. Where do you hail, Illmaste?" He was curious of places outside the Labyrinth, forbidden to go beyong its walls until research had been done.

"It's all natural. Not to be achieved in any tanning salon," he said amused at the others speech patterns. And trying to puzzle out if he should take offence to the term air breather. But it was to be expected. He was the emperor of a city. "The Under dark, well what we call the Under dark."

"The Underdark? How can a city be under the dark? I am afraid I am confused. Can you tell me more of your home? Perhaps we can trade stories." He smiled like a child at story time, how he did love to learn. And with his new connections above water, his knowledge would greatly expand.

"Underground. The Underdark is under the ground,” he said patiently. Mana reminded him of Coby, which made him attempt to snuggle in the scales in reverie. "And..it's not a happy story. So why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?"
