So this is what it felt like, she thought with a glance over the swift current of the river, the young mare lifted her gaze. To be alone and on her own, she shivered slightly, it was just a little over whelming.
With tropical blue eyes, she turned away from the river. That would be for another day, something else she can test herself with, she'd make it on her own...she hoped.
The smokey colored mare trotted into the forest, broken rays on sunlight danced over her petite frame and the forest around her, it smelt musky, earthly...a strange twang of life and death all mingled together. Another shiver ran over her.
Ebony and creamy orange locks curled around and down her shoulders, brushing against her legs. Shaking her mane slightly, she continued forward, ears perked forward as she listened to the life around her.
The shrill of a hawk, and the scream of its prey caused her to step back a little bit, to prance in place as she gathered herself together, her wings tightened against her sides. She could do this..

It had been something of an interesting week for the young stallion, meeting a unikalona that confused him in more ways than one, and suddenly in his mother's good graces... or as much as he could be with Sukari, anyway. He was confused about her sudden attentiveness, but he wasn't about to complain, having strived for her recognition most of his life.
Stopping to sniff the air, he noted the unfamiliar scent of another soquili that graced it, oceanic hues scanning the foresty landscape before settling upon the petite form of an alicorn mare. One brow raised in curiosity at her alternately bright and dull colorations, but dismissed it with an idle shrug as he continued forward on his path.
Stopping before the clear waters of the small river, he offered a nod of acknowledgement to the mare before lowering his head to drink from the cool surface.

She was taken back but the sudden appearance of the stallion, she took a meek step back, she lowered her head in return greeting as she glanced away from him.
His dark colors were very lovely, but with a sigh the thoughts were gone out of her head. Darker gray area's marked her frame, a bit of bruising from Richard, dark rings under her eyes from lack of sleep.
Anemone had let herself go just a little bit.

Lifting his head slowly as water dripped from his chin, he eyed the alicorn curiously as he righted his posture. It seemed as if something had happened to her- her appearance was haggard, and her demeanor was timid... and was she afraid of him? That was something that he definitely was not used to... his mother emitted a dark and hostile aura about her that most people backed away from, but he didn't share that particular trait.
Curiosity got the better of him as he took in the bruising and bags beneath her blue eyes... had she been attacked? Not that he cared much, mind you, he was just itching for something to do... perhaps tracking down a skinwalker would provide some entertainment?
"What happened to you?" his voice was low and gruff, but unwavering as he faced the quiet mare, straightening a bit as he looked over her injuries.

She tried not to hold her breath as he moved, or shudder in fear. She kept taking calming breaths, slow and slightly shallow as she moved towards the rivers edge again, she would attempt to move through it, the current would whisk her away, but instead she lowered her muzzle and took a slow drink.
She felt strange as he looked over her frame, she felt like a freak on display. Richard had really broken her self confidence, she looked away from him again. "Please dont stare.." She asked softly, her usually hushed whisper voice was even softer.
"I got what I deserved..Attention isnt the answer." She sighed, it had been the only reason she'd stayed around. She'd basked in the attention, no matter how much it had hurt her in the end.
