What's on Your Playlist? Yeah, those of us who still poke at the Harry Potter subforum have seen these threads, but I thought the Guild could use one too, so.. ~ What sort of music do you listen to while you're writing for a character?~ Do each of your characters have their own playlist?~ Did you listen to a certain song or band while coming up with one of your characters?~ What bands make your characters twitch?~ And anything else related to this.

I listen to Vanessa Carlton a lot when I'm posting as Hermione -- mostly White Houses and Nolita Fairytale.
I listen to a lot of Groove Coverage and Nine Inch Nails for male charaters like Blaise or Harry. Very sharp difference between those two bands, I know. XP
And for Severus, I listen to a lot of 3 Doors Down, Marilyn Manson, The Postal Service (I love Sleeping In and Be Still my Heart), and Carbon Leaf.
...And, of course, Gwen for Draco. :D

I listen to video game music for Christ. Like Mario, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc.
Teddy's Broadway musicals. La Cage au Folles, RENT, etc.
I was listening to Aqua when I made William. XD

Nothing specific though, and I hardly pay attention to it anyways... I just like having some background noise because the silence is distracting.
Sometimes songs inspire fics, but.... not characters so much for me.....

Oh, I listen incessantly to all sorts of music. With Spica, I tend to listen to more happy-go-lucky or innocent-ish music such as Genius Boy by O.Lamm or Eisley.
Oh, and this one song... Fool Moon Fire by Walter Egan. Along with Das Tier in Mir by E.Nomine, which is on Spica's profile.
...I have to admit that I also really enjoy listening to Woe is Me and I'm Not That Smart from the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, because it makes me giggle. <3
For Faris, I s'pose I lean towards music like OK GO, though more specifically Connecticuts for ********> by Jesus H. Christ and Shut Up and Sleep With Me by Sin With Sebastian. xD <3
And for Gwen, I listen to... uhm. Katamari Damacy theme music.
For Mrs. Weasley (off this guild) I listen to The Cardigans. *gigglesnort*
Really, I just listen to whatever is on my iTunes (mostly Indie, techno, synthpop) and the subpoprecords youtube account music videos. e3e;
...I put too much thought into this.

It should be noted that as soon as I have the ability to do so, I'm totally doing a Hermione/George video to this to be funny. XD If only there was a scene in the movies where George face-palms...

In the DECAA, we use to talk SO MUCH about songs. We had a new song for a new situation like almost every single day.
But I still stand by my idea that the Motion City Soundtrack album Commit This to Memory is perfect for Molly (and Molly/Bella).

My fave CD at the moment is one I sniped from my mom, that she got for christmas. It's a burned CD, and it's got a lot of Enya on it.
It's all just really... mellow. The first few days I listened to it at night, and while I was going to sleep (Which I don't do)
I like itttt.
Plus it has a different version of my FAVOURITE SONG EVER ON IT. It's done by Sarah McLachlan and a group called Evans Blue and others as well. I just love eet. It reminds me of Godfrey/Voldemort, but I don't exactly know why. It just feels like it. xD I like the Evans Blue version best.

So I started listening to Mindless Self Indulgence. Makes me think of what Scorpius listens to when he's 100% certain no one will see him with an MP3 player.
He's such an angry boy...
And on the other hand, listening to Britney Spears again has kick started my girl!student musings...
My music tastes are so varied. o_o I was listening to Eminem and some Daft Punk remixes earlier tonight...

Reg: The Used
That's how I imagine how his voice sounds and how he'd be on stage. Diving off the side, half falling around, and screaming just to get some of his frustration out. He plays a lot more now than he did before, mostly because he's not playing errand boy to the war and because he's a lot more frustrated and in need of getting some sort of word out.
Love this one: Taste of Ink
This is his theme for the Guild: Apocalypitca - I Don't Care. The video makes me think of him with the Death Eaters too, if only the singer was a bit scrawnier, ya know?
Flyleaf - All Around Me is the song that actually inspired Reg/Hermione for me. Reg was playing around with a guitar and "accidentally" sang it in front of Hermione. (He totally knew she was there.)
For characters like Sirius I typically like stuff like: 3 Doors Down and Nickelback
I really want to make a Spica/Sirius video to that Nickelback song. Not them as a pairing, just them all happy family because she's kinda what made Sirius get his s**t together and want to be around after all that happened him.
Mulciber: Mudvayne (Post Deathly Hallows!Mulciber theme) , The Blank Theory, and Evans Blue.
Also for Mulciber Snape I like: Breaking Benjamin - Sooner or Later. It goes perfectly with telling their relationship throughout the first war. Mulciber taking Severus under his wing and allowing him into the inner circle, Severus being forever torn about Lily, and Mulciber always being willing to understand and stand up for Severus even after all the s**t Severus has pulled.
