I've got a thing for Lullabies to Paralyze, maybe because it was the first album of their's I got. But yeah, QOTSA is really great, they have some of the most catchy and fun stuff to listen to. One of my top favorite bands for sure.

But yeah, QOTSA is really great, they have some of the most catchy and fun stuff to listen to. One of my top favorite bands for sure. I'd say that that one is my second favorite. And Songs for the Deaf was my first album.

Their newest one is kind of lacking, though, sad to say, but it's kinda lacking the power of Songs for the Deaf and Lullabies to Paralyze. Not to say there aren't any good songs on there, though, they sure can write some catchy songs. I need to check out Rated R and the first album, those two are the only ones I don't have, I own the rest of the CDs, though.

And just behind Songs... and Lullabyes, I haven't heard the new one yet though.

Did not actually listen to "Era Vulgaris" yet. I'd say "Songs for the deaf", although the quality is high in all of them, so do not really know...

Some people go to there shows just to throw stuff at Josh, I have a boot leg of one of there shows my buddy was at, Josh accused my friend Miles of throwing a water bottle at him during Go with the Flow. "I will go... with the... YOU IN THE GREEN T SHIRT, I SAW YOU THAT TIME YOU ******** p***y, I will say it doest I WILL ******** YOU IN THE a** YOU b***h!" They have a lot of energy live, and all play there weapon of choice vary well.

Gravechylde Why were they throwing stuff at him? Its usably just one solitary a*****e, not the crowd, every one there is normally really into them, some times a little to much... To guys who were in front of me started freaking out (probably due to a large amount of mushrooms that he tried to sell me xp ) and had to get kicked out, the guards HAD to pull him off the rail, they were not letting go with out a fight. Enough of reminiscing on my past experiences with them, the moral of the story is: See them live, they are awesome.

You know, everybody I've ever heard talk about them loves them. My best friend gave me Lullabies to Paralyze several years ago and I'll periodically give it a listen, but I have to admit... I don't get it. I'm not going to claim they're horrible, or even overrated per se. I just assume there must be something going on that I'm flat out missing because QOTSA seem to have a huge following of people with generally good musical taste, and I can't figure out why.
