Hooves thundered against the ground as Gemma made her way to the clearing that she called her home. She'd just...Had to get away from that purple stallion. Everything was crashing toward her like the relentless sea (and she would never know how ironic that statement was at the moment) that captured hold of her.
All of her thoughts, currently, were going round in circles and she needed...She needed the gentle guidance of her mother. Into the clearing she came, slowing only when she saw the tell-tale gold and purple flashed with green that was her mother laying beside the lake. Glad that her siblings and papa weren't around, she trotted toward the unicorn and lay down heavily beside her, panting and trying to catch her breath. No words were spoken, not yet. She had to stop her racing heart.

Hienna had been quite content enjoying the quiet of a day by herself. While it was odd, with all three children off and grown and her mate not around, it was comforting as well. It had been quite a while since she'd been able to be alone with her thoughts. At least, she had been until the hooves against the ground signaled something very wrong.
"Gemma?" Hienna asked, furrowing her brows and turning her head to look at her little girl (who obviously wasn't so little any longer), "Are you all right? Are you hurt?"
Leave it to the mother to instantly think that someone had hurt her little girl! Though, to her credit, she was staying put and not yet rising to her feet to charge into battle.
