((since I didnt know what pets you were using xD... I'll edit it later))
Nalin bounced around happily. It was the first time his father had let him out away from the house alone and he was loving every minute of it! Currently, he was romping through some tall grass, enjoying the sense of freedom and alone-ness. It was really quite refreshing to be away for a while.
From the side of his eye, he noticed a flash of orange. Turning, he saw a monarch butterfly perched on a flower. Seeing this as his perfect opportunity, he squatted low to the ground his butt up in the air. Without a seconds notice he pounced towards the poor unsuspecting butterfly.

Mohana released a yawn, tail swishing lazily behind her as she stared out over the open field before her. She had slipped out of her parents' house for the first time alone. She knew her parents wouldn't be happy with her little escape, but she had gotten so bored hanging around their home that she needed to get out and do something.
But what was there for her to do out here? She trotted forward, keeping an eye out for something interesting.

Nalin, being the overactive cub that he was, overshot the butterfly by several inches. He tried to land gracefully, but his muscles simply did not move that way. Instead, he twisted and lost his balance, tumbling down a hill.
Thankfully, he landed in a heap of dust and leaves, made by some animal or other. Nalin sneezed as the pile began to settle again, and sat there looking slightly bewildered.

She trotted along a path, winding around the base of a hill. So far, Mohana had yet to spot anyone in the area. She was beginning to feel discouraged and pondered turning around to head back home.
Then a noise caught her ear. It twitched, and she looked this way and that way, seeking the source of the noise. Not a moment too soon, she spotted the thing rolling down the hill and jumped aside and out of its way before it landed in a nest of leaves.
Mohana blinked down at the other, now seeing it was another Minya. "A-Are you all right?" she asked, concerned that the other might have been hurt in its spill down the hill.

Nalin's ears perked up and he looked around in attempts to locate who was talking. Pawing a little bit at his face to get the dirt and grass off, he smiled at the other minya.
"Yea, I'm fine. Just a little bruised thats all." He grinned at the other minya.

Mohana tried to hide a giggle behind a paw as she watched the other try to clean grass and dirt from his face. She coughed and shook her head, flicking back a lock of hair that had fallen into her eyes.
"That looked like a bad tumble," she said and offered a paw to help the other Minya to his feet.

Nalin took the proffered paw thankfully. The roll had left him a little shaky on his feet. "It wasnt so bad, I think I've had worse. This one is pretty high on the list though." He wasnt sure that he'd ever fallen all the way down a hill then off a ledge. Nalin felt lucky that he landed on a soft bush instead of the ground.
He stood and looked at the other minya. In his mind he looked fine, but in actuality there were still leaves and twigs sticking out randomly in his fur, and his red paws had turned mostly brown due to dust.

"I can't imagine a worse fall!" Mohana said, surprised that this Minya may have suffered even worse tumbles down hills. Thanks to her father, she was always as careful as she could be on her feet. She had almost perfected walking with no sound to her steps. Somehow, her father always seemed to hear her though.
She giggled; then she raised a paw to hide it until she got the giggles under control again. "You have a bit of dust and stuff," she said, indication the stuff clinging to the other's fur with her paw.

Nalin grinned. "Falling out of a tree is much worse than this!" He couldnt help it if he was a rough an tumble cub, his curiosity often got the better of him.
Nalin tilted his head and his ears twitched at the other minya's giggling. When he figured out what he was laughing at, Nalin blushed furiously. He had inherited some of his fathers cleanliness habits afterall. Noticing a small pond nearby, he eagerly jumped in, attempting to scrub himself clean while still being gentle with his petals ((??? not sure if there really petals or wings or... something else? xD)). A few minutes later he jumped out and shook the water off of his fur.
Smiling sheepishly he looked over at the other minya. "Better?"

"You fell out of a tree?" Mohana explained, her eyes growing wide. "That must have been painful!" She didn't even want to imagine how much it must have hurt to fall out of a tree.
She followed the other Minya to the small pond. When he finished washing, she looked him over. "Yup!" she answered with a nod and a smile after she found no leaves or twigs or dust still clinging to his fur.

Indra shrugged. "Eh, I got lucky... I fell on my dad." He looked over at her grinning. One of his ears was still heavy from water, and drooped off to the left of his head.
"Oh!" He blushed. "I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Nalin!" He pawed at his ear in attempts to get some of the water off.

Mohana had to giggle a little at the image that came to mind when he announced that. For some reason, the image of this other young minya falling on top of his father - whoever that was - offered an amusing image.
She coughed to calm her giggles and held out a paw to him. "I'm Mohana," she said, grinning at him.

Recognizing the cough giggles fairly easily (Nalin did the same thing) he grinned. "Its alright to laugh, it was pretty funny!"
Nalin took the offered paw and shook it. "Its nice to meet you Mohana. Do you live around here? I've never seen you before." It was then that Nalin noticed the butterfly he had pounced for. It was drifting lazily along just behind Mohana, and his eyes couldnt help but follow it.

"I live," Mohana started as she glanced around the area, only now realizing that she didn't really know which way "home" was anymore. "Um, I live somewhere around here," she finished with a blush marring her cheeks.
She blinked and glanced to the side, trying to see what Nalin was looking at.

"Thats cool. I live up the hill there and a little ways over... saw the door open today and took my opportunity." He grinned proudly about sneaking out. "Do you not remember where you live?" He added the last part reluctantly, only doing so because of Mohana's blush.
All of this was said slightly distracted though, as the butterfly was still catching his attention. Realizing Mohana had noticed his strange gaze he blushed, and tried to keep his focus on their conversation rather than the butterfly... regardless of how awesome... and yellow... and delicious it looked.
