For Quick, being held in high regard by the Alpha is one of the most important aspects of pack life. She still hasn't come into her abilities and she worries constantly that it will diminish Nuiks opinion of her.

She makes him feel like he's still a kit and inspires feelings of awe tempered with fear. Nexxy hasn't yet found his niche in the pack.

Growing up in the Namasi household, she learned to love her uniqueness. Tay knows her place in the pack. Healing is her calling but she still needs to train with Nuiks to refine her skills.

Mostly, he's been following Tay around, doing his best to emulate her.

The oldest of the group, Lumi is like the big sister. She can be bossy sometimes but she's fair. And she's softened considerably since she finally got together with Vena.

Arien *
Arien is a born troublemaker. She's a bit spoiled and picks on everyone but she never means anything by it and always makes it up to her 'siblings'.

Hinoko *
Hinoko is very calm and laid back. And, most times, she's the referee for her brothers and sisters. It's tough keeping them all in line, though.

Tsarmina *
Tsarmina actually belonged to a friend of Elros but he couldn't continue to care for her and so Tsarmina came to live with El and the rest. She was a typical temeo kit and now she's a lovely adult. <3 Who's still ape for cookies >>

Peppermint *
Peppermint is the youngest of the bunch. She's sweet for the most part but better not make her angry. That candycane hurts. Dx

Narcissus *
Pompous and stuck-up, Narcissus is aptly named. As far as she's concerned, the whole universe revolves around her and everyone should drop to their knees before her and pray.

Fortuna *
Fortuna is a very laid back and spiritual temeo. She believes in karma and reincarnation. She's in tune with the elements. And she hugs trees and rubs crystals.

Celest *
Celest is bubble-headed and sweet and always talking a mile a minute. Though she has a habit of talking too much, she's also very charming so it balances out. ^^

Madame Eolande *
Eolande is regal and mysterious all in the same breath. With one look from her sparking greens eyes, she can captivate you and inspire you to serve her will. Oh, and did I mention she doesn't wear much in the way of clothes?

Greg *
Somewhat aloof and reserved, Greg also has an ironic sense of humor. But what else would you expect from the Grim Reaper?

Feza <3
Feza doesn't like to be cuddled or held or any of that 'girly stuff'. Or, at least, he doesn't like admitting he does. For the most part he's all bravado but he really does enjoy attention. That's why when he and Arien collaborate, bad things happen. xp
Foxx

Gavin *
Gavin embarrasses easily. His cheeks are almost always red. But he's a sweet sort and once he gets used to someone, he's very loyal and loving. 3nodding

Yahto <3
You might think Yahto is a mute or maybe just slow but he's really not. He just has a very strong filter and only speaks when necessary. 3nodding He shows emotion easily and obviously enough, though. So, even if he doesn't say anything, you can tell what he's thinking. ^^

Vali *
Vali just grew up so fast his personality really couldn't keep up. Now that he's an adult, it's time for Vali to find out more about himself. <<
He was previously the only son of Vena and Lumi until Halla came along. But he doesn't mind; he digs the big-brother gig.

Preh'Dai *
Preh'Dai is sort of the emo boi of the group, given his "*sssssigh* Fine" attitude. He also dislikes his name. In his opinion, Sparkly would have been a less ridiculous sounding name. But when El found him, he had no name. So he should prolly be grateful.

Flash *
Flash has a touch of the ol' ADHD so he's a little fast-paced and eccentric. But, after living alone for so long in fear that people would be freaked out by his erratic behavior, Flash met a girl. Then he decided to get more involved with the shop and eventually found his way to Elros' doorstep.

Kulani *
Kulani is a very laid back, beach bum sort of guy. He actually has a place of his own on Gambino Isle but he stays at El's when he's in town..or when he's out of food. << Doesn't hurt that he's got a bit of a crush on El, either.

Halla *
Halla is the first natural born anthro son of Lumi and Vena. Come to think of it, he's also the first natural born anthro in the shop. Yay for science! xD He's quite the hyperactive kidlet. He gets along great with Flash but always manages to get on Feza's nerves. Still he's a good boy and will probably grow to be quite the handsome devil. wink
Icee
N/S/B: Icee; Male; Lightbringer

Hoax *
Hoax is a bit of a prankster; he gets along well with Arien and Feza. His favorite holiday is Halloween. His second favorite. April Fool's! He can be kind of a snot but he plays tricks for the lulz, not out of any sort of malevolence. So, if they go wrong and really hurt someone's feelings, he apologizes right away and tries to make things right.
Ghost
N/S/B: Ghost; Male; Imp

Allstar *
Allstar is kind of a jock. He enjoys sports, both watching and playing them. In either case, he can get pretty vehement. Elros finds him to be a great companion when she gets the random urge to watch football.

Slevyn *
Slevyn is, as of right now, the only mountain tem in residence at the Namasi household. Fall and winter are his favorite seasons; he likes the chilly weather. He's fun-loving and childish and doesn't seem like he'll grow out of it anytime soon.

 

[Elros Namasi]

"Stupid time for a vacation. 'Hey, I've got a new temeo bottle. I know, I'll leave town for 4 days with my boyfriend.' That was brilliant considering how much of a butt your boyfriend was being," she muttered furiously to herself as she threw down her duffel bag and shut the door behind her, the fur on her kitty ears and tail bristling.

"Yeah, it was a pretty poor choice to take off like that, Elros. Quick has missed you.."

"How can you tell, Arien?"

"She's more active when you're around," the gold-colored female temeo said matter-of-factly as she hopped off the couch.
"Greg's up in your room with her and Hinoko."

Elros nodded her thanks and started up the stairs, pausing when she got to the top to take a deep breath before she walked into her room. She worked up a smile for the two temeos lying on her bed with Quick's bottle sitting between them.

"Greetings, Elros."

Hinoko quirked an eyebrow at Greg then smiled and bounced over to affectionately rub against El's legs.
"Welcome back. Someone's been kinda gloomy without you around," she murmured, looking over her shoulder at Quick's bottle.

"I know. I already got a talking-to from Arien," the catgirl sighed then moved over to the bed, taking the seat Hinoko had vacated.
"Hi Quick. Did you miss me?" she asked meekly. Not even a hiss from the bottle.
"Aww, c'mon bisQuick! You know I'm sorry!" she wailed, prostrating herself before the bottle, and was rewarded with a tiny bubbling she knew to be a giggle.
"I'm terrible! I deserve to be punished! I must be flogged," she continued dramatically and was rewarded with more bubbling. And the more over the top she got, the more the liquid in the bottle bubbled and hissed.
Eventually, she stopped and smiled, reaching out to scoop up the bottle.
"So, d'you love me again nesQuick?" she asked, looking hopeful. A moment of silence passed but then the bottle emitted a soft fizzle pop and the catgirl's smile broadened into a grin.
"Yay! I'm so glad!" she chirped.
"So will you reward me soon by coming out of your bottle? The waiting is so hard." ><;

Greg and Hinoko exchanged glances and rolled their eyes.

"Back home for all of 5 minutes and she's already pressuring Quick out of her bottle," Hinoko murmured, trying to sound stern.

"Oh, drop the tone. You know you find El's erratic behavior endearing," Greg chided, a tiny smile curving his lips.
"Let's leave them be," he suggested, ushering Hinoko to the door.

But they both had to stop in the doorway and let out an "aww, how sweet" sort of sound when they turned to see Elros already passed out on the bed, cuddled up with Quickening.

Event!
Vaporization.

Soothed by the return of her caretaker and adoptive mother, it seems like the resident of the bottle has perked up a little.
While the exhausted foster-to-be snoozed peacefully, the liquid stirred.
Popping and hissing idly, someone was ready to meet the world.

Heating abruptly, like Temeo-liquid always did before vaporizing, the bottle gave a low whistle of warm air. Bubbling excitedly, the bottle toppled over, some of the content spilling out-- but vaporizing immediately once exiting the bottle.
Swirling rapidly, the vapor began to form out the shape of a Temeo and soon enough, a surprised looking fluffy creature was there to accompany you.

[Elros Namasi]

At first, all Quickening could do was sit and look around, her eyes huge. It was so different outside of her bottle. It had been warm and snug in there but out here...well, there was just so much space.
Amazed, Quick got to her feet and only stumbled a couple times while she walked around on the bed, exploring.

Unaware of the small miracle that had just taken place, Elros rolled over onto her back and stretched, letting out a feline yawn and then grumbling to herself about how she still felt so tired.

Quick's ears perked at the sound of the familiar voice and she turned, breaking into a grin when she saw the catgirl lying there. Happily, the temeo kit bounced over to her caretaker and climbed onto her chest, settling herself so she was nearly nose to nose with Elros and gently pawing at the girl's cheeks.
"Mama?" she managed to ask clearly in her baby voice after only a couple unsuccessful attempts.

"Hunh? Who's there?" she mumbled bleerily, cracking one eye open and peering around sightlessly. When her vision finally came into focus, her violet eyes met Quick's honey-brown ones.
She let out a surprised squeak and jerked back, sinking into the mattress some but then her eyes opened wide with shock and she let out another squeak, this time out of excitement, and threw her arms around the fluffy creature perched on her chest.
"Oh Quickie! You vaporized!" she squealed, rubbing her cheek against the kit's soft forelock.
"Well hello there, sweetie."

Giggling hysterically at the comic reaction, Quickening giddily returned Elros' nuzzles, her tails swirling furiously in happy circles.
"Huwwo," she chirped then smiled winningly, earning an excited shout and a kiss on the nose from the kitty girl.

"Man, what's with all the noise?" Feza asked grumpily as he walked into Elros' room and plopped down just inside the doorway so he could rub at his eyes.
His answer came in the form of a kit crashing into him and knocking him over onto his back.
"What the!? Arrrrggh!"

Laughing from the bed, Elros sat up and pushed her unruly pink hair out of her face so she could better see Quickening slowly killing Feza with affection.
"BisQuick vaporized today," she said cheerfully, holding up the empty bottle instead of moving to pull the kit off the older male.

Responding to the strangled cries for help coming from Feza, the rest of the gang slowly filtered in, all 14 ears perked with curiosity.

"Aww, dee leetle von waporrrized," Tsarmina drawled, sitting back on her haunches and smiling at the scene.

"Would someone please help me?!! She keeps nuzzling me and stuff!"

"Nah, I don't think we will. You seem to be doing ok," Lumi observed, biting her lip to keep from grinning outright.

Tiring of Feza's squirmy reaction to her luffling, Quick stopped and sat up, looking around at all the smiling faces.
"Hilo! Biskick," she said, pointing to herself with a paw and getting a giggle from everyone, even Feza.

"Silly-silly, your name's Quickening," Hinoko explained, moving to nuzzle the new kit.

Screwing up her face, Quick tilted her head and silently mouthed the word until she thought she had it right.
"Kick..ning?" she said, giving Hinoko a questioning look.

"Close enough for jazz," Gavin chimed in with a shrug, then smiled around at everyone.
"Now she's gotta learn the rest of our names. I don't envy her that. Took me forever to learn them all when I came out of my bottle.."

"Yeah, I remember. But it was so sweet that you kept calling Lumi 'Wumi'," Elros said with nostalgia, earning an embarrassed pout from the white male. Then she let out a sigh and got out of bed, walking over to scoop Quick up in her arms.
"Soon enough she'll be an adult. Speaking of which, she needs to meet Nuikuru.." At the mention of the name, everyone conspicuously disappeared.
"Aww, c'mon guys!" Elros called out.
"She's not that scary. If you're polite to her, she's polite to you," the catgirl pointed out but she knew they wouldn't listen.
"There really isn't any reason to fear Nuiks. She's just kind of intimidating at first. But she's alright when you get to know her," Elros assured Quickening, rubbing her cheek over the little one's fluffy forelock again.
"In fact, I think we should stop by the shop as soon as possible. There's supposed to be an event coming up soon. Won't that be fun?"

Quick wasn't sure what 'fun' was but, judging by the grin on El's face, it had to be something good. So with the reckless abandon of youth, she wiggled with delight and licked Elros' nose.
"Yus!"

"And if we see Nuikuru, you'll be a good girl, right?"

"Yus mama! I be good giwl," she confirmed, nodding once, firmly, to prove that she would.

Meet Nexus!

"Ah, home sweet home," Elros sighed as she entered the modest little house, using her hip to shut the door behind her.
"Now to get these two upstairs.." Carefully mounting the steps, El slowly made her way to the bedrooms, pausing in each doorway to check on her 'babies'.
Satisfied that everything was in order, the catgirl finally entered her own room and gently set Quick and Nexxy down on her bed.

Opening one sleepy eye, Quick peered up at her mama and smiled then let out a mighty yawn and snuggled into the mountain of pillows piled up at the head of the bed.

With a laugh, Elros slipped off her shoes then crawled into bed too, gathering both kits in her arms and hugging them close.
"Did you two have a good day today?"

Nexus, already sound asleep, simply burrowed closer to his mama and snuffled, breathing in her scent.
Comfortable beyond all reason, the little male slept on, dreaming of cookies and pixies.

Barely conscious at this point, Quickening's speech was slightly slurred, but she still managed to babble.
"I had lotsa fun. Miss Nuiks showed me the pixies and Fitz 'dopted me. But den dis wude female came in and started twyin' to pick a fight wiv Miss Nuiks. But she just gave 'ew that 'I'm da boss' look an'..an'..."
She trailed off for a moment, her head nodding against El's chest then, with a snort, she sat up again and continued.
"And den I got ta meet my baby bwuvvew an' he got to see dah pixies too. I dun t'ink he got ta meet Miss Nuiks, tho'. He'd like 'er 'cause she's nice. And Mama?"

"Yes, baby?"

"I wuv you," she murmured then immediately went to sleep, snuggled against her mama and her 'bwuvvew'.

Warmed through, Elros wiped the moisture from her eyes then settled in for the evening, cuddled with her little ones.

Elros, miserable with a cold, lay in bed, opting to stay there and contemplate her death instead of attempt to romp with the 'children'. She'd sent them out to play and ordered Feza along, under strict orders to keep the kits out of trouble. But that'd been when?
Wheezing, she struggled to sit up and pawed helplessly at the clock, peering at the out of focus numbers. But, before she could deduce just exactly what time it was, her ears twitched toward the doorway, picking up a commotion downstairs.
"Oh good lord..."

"Mama! Mama! Lookie!" Quickeing squealed, racing into the room a step ahead of her younger brother, Nexus. Feza was nowhere in sight..

'They've buried him in the yard,' she thought silently, picturing the purple tem's tails and head sticking out of a pile of dirt.
"Where's Feza?" she asked, holding up a hand to stop Quick before she got going.

"Dunno. He tol' us to go hide and he'd seek," Nexxy chimed in, hopping up on the bed next to Elros and curling up on her lap.
"But come lookie what we foun'," he insisted, tugging gently at his mama's sleeve.

Plotting just how to murder Feza, Elros reluctantly followed, wrapping her comforter around her shoulders and grabbing the box of tissues on the way.
Just as she was about to get impatient and ask just what the hell it was she got out of bed to see, Quick and Nexxy dashed off then came back, looking pleased with themselves.

"See?" Quick said cheerfully, placing a piece of candy, in a black and yellow wrapper, at Elros' feet while Nexxy did the same. His piece was wrapped in black paper with white markings.

Trying to hide her annoyance, Elros forced a smile.
"Oh, that's nice. Candy. Are ya gonna eat it?"

"We're not 'upposed to," Nexxy said, without explanation then ran off with his sister to tuck the pieces of candy somewhere safe.

Muttering under her breath, Elros stomped back upstairs, stopping on the way to ask Hinoko to take over babysitting while she, Elros, went back to bed and thinking about dying..

"Mama, mama!"

"Mama, come look!"

Exasperated, Elros set aside the book she was reading and momentarily considered hiding under the covers and pretending to be unconscious. Honestly, if it was candy again...
"You've already showed me 4 pieces. If it's another piece of candy, I'm gonna take it from you guys and eat it," she muttered to herself as she slowly got out of bed and donned her royal mantle (the fluffy comforter she'd cocooned herself in).
Wheezing a little, she clumped down the stairs, pouting because her toes were already getting chilled.
"So what is it this time?"

Bouncing in place, Quickening vigorously gestured for Elros to follow.
"C'mon, c'mon! You gotta see, mama!" she cried, racing outside with Nexus fast on her heels.

"We was playin' and lookin' for more candies but but we foun' this instead," the little male practically shouted, so excited he could barely contain himself.
Eager, he hurried the mystified Elros along to a secluded corner of the gardens and stood, vibrating with enthusiasm while his sister disappeared into the plants.

Instead of returning face first, Quick scooted out rear end first, dragging something pretty heavy by the look of things.

"What've you got there?" Elros asked then stopped dead, drawing in a gasp. Another bottle? Ok, this was getting ridiculous. She'd adopted Quickening by choice but then Nexxy had appeared out of nowhere...
Resigned to it, Elros knelt down with Quick and Nexxy next to the bottle and scooped it up in her arms. And the moment she touched it, she knew it was a girl.
"It looks like you guys have a new baby sister..."

"Ooooooh. A sistew?" Quickening asked, eyes wide, then giggled at the bubbling noises the newest edition was emitting.

"Whatser name?"

"Well, I don't think she has one. It's up to us to give her a name," Elros explained, cradling the bottle while she carefully got to her feet and wandered inside. thinking.
After a long moment of silence, the catgirl smiled and bent to look into Quick and Nexus' bright faces.
"What do you guys think of the name 'Tay'?" she asked and received shouts--and fizzles--of assent.
"Alright then. Welcome home, Tay."
