Please comment on my story! I need HELP!!!

Arizona cried. What was happening to her? She breathed deeply as she ran, far away from the prison she had spent her life trapped in. She felt happy, but sad at the same time. Scars covered her back, from the many whippings she had received from the slave trade. Her friend sped behind her, joyous as a butterfly, eager to see what life was like in the open.
"California," Arizona called out. "We're free!!" Both girls had been named according to the state they were captured in.
California ran even faster, passing Arizona. "What do we do next?" California yelled, spotting a huge city. Neither of them had been in a city before, they had only lived on small ranches as slaves. Frightened by the size of the city before her, California joined her friend in her tears.
Arizona hadn't thought about after their escape when planning, just about their actual escape. So, as she stood there crying, she thought. Her head was spinning, tossing around dozens of ideas when the perfect one hit her. She remembered that both she and California had stolen some money from their guards at the slave center.
