Upon a well lit table an ashy-grey book stands alone, a pencil carved from wood lay next to it, and the tablelamp seems just recently dusted off. Everything is in perfect order for a tiny while.

A fit male Temeo of ashen-grey and rich blue coat steps to the light, flashing a smile at the book, soon a puff of smoke appearing next to him and a large female emerging, snarling at the male and snathing the book.

Bio

Name: Karo
Race: Half elemental-elf
Age: 18
Gender: Female

Persona:
Karo is a rather mellow teenager, if a bit unpredictable at times. She tries her best to keep a smile on her face for her shop's sake, and for the most part, she is a content young woman, even if she lets the world know more about her misery.
She has gathered quite a pack around her, and they're all quite a handful. But she loves each and every one of them, though she hardly sees some of them due to them spending their time elsewhere.
She began her business once happening upon an old Temeo in Duhla, the Temeo grounds. She loved the creatures in wild, and they turned out just as charming and experience-rich in captivity. Being a proud owner of a shop, she keeps it in best order she can, though her organizing skills are well known; poor.

The shop:

User Image
The shop is not a large one. The mainroom is about the size of a large livingroom. In the very middle of it is a coffee table, surrounded by one couch, and two armchairs, of which the one closer to the couch is claimed by Vena.
The counter is practically hidden under papers, and is located next to the doorway to the coffee room. The mainroom has total of three windows, two opening to the street on the front, one to the small backyard. There are also two bookshelves on the left side of the room, and a potted plant on the other side of the doorway to the coffee room.
The coffee room certainly doesn't have much space, containing a few counters, a coffeemaker, and a fridge, as well as stairs to the attic; home of a few pixies.

Vena
Vena
Hair's good, all's good.

User Image "I don't care what you say, I'm not metrosexual."

Gender: Male
Color: Rainy
Stage: Adult
Date of Birth: 14th of July -04
Orientation: Straight

Preferred:
cookies.
Rain
Lazy days.
Hn, Karo. *mutter*

Preferably not:
Tomatoes. Please spare me.
Uber-feminism-Karo. *glare*

Persona:
Vena's the moodswinger of the bunch, hopping emotions almost daily. Quite unpredictable because of his swift changes in mood largely depending on the weather. Usually happy, but like Karo, tends to make more racket about being upset. Enjoys company greatly and constantly flaunts being the eldest of Temeos. The ones in captivity, at least. He's kind and caring and has a high sense of responsibility, holding no bias towards any of his kin.

Mate:
Lumi

Family:

Nuikuru: I suppose you can count her as family by now, as she hangs around at the shop and Karo's place when not running errands and checking on her pack.
Vali, Sade, Sophie: My little kits-- that are growing up too fast! I'm so proud of my wonderful offspring.

Friends:

Hielo:'s got a bit of an attitude, such an adventurer. Heh, she turned out to be a pretty gal, have to say. But my, she was a handful when she was a kid, and I'm not even related or anything!
Lumi: I completely and utterly love mah little Lumimuffin. <3
Rag: I found Rag wandering on the streets and brought him to the Shop. I am very glad to have this squirt under a proper roof... and he's still a little pipsqueak to me.
Loopy: You can never know with Loopy, he will surprise you.

Sure I'm friends with all Temeos, no enemies or hard feelings. :3

Orientation: Straight

Preferred:

Gossips
Home renovation

Preferably not:
Kaie when she's abusing me...

Persona:
Joshua is really not half bad, he just comes off a little awkward because of his social ineptness. He used to work, like all the Biped Temeos in the area, as a servant for a host family. The environment was perhaps not the most healthiest to grow up in, as Temeos were under strict orders and failing to obey would often result in violent punishments.
They were used to it, though.
They didn't know any better.

Nuikuru
Don't touch the tail.

"You're just upset because I'm owning your sorry a**."
User Image

Gender: Female
Color: Dark mahogany and light brown
Stage: Adult
Date of Birth: Classified
Items: none
Magic: Regeneration and Healing, Teleportation and an offensive Shockwave attack.

Preferred:
Silence.
Thick forests.
Some orchestral music Karo has.

Preferably not:
Vena, but I have to hang out with him. *sigh*
Fooling around.
Most music, ahh, the racket!

Persona:
Nuikuru is quite unpredictable in captivity, otherwise a clear leader. She has her values and she keeps to them. She demands respect, if she's getting none you're going to be in trouble. She's not afraid to cause injury, but prevents doing lethal damage. Watch out though, she's stubborn too.

Family:
The Oka pack: Meera, Tyven, Pujo and Kenta. They are my family, though small and not related by blood. We once were a large community of Temeos alike, but alas, our breeding grounds have become ruined along the time.
Karo: is the very first human I've had contact to. Eh, she's fine, a well behaved young girl, leader type, definitely. Though she could use her time a bit better. Pfft, young love.
Vena: He's troublesome, but I guess I can bear his existance. He's my tutor and brother alike in this world outside Duhla. All is so confusing, Vena too.

Acquaintances:

Lumi: I've found the majority of captive Temeos lack manners and self restrain. I don't understand how does Vena stand this rude female.
Anika: First of the newborn wild kits I've met. Seems like a curious little child-- but aren't they all?
Quickening: From the Namasi household. I just bumped into her, or moreso the other way around.
Momiji: From the Bunny household. A polite, short spoken male. He seems strong-- surely a good trait.
Dark and Light: Twins from the Kaju household. Both sport the advantage of wings, and seem to get along with the other Wilds I know.
Kasha: A new, timid kit. Great potential.
Hotaru: A talkative kit from the Sera household. I've heard of her success in the art of hunting, I'm hoping she'll develop her skills.

She enjoys company and the sound of her anklets clinking together, it makes her happy.

Mate:
none

Family:

Vena: Daddy will always ruffle my hair up when I'm working on Karo's papers. Way to mess my thoughts, old man!
Lumi: Mommy is so nice and warm and kind-- and anthro! Wow, when did that happen? -dizzy-
Vali, Sophie: Sophie gets annoyed easily, I don't get what's her problem? Vali doesn't drop by often, but I hope he's having a good time, too.

Friends:

Roscoe: He's silly and kind, he introduced me to his mate (maybe?) Moon the other day. It was fun!
Moon: She scared me at first, I've never seen anyone as bouncy and hyped up!

She's extremely playful and is definitely in tune with her body-- definitely not clueless like those originally a quad. She'll happily take advantage of this cluelessness, and is a shameless flirt.
Deep down, though, Kaie is just afraid of winding up alone.

Mate:
Primarily Hiroshi... |D

Family:

No information on blood relatives.
Karo: This chick found me the other day. She was happy to take me in, and wow, this is the first time I've seen more anthro Temeos!

Hiroshi: Ooohh, babe! I've not met anyone quite as gorgeous and sweet as Hiro. I could just eat 'im right up-- too bad Karo won't let me. You just wait, Karo, you can't watch me all the time. >3

1. First days in the new world.

"Got it, Karo. I am not allowed to attack anyone who is within the shop's boundaries, I may not harrass Vena for he has the most authority as a Temeo in the shop and I may not wreck anything that is unfamiliar."
Nuikuru nodded deeply in understanding after the long talk with Karo. She had shown around the shop, what to touch and what to leave alone, where the Temeos usually were and how to behave in the shop. Vena had gotten bored with listening long ago, and was now snoozing peacefully on top of the small fridge.
The wild Alpha female looked around curiously. She was dying to explore the shop on her own, find her own places and learn about the visitors by their scent. Tuffed ears perked up as Karo offered a bow her head down to her, and she bowed her head in return. This was a common way to greet and say good bye, a gesture Vena didn't appreciate any. Not that the authorized male respected any good manners, the brick.
With a flick of her tails the female had poofed out of sight in a small cloud of smoke, and appeared again on the attic. She looked around interestedly, this seemed like a good place to dwell in. She snorted at a flicker of light, a pixie. She had seen plenty of those, and had her own in Duhla.
"Get away from me, bugger. You're obviously Vena's pixie, I can see it from here without even knowing what you look like."
She muttered while roaming around the attic. She pawed at the boxes, peeking in a few. Some old plates and cups, some books, a few pieces of cloth. Nothing fairly interesting. What was it with people hoarding up stuff they wouldn't use anyway.
A glint of silver caught her eye as she was ruffling through the boxes covered in sheets. She squinted her eyes and crept closer interestedly, prodding at the strange little object of silver hue. It appeared to be a ball of somekind.
"Well aint that a treasure right there."
She grinned with contentment. As humans hoarded useless junk, most wild Temeos gathered not only information, but a fine amount of loot. She rolled the ball to her jaws and carried it to the furthest corner from the door. After searching for an empty box, she had soon gathered a small amount of things. A small piece of cloth that now decorated the humble box, a slightly cracked mirror that also stood on the box, and a candlestick with a small candle on it. The ball was well hidden under the turned over box. Once content with her little corner, she took a few of the sheet and fluttered up to the rafters, and after a moment of busy working with the ropes she had dragged up, she had set herself a private area.
Content with her creation, she vanished and reappeared in the shop again, curling up under the coffee table and snoozing to a peaceful sleep.

2. Break a leg.

Nuikuru pawed around the front porch of the two story house, staring off to the horizon. She had been doing so for days, awaiting her pixie to bring her a word from home. She patrolled, unwilling to leave her spot at any cost. At times one of the pets brought her food and water, a blanket for the night, and assuring words that she could come inside. The weather was by far no longer as summery as it used to. The cold nights kept the strong female awake, as the breeze did during the days.
She looked fairly unhappy that day, snorted as food was brought to her, didn't accept her water and snarled at any mentioning of coming to the house. She was an alpha female, she had lived all her life outside, she knew how to take care of herself.
Vena stared at the female idly, his tails flicking back and forth. He felt a bit sorry for her, he had to admit it to himself, yet at the same time he saw her more foolish than ever. With a snort he dropped down from the windowsill, making his way out of the door.
Nuikuru shot a glare at him the second he came outside, said nothing and looked off to the horizon. "I don't need you here." She said coldly, not moving from her spot. Only her ear twitched in irritation as Vena didn't leave. "Honestly, you'll go nuts if you don't give up. They're not sending you a word, things are fine."
Vena received a glare, but didn't lower his head. The females boastfulness was currently pissing him off. "They will send me a word, those were my orders." Nuikuru hissed between her teeth, now looking at Vena with a challenging snarl.
User Image "They're late, Nuikuru. They're horribly late, perhaps they don't see a need to-"
"Silence! If I give an order, it's followed. The pack does not do decisions without me. It's a matter of respect, Vena. It's the thing about being a good leader." Nuikuru looked at him with her eyes narrowed dangerously, but the male didn't understand to back down.
"Ever thought you may not be a good leader!?" Vena yelled back into her face, a vein throbbing on his temple. Blood was running hot through him as he looked at her.
"I am a good leader! Who are you to judge!? I am a good leader and I'm respected!" Nuikuru protested loudly, her sharp fangs exposed in an open threat.
"Well I don't see your pixie rushing news to you, do you?" Vena hissed back. "They're not following your orders."
"They respect my orders. A lousy leader like you has no respect, and no loyalty. They're a failure. A failure, you hear me!" Nuikuru screamed back at him, her wings spread and her claws extented in anger. Vena didn't still realize to back down.
"Well, hate to break the news to you, Nuiks. But you're a failure then."
Everything froze. Nuikuru tensed visibly, her forepaws twitching as she stared at Vena in horrendous rage. Vena started to realize both what he had just done, as well as that he could not escape her wrath in any way possible. He felt her jaws grasp onto his throat, toss him on the ground on his back so that all air escaped his lungs. While he was trying to gasp for breath Nuikuru pinned him down. She isolated his forepaw in a inconvenient position and Vena froze in terror.
"Nui-Nuikuru.. No, no, please no.."
Without mercy Nuikuru slammed her weight on the foreleg, and the air was filled with a pained howl.
It was over in a second, Nuikuru loomed over Vena, panting, enraged, and not showing one sign of regret. Vena on the other hand, stared at his bent leg in agony, whimpering and squeezing his eyes shut as tears fell down his furry cheek.
"I.. Am.. NOT.. a failure..." The femme hissed, storming inside.

Needless to say, Karo was hugely upset of the incident, Vena's leg was healed back to normal the very same day by Nuikuru, but the two would never look at each other the same way.
Nuikuru received several hours of lecturing from Karo, as well as a warning. Two more and Karo could pull the deal back with her, and allow her pack to wither and die without her help.

3. But it has six wings!

Nuikuru was perched on the front porch, her expression stern and her form unmoving. The last time she'd sat there, the news never came, and she ended up breaking Vena's leg. This time, Vena's pixie, Kini sat on the female's head, peering off into the horizon, giving a soft chitter every now and then.
"I know," Nuikuru said quietly.

Hours passed and the two sat on the porch, staring off to the horizon. Vena emerged, carefully placing himself beside the two. While Nuikuru didn't pay him too much attention, the pixie chirped happily and fluttered over to him, landing on his snout.
"Hi, waiting for the news again?" He asked, though didn't point his question to neither the pixie nor the other Temeo. Kini chirped and batted at Vena's forelock, cooing.

Another fifteen minutes passed in silence before Nuikuru stood up. Vena perked his head, almost shaking the little pixie out of his hair. Kini chirped, his tone seemingly insulted.
"About time," Nuikuru sighed, and soon enough, a dot of light emerged from the darkening forest edge. It moved up to the porch at a confident speed and stopped abruptly, hovering above Nuikuru's head.
A Lightbringer, just like Vena's.
Only it had two pairs of wings. Normally Lightbringers had four wings, but this one had a total of six.
"Hello, Valo," Nuikuru said and the strange pixie settled down on her snout. "If you'll excuse me," the female continued, padding off the porch and continuing toward the forest.

Kini chittered and cooed.
"But it has six wings," Vena snorted at the day-dreaming pixie. "What a strange pair."

4. This our town of Halloween

"Sooo, what'cha doing, exactly?" Vena questioned as Karo seemed to be tinkering with some candy wrapping. The elf-girl swirled around in her swivel chair, grinned widely and leaned down to be the male Temeo's height.
"Izzah secret~" She cooed, and if Vena would've had to name an animal she resembled at that point, he'd said Cheshire Cat for sure. The girl turned back to her work, refusing to answer any more What, what secrets or lemme sees. Humphing, Vena stuck his tongue out at Karo and marched out of her room. He might just as well go hang out at the shop if she was going to be such a killjoy.

---

The rain colored Temeo snorted to himself as he walked down along the busy streets filled with shops of all kinds. Pastries, hats, dolls, dogs, pixies, cats, birds, anthros, witches and most bizarre looking creatures, they had it all. His tails flicked side to side as he wandered towards the shop he called home.
Halloween was nearing, and it sure showed. There were gruesome looking creatures around every corner, bats and pumpkins and cobwebs decorated most shops, and people were dressed up in Halloween attire-- not that it parted too much of what people usually wore, anyway.

As he entered the currently empty shop-- it was nearing the night and since Karo was home, there wasn't anything going on, what with the door being locked and so forth. Nuikuru appeared in a puff of smoke, seemingly puzzled.

"Do explain," the larger female started in a lazy drawl, as if she wasn't all that interested after all.
"What's with the kaboolah going on all the time, it seems to be getting more frantic by the hour."

Vena blinked, then shrugged. "It's Halloween, a holiday to celebrate the dead spirits and some such. People go from door to door asking for candy and other treats-- if they get none, they'll prank you."
The Wild blinked in turn. "Ah," she said after a moment of consideration.
"Sounds like fun."

Vena offered a small smile at Nuikuru. It was rare of her to think that anything in the domesticated world was fun.
"Yeah. Wanna hit the shops and see if there's any Halloween treats for sale?"
Nuikuru's face lit up and she nodded with enthusiasm that seemed strange to Vena.
"Sure," Nuikuru piped, and the two exited the shop after raiding Karo's jar of change.

5. Father Material

"Soooo?"
Vena looked up at Karo with mild interest, knowing full well what she wanted. He huffed, rolling over in his chair to block the annoying, nosy little brat out-- of course, Karo was neither little nor a brat, towering so much above the Temeo, and being much older, too.
"Jeez, what's the matter with you, you sick and twisted individual," the male muttered, his tails flicking irritably. His lovelife with Lumi was not a concern of his "mother".

"Babies?" Karo exclaimed, waving her arms around wildly. "Are we gonna get babies, are we preggers? Come on!"
Vena looked over his shoulder at the excited girl, frowning and sticking his tongue out.
"No, WE are not having babies."
"Don't be wiseassery on me, mister." Karo warned, tugging at his tails impatiently.

Blushing under his fur, Vena sighed, looking back at Karo again.
"YES, I'VE SUCCESFULLY GOT LUMI PREGGERS, ARE YOU SATISFIED YET?" He yelled, making sure his business was everyone's business now. He stared sternly at Karo. This was so embarrassing.
"Yay!" Karo cheered in return, though, unable to keep herself from it, leaned a bit closer. If there was a sore spot, poke it.
"So, how was it?"

Vena groaned, got up and marched off with a roll of his eyes.
"You are the worst person, ever!"

6. How're you feeling?

Karo poked Vena idly on the cheek as the male seemed to doze off again. Supposedly changing shape and size was a little exhausting. The newly anthromorphised Temeo groaned and opened his eyes, peering up at his bothersome owner.
"What is is again?"
"Just checking on you. I know you're sleepy and all, but you really gotta be awake more so I can monitor on how you cope with the change."
"I'm coping by wanting to sleep, and my head aches."
"And you're a bit grumpier than usual, it's even raining right now, so you should be chipper like a beaver in a fresh pine forest." Karo noted, taking out her notebook and writing it down. There were various scribbles in her notebook from having been studying Vena ever since she had finally found the correct compound to make the sleeping genes react and prompt the change.
"Never mind me. I heard Elros gave Lumi up for experiment, too. How's she?"
The girl shrugged in reply, leaning over with a thermometer and promptly taking Vena's temperature from within his ear. Vena grunted and wrinkled his nose up. It was surprising how little the shape of their head changed, really.
"She should be just fine, I gave her back over to Elros to monitor and I'll be running some tests on her later. But I'm assuming she'll be feeling similar, if not identical to you. Then again, she didn't have to drink those extra potions. I'm really sorry about that coffing out smoke stuff."

Vena merely nodded in reply, turning onto his side on the couch and resting his head against the decorative pillows. There was a long silence between the two, only disturbed by the distant cheers of the newly matured kits playing in the snow.
"Karo?"
"Mmhm?"
"I was wondering."
A pause.
"About what?"
"Infertility."
Karo sighed, patting Vena's shoulder lightly, giving him an apologetic smile.
"I don't know yet, Vena. At the moment it strongly looks like you won't be able to have offspring at this stage. But I'll look into it more thoroughly when you and Lumi recover from the change. I could be wrong."
Vena nodded again, and this time as the silence fell, it also remained. Eventually the Temeo fell asleep and Karo felt it more merciful to let him rest for now.

7. This feeling inside me.

"Karo, I feel kinda weird," Vena complained, leaning on the door frame to the girl's ever so messy room, full with empty containers, some of the earlier models as well as the new, papers scattered everywhere, owner files, Temeo files, anthro study, growth stun (surprisingly, it didn't say anything about coffee), shopping list, last year's homework, a few candy wrappers..
"Man, you should clean up around here, even my room doesn't look this bad."
"Yeah yeah, later," Karo replied, not looking up from her papers. "What is it?"
The Temeo fidgeted a bit, rubbing his neck uneasily.
"It's kinda personal."
Karo glanced up at him, rolling her eyes and putting the paper away. "I can't help you unless you tell me, you know."
Vena sighed, motioning vaguely down at his body.
"Jeez, I thought we went over how to pee already," Karo groaned, receiving a pout from Vena.
"No, it's not that," he croaked. "It's just.. I.. I don't get it, it's.. um."
Karo blinked, giving her embarrassed friend a once over and blinking again. Oh. Right.
"Oh, you don't have to worry about that. I forgot all about it, it might feel a bit unnatural to you since you're not used to it. It's a humane trait, you'll get used to it." She grinned a bit. Of course, for the most part Temeos were asexual, since there was no need for mating unless you wanted to have offspring, considering their fertility rate. She had completely ignored the fact that they acquired a whole lot of new features upon anthrofication.
"B-but.. It's not gonna stay like this, right?"
Karo could hardly hold back a chuckle and she tried her best to look understanding.
"Nah, it should go away if you don't think about it."
Nodding, the male still lingered at the doorway, and Karo rolled her eyes a little. Some time for him to be bashful.
"Was there something else?"
"This feeling is driving me nuts." Vena groaned, looking helplessly at Karo. How on earth did humans ever manage to live with it. His ears drooped as Karo chuckled this time, and he pouted. This was not a laughing matter!
"You'll figure it out, trust me. Let's see, I should have.. ah, here it is. My friends gave it to me as a joke, you should find a remedy here," Karo produced an untouched volume of Cosmopolitan from under her piles and piles of papers, grinning at Vena as he blinked. "Yeah, I know, it's trash. But you should find a helpful tip or two."
"Right. Thanks." Vena muttered, flipping the pages and turning to leave. Freezing mid-step, he glanced back at Karo.
"Does this happen often?"
Karo smiled, shrugging a bit and turning back to her papers again. "From time to time.

8. Forget inside me, what the hell is inside you?

Vena sat on his bed, frowning down to his clawed toes. Lumi had been acting weird lately, on top of her constant nausea. Suppose feeling sick all the time makes anyone throw a tantrum, but throw a tantrum, revert right back, and then throw a cry-y fit just to roll back to being happy in no time?
It was awfully concerning.
They had been-- ahh, how to say -- active. But anthros weren't supposed to breed. Anthros didn't. They couldn't. Their physique no longer allowed it.

It wasn't possible.

The male Temeo flopped over and now stared up at his ceiling. So many times he'd stared up at it, and it wouldn't budge. It gave him no answer, no reassurance, not even a taunting smirk like Kaie would've.

Right.

Kaie.

Vena leaped up from the bed so fast he felt dizzy for a moment. Once regaining his balance, he trudged out of his room, up the hall (his room was first on the right) and knocked on the third door.

"Yes?" Came a questioning answer, and Vena entered.

"Kaie, can I speak with you for a second? About your past." Vena felt his fur bristle under the piercing gaze of Kaie's mismatched eyes.

"What of it?" She asked, suddenly looking smug. She always did that, like she knew exactly what he'd come for, and had no intention of letting him have what he wanted to know.

"How did your mother look?"
Vena's tension grew. One simple answer, it was all he needed.

Kaie gave him a calculative look, then smiled. "She was pretty."

Like getting hit in the stomach with a shovel. A snow shovel.
"No, Kaie, I mean her physique. How did she look?"

"Are we going to talk dirty about my ma'? You know, that's kinda disturbing, even for me." Kaie drew on a mock disgusted look. She toyed with Vena, she always did. Taunting and teasing.

"No," the male replied sternly. He was so anxious his stomach hurt. "Was she.. biped?"

That smirk. Right now, Vena would've rather stared at his ceiling than bear seeing that toothy, self-content smile spread across the demoness Temeo's pretty little face.

"Of course she was."

"Thank you," Vena choked, hardly meaning it as he turned and exited the room. He definitely wasn't feeling better.

They were.. pregnant again?

9. Clink clink clink

Sade was happily prancing around the house, putting things back to their places and organizing papers into neat piles in their respective folders. She cooed happily at some pictures of new arrivals, sitting back on her haunches to flip through the files.

Three new bottles to Willow and Collins. Cute ones, too.
Mori and Kumori sure have been keeping busy.
The female chuckled softly to herself, tails flicking as she browsed through the papers. Content with herself, she put them away soon, starting to snoop through a huge pile of papers.

Cookie recipe.
Study on vaporization and potential catalysts for faster vaporization time.
Another cookie recipe.. looks potentially hazardous.
Anthro gene and activating the transformation study, study on recovery time and ability to adjust to the changes, physical conditions, infertility rate, pregnancy, psychological impact study--
wait wait!

Sade flipped back a couple of pages, having sorted the papers neatly in the Anthromorphism folder.
And she set herself up for a disappointment.

All that the paper labeled as Pregnancy had were a few footnotes and a reference to the 100% infertility rate.
Curiously enough, Karo had taken Kaie to see a doctor, and it appeared that anthro Temeos had everything that was needed, including egg series connected to the womb by egg tubes. But it also appeared that there were no more shells in the barrel.

"Ah well," the female sighed, putting the paper away.
She'd wait. She wanted to have kits before joining the rest of her family and going bipedal.

10. Hey Sophie

Sophie was sitting in one of the rundown but perfectly comfortable armchairs in the shop's main area, trying her hardest to read a book she'd gotten from Kaie earlier-- the demoness female's motives for gifting her such a precious book were questionable, as were the contents of the particular book.
Regardless, Sophie wasn't very efficient with her reading yet, so the book did very little harm to her innocent little mind, regardless of leaving very little guesswork on the not-quite-pg13 parts.
The door's bell gave a small clink as someone entered, and at this hour, it was likely to be one of Karo's Temeos. Raising her eyes from the book, Sophie was met with a pair of mismatched eyes.
"Hi Kaie," she smiled, giving a small smile. "I was just reading the book you gave me."

Kaie seemed happy with that, smiling smugly as she sat herself on the couch.
"That's nice," she purred. "I was hoping to find you here, though."
"Hm? Did you need me for something?"
"Actually I have a question for you. Out of sheer curiosity of course."
"Sure, ask away," Sophie put the book on her lap, smiling at Kaie.

Kaie smiled back and leaned closer to Sophie, giving her a quick once over. "You know, I've noticed you like hanging out with Raine," she started in a lazy tone. Sophie looked a little confused.
Kaie in turn drew on a bit of a blank expression.
"C'mon. Girltalk with me. You don't happen to fancy to get into those delightfully low-ridin' pants of his?"
"... Well, no, I don't think they'd look very good on me?"
Kaie sighed.
"Do you fancy 'im, you big doofus?"
Sophie still looked a little confused. Well, he was a nice guy, so she did like his company. And his markings were really pretty.
Kaie, tired of waiting, snatched the book and flipped through the pages, then handing it back to Sophie with her finger marking the page.
"A'ight. Read this and think of him, let's see if you catch my drift."

And Sophie read, albeit very slowly, turning awfully red under her fur. Well, she hadn't really thought about.. that.. or.. the other.
This thought would probably haunt her forever.

Kaie, looking triumphant, leaned into the couch.
"Well?"
"I.. uh."
"You like him, don't you?"
"Well, of course, he's such a nice guy."
"Next time you see him you'll find out if you like-like 'im. That was all I wanted to ask, now I gotta jet." Kaie smirked, patting the flustered girl on the cheek before making her exit.

Sophie blinked, chose to put the book away, and went to make herself a cup of tea instead.

...

she'd probably read more later.
