User ImageThe night was beautiful! Shaggy brown locks of what appeared to be a mane blew back gracefully in the wind as the beast soared through the nightime sky. Every now and then he'd give a beat of his large grey wings to keep himself aloft and that soft whoosh of feathers was all that could be heard. Millions of stars dotted the broad, ink-black sky and sparkled like thousands of jewels. Entei's radiant brown eyes took in all of it as his figure dipped and then rose in a few graceful movements. He loved flying at night. The peaceful darkness was so comforting to him. He was glad that autumn's breath had not yet reached the land below them.

He would have to enjoy summer while it lasted. The mighty beast inhaled deeply, savoring the rich taste of the air. A wonderful night it was! He folded his wings a bit causing his body to tilt and spiral downwards. His large paws now skimmed the tree tops causing a loud hissing sound to fill the air. Soon his wings had pressed themselves to his body and he was no longer in the air. With the speed that a normal Seijin usually didn't possess he leapt from tree top to tree top, only a brown and grey blur among a canvas of black. Only when his breath was labored did he consider stopping. His nightly treks were part of a routine he did every night.

His pace grew slower until finally he stopped, a beast atop one of the taller trees in the forest. He peered down into a clearing and smiled a bit. With a great heave he was gliding down to said clearing, his figure landing nimbly on the grass. The grey cloud on his back billowed gently in a breeze that happened to pass through. A symphony of crickets began to sing to him and he hummed an old song he knew to himself. He peered around, his eyes searching for something. Then he was off, collecting branches that had fallen and lay limp on the ground. Soon he had gathered a sufficient pile right in the center of the clearing. He had used his claws to gouge out the earth underneath the pile, the last thing he wanted to do was start a forest fire. Examining his pile he nodded in satisfaction, his humming stopping. He leaned forewards a bit so the pile was eye level with him.He inhaled softly and then something interesting happened. The moment he exhaled a small, controlled stream of fire sprang from his lips. It licked at the wood and made a small blaze in a matter of moments. Smoke curled from Entei's mouth and he amused himself by blowing a series of smoke rings into the air. You could tell he was no ordinary Shikokuyen. He let a yawn roll of his muzzle, his kind eyes peering into the flames in a dream manner.
