Don was waiting in the living room dressed casually with keys in hand and shoes on ready to go. He was awaiting Kaiyumi to bring Iah over, he was so grateful that the boy was willing to baby sit Tanner for him, His birthday was next weekend and seeing as his freinds were all busy, and he wanted to spend his actual birthday with Tanner his freinds invited him out tonight. "I hope that they were able to follow the directions alright." Don mused to himself lifting the curtains aside to peer outside. It was already night fall, and about seven o'clock, they should be there any minute. Kaiyumi had agreed to drive Iah there and Don would drive him home upon his return that night.
Tanner was watching Don intently. It was the first time that he would be home without Don and wasn't sure exactly what he meant when he said he was going out with his freinds. However Don had told him that Iah was coming over and Tanner was excited about that.

"Kai, we're not going to be late. Besides, if your panicking results in us driving into a tree, -then- we'll be late."
Iah frowned at his guardian, giving a little shake of his head. The two of them were only seconds from arriving at Don's home and yet, for some odd reason, Kaiyumi seemed to get it in her head that unless she drove faster, they'd be late.
Hearing Iah speak, the young woman sighed, before slowing the car. "I know I know, I'm sorry Iah. I just don't want you to be late to your babysitting job, and Don to be late to his outing." As she spoke, she made a turn, stopping in front of Don's house.
"Well, we're not late right now, so it's fine." Grinning, Iah got out of the car, before waving to Kaiyumi. "Drive safely now, Kai." He nodded, before starting towards the door and ringing the doorbell.

Don snapped back to reality from his thought process when he heard the doorbell ring. He strode over to the door and opened it. "Evening Iah, how's it going?" He asked politely giving the boy a smile while stepping aside to let him in.
Tanner looked over the back of the couch peering at Don and Iah. He was happy to see Iah but still remained his shy self and watched them converse. The boys reasoning was perhaps Iah did not want to see him, or maybe he was not in a good mood. The normal thoughts of a shy child.

Grinning at Don, he gave a little bow of his head. "Nice to see you again, Mr. Piano. I've been well, and you?" Iah stepped into the house, taking a glance around until finally, he saw Tanner peering over the back of the couch.
Smiling cheerfully, he moved towards the young boy, leaning over to face him. "Hey there, Tanner! How've you been?" This was going to be a fun night - he just knew it. Spending it playing with Tanner would be a lot more fun then spending it at home, and Tanner was a good kid. Hopefully everything would go down smoothly.

"Nice to see you again too Iah, I've been doing good." Don said with a smile closing the door behind Iah. "The number for my cell and for the place I'm going to be is on the fridge call me if you have any problems, there's dinner on the stove for both of you and ice cream in the freezer for dessert. Feel free to help yourself to anything. Uhhm," Don paused thinking of what else he had to tell him, "Oh, there are movies under the TV if you guys wanna watche something, and if you wouldn't mind changing Tanner into his pajamas in a couple hours that would be great. He doesn't need to be in bed, but he might fall asleep anyhow." Don said with a chuckle walking over to them. "Have any questions Iah?"
"Hewwo." Tanner said to Iah still looking at him half his face hidden by the back of the couch, the boy was being shy again but from the wagging of his tails he seemed to be happy to see Iah.

Listening to Don, Iah rested a hand on Tanner's head with a friendly grin, before shaking his head at Don. "No questions, Mr. Piano. I think I got everythingdown pat. Thanks for taking the time to explain everything to me." He paused, to look over at Tanner, "I think we'll have a fun evening, right Tanner?"
"Kaiyumi also told me why you were asking me to babysit Tanner today. Happy early birthday, Mr. Piano, and I hope you have fun tonight!"

"Well thank you Iah, and thanks again for babysitting. It is really a huge help." Don said with a smile. Iah was such a polite and kind boy, he had nothing to worry about.
Tanner nodded at Iah "Uh-huh." He said still however being shy.
"Well I should really be on my way, I'll probably be back around eleven to midnight, thanks again Iah." Don said going over and picking Tanner up to give him a hug and then a kiss on the cheek. "Now you be a good boy Tanner, and listen to Iah." Don said to him before giving him another big hug reluctant to leave him. "Love you buddy." Don said setting him back on the couch.
"Wuv you too daddy." Tanner said watching as Don walked towards the door.
"Bye Iah, bye Tanner." Don said as he opened the door and headed out.

"You're welcome, Mr. Piano. Glad I could help, and it's no trouble at all." Smiling, he took a step away from the couch as Don went to hug his son. There was a lot of love between the father and son, he could see. And it just wasn't the 'love you's that they exchanged either.
As Don walked towards the door, the boy rose a hand, "Bye, Mr. Piano. Have fun!" As the door shut to a close, he turned back to Tanner, smiling as the leaned forward again. "Whatcha wanna do first then, Tanner? Are you hungry yet, or do you want to play first?"

Tanner looked a little sheepish at being asked what he wanted to do, " I am hungwy." He replied to Iah's question, not a big suprise. Tanner continued to watch Iah and while he didn't get off the couch yet he would move alongside the edge of the couch if Iah were to move away.

Chuckling, Iah glanced towards the kitchen. "Well, are you hungry enough to eat dinner, or would you rather just have a snack for now?" As he spoke, he slowly moved towards the kitchen, his attention half of his destination, but mostly focused on the boy. Don had said that dinner was on the stove, right? And that he could help himself to anything, so he assumed that meant he was free to prepare a snack for Tanner if he wanted it.

Tanner moved along the couch until Iah had moved away from it and then the boy sat down and slid off of the couch to follow after him. He followed Iah around like a lost puppy, thumb in mouth and big brown eyes trained on the much taller boy. Once they were in the kitchen Tanner pointed at a couple of pots on the stove insinuating the dinner.

Strolling into the kitchen, Iah halted as he took a look around. So the food was on the stove, right? He followed Tanner's pointing, grinning at the little boy as he walked up towards the pots. "Thanks, Tanner." So, what was for dinner then? He removed the lids to the pot, all while thinking of what they'd need. Utensils obviously, bowls...

As soon as Iah lifted the lids a mouth watering aroma would arise from the concoctions. One pot held spagetti with home made pasta sauce, another one held cannonolis and the last pot had hand made raviolis. Don had really gone all out for the boys tonight.
Tanner waited patiently at Iah's side looking up at him thumb still in his mouth. He watched and waited, curious to Iah's mannerisms.

Iah's eyes brows shot up as he lifted the lids. He glanced from one pot, to the other, gaping really. 'Wow,' He thought, 'Mr. Piano really went through a lot of work.' He had expected something...simpler. Smiling brightly, he could only give a bewildered shake of his head. Looked like he'd have to thank Don later on.
"So Tanner, where are your bowls, and utensils?" He grinned at the boy, before eying the drawers and cabnets. He had an idea where they -might- be, but it would be awfully rude and time consuming to go through everything, wouldn't it?

Tanner went over to a drawer and reached up to open it up for Iah then wadled over to a cabinet and pointed up at it. The boy didn't talk much, but it wasn't the kind of silence that made you uneasy, it was the cute kind that only a few kids could pull off.
