Hi All, Glitchy, glitchy guilds saw me lose all of my links and memberships, so I've been away trying to sort it all out again. Was having a think over the prophecy again, in conjunction with the first video clip and the latest manga pages. The White eclipse will descend at twilight. Beware the flower of the night. The time is now for flight or fight. - The White Eclipse will descend at twilight -
We clearly saw in the video that the snow was falling, and the ground was indeed white - this appears now to be self explaning.- Beware the Flower of the Night -
It's been theorised in a few of the earlier threads that the flower could be the plants with Edmund and Gambino, or Moira. I've come to believe it's Moira. Because: 1. In the video clip; the voice over clearly says "beware the flower of the night" and moments after, Louie spots Moira by the lake (in the dead of night, with no jumper on - and she doesn't bat an eyelid when he jumps her).
2. In Greek, "Moira" literally means "part" or "portion", which when combined with the following can be taken as "a part in one's life or destiny". The Fates were known as the Moirae or Moerae - the personification/s of destiny who even the Gods feared. In Homers 'Illiad, the Moirae was one being - who, according to H.J Rose (author of Handbook of Greek Mythology) was the daughter of Nyx - NIGHT .... the culmination of Night blossoming (excuse the Victorian-ism) ... the Flower of Night.-The time is now for flight or fight.-
This is interesting in the way it is penned down. The traditional form of this sentance is "fight or flight" - this is the other way round; perhaps suggesting Louie's true alliegance - that is to his brother (the flight from his family instead of bringing the fight to Ian) - as shown in the latest manga.Well, these are just my random musings - what does everyone else think?

I watched part 1 again recently and right before the first snowflake Louie catches is a brief white flash. It's almost unnoticeable, but I'm pretty sure it happened. I'm hoping that the white eclipse will be completely explained later. We know it happened, but why did it happen?
I'm almost sure the flower is Moira as well. I doubt Louie needs to beware of her because she is evil or anything. I think she's a distraction from what he should be doing/is meant to do. All that stuff about the fates is awesome, but I don't think Gaia could have planned this far ahead when they made Moira originally. D;
I never thought of Flight or Fight as backwards before, but now that you mention it, I think you're right. If you rewrite 'flight or fight' as 'flight- or fight?' it's like an afterthought. An unexpected turn, maybe a last bit of hope? I still think it refers to Louie running from his morale obligations (flight) and following his father, or standing up to Vlad (fight) and protecting Gaia and Moira perhaps. Maybe Louie needs to beware of Moira because his love of her will make him feel a need to follow his father to protect her, even though he knows he should stop his father's evil. Unfortunately, his father will hurt/kill/something Moira if Louie ever backsasses him. =O

i'm beginning to see that it's not a choice being provided with the last line. He has to go full vampire no matter what.
Also - what if fighting doesn't refer to actual fighting, but an internal struggle?

Wolfram Lee Ysud i'm beginning to see that it's not a choice being provided with the last line. He has to go full vampire no matter what. Also - what if fighting doesn't refer to actual fighting, but an internal struggle? That's kind of what I thought/want.
If it is a real fight, it's too literal an interpretation. There would be no intrigue, no romance.

I still want there to be a fight, but the fight should be around Louie's inner turmoil, not Louie just going to war.
