Naida was having no trouble in her other classes, but stupid Charms was costing her quite the grades. She was still feeling the opposite of confident with all three of the spells. But the beautiful Sunday weather brought her from the common room to the edge of the lake. She propped her textbook up on a rock and placed a quill on the ground beside the stone. "Accio Quill!" She commanded holding her wand straight and felt a rush that was really just the wind pushing back her red hair as the quill came towards her. Still... using magic was something extremely exciting for her.

He was sure it was her, it might've been far - even for his eyes - but such a mass of red hair couldn't of been anyone else. Grimacing, he looked over the edge of the lake again, finally spotting her quite a distance away. Climbing down from the tree he was on, he brushed his clothes and hair before making his way towards her.
He approached swiftly but cautiously and was almost on top of her. The plan was to sneak up on her and tickle her. Only then a thought occured to him that made him stop. What if it was her sister instead? That presented quite a problem and as he tried to figure out how to approach her, he noticed she was practicing spells. Grinning, Gabriel raised his own wand, he was far enough as not to be heard yet. "Accio Quill!" he said as the feather flew straight out of her hand.

Naida turned, "HEYYYYYY!" She yelled, running after the quill. "I need that!" It didn't occur to her to use magic to get it back...

Gabriel put on a look of complete innocence as he hid both the wand and the quill behind his back.
"Whatever do you mean?" he asked her, smiling softly.
"And by the great amount of yelling involved I presume you're Naida right?" He grinned as he said. Kiandra was much calmer and would probably use magic to get it back instead of running after it.

"Aaaaaand, the Slytherin tie?" She had to lift her t-shirt from the musical CATS for it to be noticed, as she was wearing it as a belt. "Now that you've correctly identified me as the evil twin may I have my quill back? If I hadn't done my homework I would have failed that class... I need the practice!"

"That's a funny use for a tie." He pointed out. "And you haven't failed the class, it was the first lesson, relax."
He handed the quill back to her. "I can help you practice if you'd like miss Evil Twin" Gabriel said, even as he moved past her and closer to the textbook to see what page she was on.

"I think I've got Accio down... and the other night I spent the time dropping things on the heads of other first years with Wingardium Leviosa... but it probably needs more practice and I'm totally horrid with allow-allo-allho- that one I can't get... I was lucky that the essay was only on one because I could cover for not knowing this one at all..." She was idly waving her wand as she talked, even illistrated the wingardium leviosa spell with the correct swish and flick although obviously not casting the spell.

"So it's only Alohomora then?" He asked. "Well, you need locks for that. I don't think we can practice that one unless we go breaking into every room there is on Hogwarts." He stopped for a moment thinking.
"It would be fun, but we really shouldn't." He said, half-heartedly. "Are there any other spells you can practice?" Gabriel asked again, as he brushed his hair again with his hand, trying to get a twig out.

Out of her pocket Naida pulled a lock. "Actually, I got a lock that relocks ... so I just use the same lock over and over again. It's a kind of practice lock. Although muggles call it a "pad-lock"" She spun the little dial and played with the attachment. "All I do after I've unlocked it is rehook and lock the thing again. Apparently the spell doesn't actually break the lock, it just... unlocks it." She lay the lock on the rock. "The problem is that I haven't gotten it yet, only Kiandra..."

Gabriel looked over the lock. "It's not that hard really, you only have to make sure you pronounce it right."
He stepped back a little. "Let me see you do it" he said, looking straight at her green eyes. Arms folded in front of him.

"It's the pronunciation I can't get right... my mouth just doesn't want to put those things together." She stood back from the lock and pointed her wand at it. "Allow-ha-morha!" The lock, of course, did nothing.

"No, no. Slower. Try it like this. al-o-ho-mor-ah" Said Gabriel, pronouncing each syllable slowly as to make sure she understood, and looking very ridiculous in the process, although we wasn't aware of that right now.
Then he said the spell again, together with the hand motion pointing at the lock which opened this time.
"See?" He closed it back again like she had shown him. "Try it again."

"Gods! Everyone makes this look so easy! Both you and Kiandra are actually good at this. It's so unfair. I hope I smoke you both in ... something." She sighed. And shot another glare at the lock, as if intimidating it would help her get it open. She firmly planeted her feet in the sod and pointed her wand at the lock again, "A-la-o-ha-more-a-ha" The lock dial spun... but that was it. "I'm going too slow this time, aren't I?" She was so frustrated.

"Yeah, too slow. Try It again" He said, as he sat down beside her. "And don't worry, you'll be sure to do better than me at potions." Gabriel said absently, still looking at the lock as he loosened his tie a bit.

"You already know what you're bad at?" Naida had never considered things like that, "I have no idea what I'm good or bad at... Charms was a real surprise. But I think I have the handle on Divination. I have no idea about Potions..." She took a deep breath. "A-lo-ha-more-ah!" The lock shook violently and spun around back and forth several times, but did not click open. "At least I'm getting closer..." She sighed.
