Blood splattered across an emotionless face as the female houndoom-morph fell to the ground. The mirror image of the houndoom-morph stood above looking down at the lifeless body that laid on the ground. The face began to morph into human male with tan skin, shoulder length light brown hair, and vibrant violet eyes. His shirt was tight black turtle neck shirt with its right sleeve cut off at the shoulder while the right was long and loose with a white flame design at the end. His The pants he wore were long and black that had his knees exposed, but the 'x' like strings kept the top connect to the bottom leggings. A long flap of cloth hung in front of his pant that also was black with the left side border was white that flooded into another white flame design that cascaded to the right. He ran his hand through his hair simply flipping out his phone to take a picture of the body. Once that was done he jumped onto his black motorcycle and drove off.

He slowed down at the top of a hill and felt the vibration from his phone in his pocket. Whipping out his phone placing it at his ear he heard low chuckles, “Job well done, Cain. Did she put up much of a fight?

“No, a simple faint attack took care of her, sir. She never saw me coming, but then again, when does anyone ever know I'm coming?” A smirk tugged on his lips as he got off his bike and leaned on the fence. He took a deep breath while listening intently to the other person, “Cain, I'm glad I picked you up before anyone else could. With you on my side, I will take over the underground fight club.”

“As long as you pay me, I'll always be willing to do what ever dirty job you need me to do.”

“That's what I like about you, Cain. You don't care who or what you kill, you'll do it for a price. You're apathetic; a trait that is very good to have in your case; being what you are. Anyways, I'll reach you when I have your next assignment; as for you money, same place as always. Have a good night, Cain.” He closed his phone placing it back into his pocket. He looked up at the clear night sky and sighed, “I guess this means I'm crashing at her place tonight.”

Cain got onto his motorcycle driving off in the direction of a small town. Parking his motorcycle in the nearby forest behind some bushes. Before walking into the town he transformed into a rapidash-morph. A long horn protruded from his forehead, his hair became flames, and a new flamed-tail flowed behind him. He came up to a small one-story home pulling out a key from under a pot. Simply opening the door and flopping on the couch to catch some shut eye. He would wait 'till the morning to greet the owner; 'till then he wouldn't worry about it.

Sunlight shined into the small apartment room as Tendra opened the window. The Ampharos-morph took a deep breath and released. How nice the air felt today. "Oni, Oni! It looks like a nice day!" Tendra hopped next to Onikai. The Sneasel- morph just sighed and layed his head on the table in the kitchen. "Please, Tendra. My head hurts so don't yell." Onikai lazily reaced for his glass of water. What a night it was. "I'm sorry, Oni. If only Cannon had noticed he put sugar in your dinner." Tendra shot a glare at Cannon. The Crobat-morph looked over his book, frowned, and rolled his eyes. "Tendra, you were the one who handed me the sugar. Why not focus more on what you are doing and less on Onikai?" Tendra started groaning. "But Cannon! I can't! I would DIE!" Tenrda stomped his feat. Cannon picked up his coffe mug and look a sip. "Tendra, stop jumping around! Our room is just too small." Onikai got up and walked over to the couch and layed down. It was going to be a long day...

(( I'll post whenever I find time, but don't feel like you need to wait for me if you're all keeping an order, Ok? (^^)> ))

Sunshine poured in over the wood flooring from the wide open window.
Moving over to the side of the bed, Shentan's feet brushed over the floor, deciding whether or not she was able to stand yet. Shentan took a long yawn and steadily brought herself upward off the bed, causing it to creak again. Stretching her arms into the air she moved herself slowly to the nearby counter sink, where she slothfully filled her black kettle with water. Placing it over a very small oven and setting the oven to HI, she then made her way to her dressure and pulled a long blue sleeved sweater fit to her body over her small under shirt. Then she slipped on her jeans and re-pulled up her hair. Yawning again, she turned towards the now quite hot water and pulled to the side, pouring one cup in a small mug and dipping in a strong tea packet.

"Mmm..." Keevo moaned briefly, stirring awake. Sitting up he looked at Shentan briefly, then staring off for a minute or two.

Shentan poured a second cup seeing that Keevo had just awaken, and placed another pack of tea into it.

Keevo yawned and scratched his head, adjusting his fur. He looked out the window to see the lighting. It was still quite early. A comfortable time for a walk, he thought.

Shentan briskly walked over to Keevo, handing him his cup of tea, "I'm going to see if the owner has any work for me to do."

Keevo took a slow sip of his warm tea.

Shentan took a sip of her own tea and sat on the edge of her bed, "I need to earn some extra to help pay off this months rent. We'll be ok though." She took another warm sip, "Why don't you go get some exercise. It'll be nice to get out."
Shentan sat there for a while as the two drank their tea. She then stood up when she was finished and placed her mug on the counter next to the sink. She then briskly and silently left the room without a gesture, but it made sense to Keevo; he knew she bid him Goodbye.

Keevo remained in his bed, silently holding and gradually sipping at his cup in a doze.

Just down the hall from the apartment of the trio of males, in the same building a second trio were stirring in the early hours of the morning. However, they were nowhere near as loud as those from the other room. One inhabitant still had yet to wake.

"Where is it? Did you find it yet?"

"No, not yet. But I have a guess. Remember where he kept it last time?"

"Aw, he's sleeping on the couch again. He probably locked the door."

"A shot of moonshine says he's got the keys with him."

Two figures, as the owner of the twin voices, cautiously peered about before tip-toeing their way into the tiny living room of the apartment. They gathered before the third; a figure draped in a thick, woolen blanket, lying on his side, scrunched up on the cushions of the couch. Beneath the blanket his arms were crossed stiffly over his chest and stomach so that the long, pointed stingers that ended his wrists were tucked away under his arms. It was a precaution he took against stabbing anything with them in his sleep and the twins knew it well.

They stood over him in silence when suddenly he moaned quietly and turned his head. As they glimpsed his golden-yellow face, they realized it was contorted with the faintest hint of distress. One of the stingers poked out from under the blanket as he shifted slightly.

"Just look at him, the big ol' baby. Probably thought he could catch us if we slipped out through the door again." A silver hand reached over and gently pulled up the blanket to better cover his friend. There was nothing else to warm him between the wool and the bright, bare chest of the Beedrill-morph, for he hadn't felt like donning a shirt the previous night. It was all too much trouble for him and his stingers. "I doubt he got any proper rest on this lumpy piece of furniture."

"Yeah, well...maybe he's not sleeping here because he wanted to catch us," the second morph suggested, watching the face of their sleeping roommate. "We did take his bed after all, air-head. But then he was never comfortable sleeping anyway - no matter where he slept. You know why." The scarlet finger gestured meaningfully at yet another sharp sting that protruded from their friend's lower back right at the base of his spine. It made it nearly impossible to sleep comfortably except on his side or stomach.

A sigh escaped one of the boys. It was hard to tell whom had breathed it since both wore expressions of sympathy and sorrow for their handicapped companion. He lived such a life neither could imagine. However, in their opinion it wasn't an excuse for him or them to miss out on the good things life had to offer.

"We'll bring him back something."

"Good idea. We'll find something he'll like. Maybe from one of those stores across the street."

With a swift motion, one hand reached out in an affectionate gesture to brush the long, black bangs back against the Beedrill-morph's forehead. They were always falling across his eyes. At the same time, another hand expertly snatched the apartment key from under the cushion he lay his head on. He was sleeping so heavily that he hardly even stirred. Not even as someone reached deep into his pocket to fish out the wallet they knew was there. After all, they'd taken it many times before. Once they had successfully retrieved what they needed, the twins backed away. They would disturb him no more than was necessary.

"Hurry, we gotta' get out the window. Before Vena catches us."

"Almost wish she'd come along," one of the brothers commented, glancing almost wistfully over his shoulder at the quiet room as they made their way over to the window. "But then she'd probably wanna watch over Benny. We better go."

"No duh, big-mouth. After you!"

Sliding open the window, the two quickly and efficiently slipped out into the cool open air of the first few daylight hours, spreading their wings to catch the thermals that drifted past the buildings of Shield City.

Cain shot up in pain. Something was crushing his chest. Cain looked down at what is was. The flaming long hair, white tank top, and black shorts. He growled and pushed the thing away from him. The girl sat on her legs pouting at him, but he paid no attention. Cain just ran his hand through his hair and sighed, “How many times do I have to tell you not to do that?”

The girl stared at him and smiled, “Well, how many times do I have to tell you that you should just use the guest room and not the couch?”

Cain rolled his eyes while reaching for the ceiling stretching. He stood up and looked down at the girl, “Talin, listen. I need to leave right now. I just needed a place to crash for the night. I'm not staying for like a week. Sorry.”

“Grr... I should just threaten you, but I'll let it pass this time, if you do something for me.” Talin smirked waiting for Cains' answer, but he just nodded so she continued, “Fine, I just want you to take me with you.”

“Absolutely not. You know what I do for a living would just get you into trouble and you'd get dragged into a very large mess, Talin.” Cain simply stated heading for the door.

“But...” Talin's eyes were in shock and her jaw was slightly opened. When she finally got a hold of herself Cain was gone. She quickly ran upstairs changing her clothes into her black slacks, black shoes, white button down shirt, and her black vest. As she ran out of the house she tied her hair up and went into the forest where she knew Cain would most likely leave his bike. When she finally found him, he was already mounted on its back and in his human form. Talin ran in front of the motorcycle with her arms out, “You leave without me, I'll inform everyone about your job as a mercenary. And you're the one behind all the unexplainable deaths and murders.”

Cain leaned to the right and gave her an annoyed look. He took out a helmet and handed it to her. She smiled and snuggled into his back making him cringe. After Cain shrugged it off he started the engine of his bike and drove off in the direction of Shield city.

"I will sing this little song, as I like to skip along. Oni, I will think of you, it is all I like to do. I will steal you one day, that is what I like to say!" Tendra sat on the couch and rocked side to side as he sang. "Tendra, don't you have anything better to do instead of singing that creepy song?" Cannon rolled his eyes. He pushed his reading glasses into place on his nose. "Cannon, just let him do what he wants." Onikai sighed and rubbed his head. Tendra squeeled and hugged Onikai. Cannon just shrugged and went back to his book. Tendra jumped up and walked into the kitchen area. "Muffins, oh muffins. Why must you taste so good?" Tendra giggled and said in a squeeky voice, "Because we are magical, Tendra! Eat us up!" Tendra picked a muffin up and said, "Why yes, good muffin! I think I shall!" Tendra popped it into his mouth, chewed, swallowed, and picked up another one. "Oni! Want a yummy, magical muffin?" Tendra walked back to the couch, gently lifted Onikai's head, sat down, and gently put Onikai's head on his lap. "Tendra... Fine. I'll have a muffin." Onikai lifted his arm, showing his claw. "No, no, Oni! I shall feed you!" Tendra gently pushed Onikai's arm down, broke off a little piece of muffin, and put it in Onikai's mouth.

Shentan had already made her way down the fleet of stairs and turned the right corner, going into a very small apartment courtyard filled with grass and a few inside trees. Surrounded by building yet also outside, she then continued on a light cement pathway until reaching the front desk, only taking her a minute or two. As she continued moving, her eyes swiftly swept over every inch of the area, looking for the main manager. Once in the front room she lifted the side panel to enter the inside desk, and then made her way into a small back room holding many boxes and random supplied.

"Hmmm..." She made groggily, not very happy that she couldn't seem to find who she was looking for. Then turning another corner she entered into another small pathed courtyard, making her way to the second areas front desk. Once there she noticed it was empty too.
'It's not that early.' She thought silently, 'So where the hell is everyone?' The place was quite empty, almost unnaturally empty.

Uneasily pulling the warm covers off his jeaned lap, Keevo steadily made it to the cold wood floor, then walking over to the counter to dump the remaining hot water in the kettle and to clean out his sisters used cup. He reached to the sealing and stretched his neck from side to side, cracking it as he moved. Then finishing his own cup of tea, he finished any remaining dishes and made his way to a small desk on the edge of the counter. On the surface was paper and a pencil, almost ready for him to make his entrance. Grabbing the pencil he began to scribble down random writing, a note perhaps, and then walked over to his drawr. Pulling it open he looked in dully. He didn't really feel like wearing anything heavy today, but if he was going out he didn't really feel he had a choice. Ruffling his hair into place, he then pulled out a black hoodie and pulled it over his skinny top. Yawning again he then slipped on some shoes and made his way to the balcony. He wasn't sure where he felt like traveling today. He had traveled so many places in the city that it felt so common to him these days. Maybe he could travel out of the city for once? No, that would really be pushing it. He didn't know. He was still too tired to think.

Turning another outdoor inside corner Shentan turned dangerously sharp, nearly ramming into the manager she was so eager to find.

"Hello." The young female Furret-Morph said in a blend of cheer and surprise, "Sorry. Didn't mean to almost run into you like that!"

She waited for a response from Shentan, but it never came. After a few awkward second, possibly a minute, she spoke up again lightly more uncomfortable, "Er.. I've been trying to find you this morning! We have many boxes that we could have help transporting from one area to another! If you could do that Shentan that would be great!" She smiled sweetly again, trying to be kind, but being shot down by Shentan's stubborn silence. Another silent minute passed...

"Ok.. Are these boxes the ones in the back room of the first front desk?" Shentan said with a very unenthusiastic tone.

"Yes!" She seemed excited, proud and amazed that Shentan knew what she was talking about; although Shentan commonly knew what was going on in the apartments more than this manager normally had.
"Yes, those are the ones! They need to be transported to the third back room at the third main desk across the way. I'm sure you know where that is by now then." She smiled very brightly again, almost sickening Shentan who knew it wasn't real.
"They're just supplies for a future planned party that some people are planning! Should have been transfered last week, but no one ever got to it. You know, good work and all!" Another awkward silent minute passed where the Furret-Morph expected an emediate reply but didn't receive one.
"Well..."

"Ok." Shentan then turned, walking in the opposite direction of the manager, towards the first main desk's back room. She had a look of annoyance plastered across her face. She had no choice but to take work from this lady, but the way she treated her just made her sick..

The Furret-morph hesitated, "Er.. Ok! Have a fine morning then!" She shouted out after Shentan, who felt no need to reply, and only continued to walk.

Vena hummed lightly to herself as she finished making her bed, already having changed her clothes, brushed her hair, and so on. Normally she would go eat breakfast first, but since the twins were staying with them, she didn't want them to see her in her pajamas... who knew what they would have in their minds then. In fact, who knew what they already thought about her... Luckily, she didn't have to worry about that with Benny, seeing as they were practically brother and sister, so she could be pretty sloppy in front of him. But never too sloppy.

Muttering about how twins needed to learn to clean up after themselves as she passed Benny's bedroom, she stopped as she entered the small living room/kitchen. The twins weren't in Benny's room, so why weren't they out here? The apartment wasn't that big, so they wouldn't have much place to hide... She glared as the window as a cold draft blew in. "They ran away..." she muttered to herself, closing the window, then going over to the Beedrill-morph on the couch. She really didn't want to wake him up, but she needed to help him get ready for the day before going to look for work, not to mention beating up those twins if she saw them around.

"Benny..." she said in a soft, sweet voice, touching his shoulder lightly.

Arocan sat on a bench in the park, plucking the strings of his lute and trying to tune it. He frowned at it, then sighed. "I'll be havin' t'take ye ta Vena, then. I'm sure that if anyone can tune ye, it'd be her, because I most definitely canna do it. Yer prolly broken, anyways," he said to it, idly strumming its eleven off-tune strings.

Juliet sang a little to herself as she walked through the park, causing the morning walkers and joggers around her to feel much calmer than normal, and some even grew a little drowsy. She didn't notice, however, and continued on her way, leaving confused morphs in her wake.

((Pyrix, if I did anything to god-mode, please just let me know and I'll change it. Just thought I'd have some action to move the story along. We haven't had much happen since the murder after all. XD

Same goes to the rest of you! Please let me know if I messed anyone up and I'll change it! Oh, and Midnight, are those apartments the same complex as the ones Azrael, Onikai, & Benny have taken residence in?

Note to self: Brightly-banded wings may act as warning flashers from police when Janet & Jasper are on normal patrol in the city?

Also, the exclaimation of Lugia as a diety was not my idea, but my good friend Spoonful of Agent's. XD Not that it matters much, but I didn't want to take credit.))

As the sound of the motorbike faded into the distance, a tree beside the house rustled and, within its leafy cover, someone spoke into a radio. "Hey, Matt..." it whispered urgently into the receiver. "Matthew, come in! Target has been sighted. Oof!"

The blunt end of a police gun made contact with the speaker's skull as the radio was knocked out of his grip. A more slender hand caught hold of the device as it fell from the tree - a Yanma morph dressed in camouflage green leaning against the trunk. She smoothly replaced the gun at her belt. "That's 'Commander Matthew' to you, Jasper. And we're supposed to be using codenames, remember?" Holding the speaker up to her own mouth, the young lady pressed the button once more.

"Commander M, this is Red reporting in. As Green so surreptitiously put it, the target has been spotted leaving the scene on a motorbike in the form of a human male. And not alone either. The owner of the house he took refuge in for the night is with him. We couldn’t hear their whole conversation, but she seemed willing, so we highly doubt she's a hostage. Though, she could be an accomplice. We'll have to look her up. Female, Ponyta-morph; maybe in her older teens."

A serious voice spoke back in reply. "Affirmative. Further physical description may be required. If you can get a good visual at the young lady with him, try to snap a picture. We’ll try to identify her as soon as possible. In the meantime, Red, you're in charge."

The young woman did not suppress a smug smile. In fact, she seemed to eye the tree canopy overhead, as if to assure herself that her partner was listening. "Yes, sir! I'll be sure to keep Green in check. Any further orders, commander?"

"Red, Green - if possible, pursue target as planned. Do you have any lead as to where they might be headed?"

"Yes, sir. We believe they're headed toward Shield City, M. We're afraid they might be difficult to track among bystanders, particularly with our suspect's rumored power. However, we assume the girl will stay close, so we'll be watching them both."

"Very good. And their transportation? Will their cycle be a problem?" By the tone of voice, it seemed the commander had little doubt in his officers' abilities.

"No, sir," came the confident reply, this time from the morph labeled 'Green' as he snatched his radio back from Red's hand. "We can keep up easily, so long as they maintain current speed. We don't see any reason as to why circumstances should change unless our positions are compromised and our presence is revealed."

"Alright then," Commander Matthew acknowledged, "I'll leave it to you two. We'll try and cut him off before he reaches the city if possible, were there are few people. Don't forget to keep me updated and call for backup when necessary, but only as a last resort. We should be able to stop them between the three of us; if there are any more officers involved, it'll cause a scene and the suspect will have an easier time escaping. I'll be counting on you both."

"Copy that, Commander."

"M over and out."

The radio bleeped once before falling silent. The Yanmega-morph slipped it into his belt and leapt out of the tree, somersaulting onto the ground before he rolled right back up onto his feet. He planted them sturdily apart, cautiously analyzing his surroundings. He looked so silly and took so long to spot his partner that she proceeded to slapping the back of his head. He didn't even see it coming.

"Over here, Jasper." The smirk on her lips hinted at suppressed laughter. "Fall asleep in that tree?"

"Maybe," Jasper, aka 'Green', replied coyly, a dreamy look in his eye as he reached out a pair of left hands - one to caress her cheek, the other to grab her waist. "Are you a dream, my darling, my Janet?"

"Why can't you stick to codenames for once?" Janet snapped, batting away his hands with a set of her own. Still, she grinned at him. "Come on, you. We have to find the suspect before he's too far off for even your arrogant wings to catch up to."

"What're you talking about? We're the fastest fliers on the force. No way he'd beat us on a cycle." Nevertheless, his wings began to vibrate until they were just a blur of movement and a low whirring of sound. "I don't see why we need codenames anyway; not with everyone out of earshot."

She tugged on the spikes that ran along his head and back, acting something like receiving antennae. "Ears aren't the only method of hearing, show-off." Her own wings were already carrying her into the air, though low enough to the ground so that she could keep an eye on the road. "We'll fly high until we spot them. Then we stay low. I doubt they'll see us. Just stick with me, got it?"

"'Till the end of time, darling," Jasper answered dreamily, blowing her a kiss. Before he could blink, the red-haired female was off and he was left with a stinging cheek. "Sassy woman..." he murmured to himself as he sped off after her into the distance.

"Mmm...Vena...?" a throaty voice uttered, sore as it was each morning from breathing though the mouth. As the figure beneath the blanket shifted at her touch, the wool fell away and the sleepy-eyed morph sat up with some difficulty.

Benjamin blinked a couple of times and awkwardly rubbed his eyes with his wrists. Rolling his shoulders back, the Beedrill-morph carefully stretched, his stingers well out of Vena's way. His blue-grey arms flexed and his broad yellow chest heaved as he yawned widely. As his hazy vision gradually came into focus, his female roommate's delicate figure swam into view.

"Good morning, Vena" he greeted cheerfully, his scarlet eyes shining. Though however fond his smile, even for Vena, it was always melancholy. She was one of the very few Ben didn't feel so exposed with; even without his heavily-layered clothes or dark shades to shield him. The depression of his life as an invalid was forever etched behind his brilliant red eyes; the likes of which he was so reluctant to reveal.

Leaning forward on the couch, he kissed her softly on the cheek before moving to get to his feet. Looping the blanket about an arm, he neatly draped it over the side of the couch. "Mind passing me my shades, sweet? Unh...I must have overslept..." Rubbing at the back of his hair with his wrist, he gazed anxiously at the time displayed on the clock.

Quite suddenly his sharp eyes narrowed and his warm smile transformed into a small frown as realization dawned upon Benny. He glanced about the room in vain. "Vena, you haven't seen the twins yet this morning, have you?" he inquired, his voice taking on a sardonic quality as he briskly walked toward his own room where the twins had spent the night.

"AHHH! What in the name of Lugia is that awful noise?!" Look pulled up sharply in his flight, tugging on his sensitive antennae as he glared about for the one responsible to the plucking and strumming of the out-of-tune instrument. "Someone picked a fine morning to worsen our hangovers…"

"Relax, Look, you didn’t have that much to drink last night anyway," Leer pointed out, recalling the previous evening when they had raided Ben's well-stocked fridge for beer. Why he had the stuff in his apartment in the first place they weren't sure, but they suspected it was to discourage them from going off on their own or to a bar. It had worked, but only for a night. The high metabolism of the two insects had them constantly thirsting for more alcohol.

"Leer, check it out!" Look exclaimed, forgetting his anger but not releasing his antennae until the terrible twanging had ceased. Instead, he pointed with a toe at a figure below them on a bench. "It's Arocan - that guy who works at Lime Light Lounge. Wonder what he's doing out here."

"Getting some fresh air?" Leer suggested, shrugging, though by now he himself was quite used to the odor of the bars they spent so much time at. "Or maybe checking out some chicks?" Nodding toward another figure not far off below them, the Dustox-morph motioned for his twin's attention.

"Well, would'ya look at that?" The Beautifly-morph chuckled as he spoke his own name and let out a long, low whistle. "What a pretty dame! Wonder where she got that voice?!"

Leer grinned at his brother's adoring, big blue eyes. "No kidding. And you know the best part?"

"What's that?" the gullible, air-headed flying-type asked, his gaze dreamy, his mind, as usual, stuck in the clouds.

"I saw her first."

Before Look could properly register Leer's whispered words, the Dustox-morph was diving down to the softly-singing young lass. His brother’s silver face promptly turned a bright scarlet as he realized he'd been challenged. Look hated losing, but using attract would be cheap. He'd have to find some other way to catch the lady's attention. There was time. After all, Look was confident Leer had nowhere near his charm. He could find other ways to defeat his younger brother.

Descending to land gently behind Arocan's bench, Look smiled and tapped the bar-tender on the shoulder. "Hey there, lad! Good to see a familiar face around here in the morning. Say, I’m sorry, but I couldn’t help hearing you talk to yourself," he offered in an offhand way, as if talking to oneself was a common pastime. As if in explanation of his distanced eavesdropping, his antennae perked up a bit before falling limp again across his shoulder "And I just wondered if I was hearing things, but did you happen to mention a lassie – er, I mean 'lady' - by the name of Vena?"

Cain and Talin were still ways away from Shield City, but Cain had an uneasy feeling. He quickly stopped and pulled off the road scanning the area around him. Talin gave him a confused looked and poked him on the side making him flinch and glare at her, “What was that for, Talin?”

“Nothing, you seem... oh what's the word... worried or something. What's on you mind, Cain?” Talin sighed heavily seeing as he wasn't going to tell her. Since she had known him, he hadn't said much that was on his mind. She snapped back into reality when Cain had gotten off the cycle. She followed in his lead, “Cain, what's the matter?”

Cain turned on his heel to face her and quickly pull her into an embrace. He sighed and whispered into her ear, “When we get to Shield City, stay away from me as much as possible. Go visit Azrael or something, we're not going to stay there very long. I just need to pick something up and check up on someone, but I have a feeling something isn't going to go right and I wouldn't want to see you getting hurt on my account.”

He let her go and walked back over to the cycle getting ready to head out for Shield City once again. Thoughts swam through his head. Cain needed to get to Shield City as fast as he could and leave as soon as possible. The less time he spent there, the better.

A young girl sat in a chair with her elbows propped up on the window sill chin resting in her palms. She sighed heavily as she stared out at the city since she was caged in her large mansion behind tall gates. The young butterfree-morph stood up with her wings down as she walked over to the doors. Before she could even make it to the door, it swung open to reveal a chansey-morph wearing a white apron, “Oh, Miss Kanoa, there's a problem with the sprinklers in the back, so everyone is over there trying to fix it. So, you shouldn't go anywhere without tell one of us, understood, Miss Kanoa?”

The chansey-morph winked at the last part leaving Kanoa alone once again. She simply smiled at the now closed door. Quickly she gather a few things and placed them inside a small messenger bag throwing it over her shoulder. Kanoa tip-toed to the front door and opened the gate just enough for her to walk through it. She started running towards the park dodging people walking on the sidewalks. Upon arrival she quickly dropped the bag and begun to spin around giggling. Falling to the ground she took a deep breath and smiled, “Maria is so nice to me. I'll need to remember to thank her when I get back.”

The young dratini-morph looked out the window with the sound of a motorcycle stopping in front of the complex. He walked back to the kitchen where a white furry absol-morph stood cooking. The blue and white morph sat down at the table laying his head on it, “Hey Az, someone on a motorcycle parked outside of the building. Think it's that crazy woman?”

“That crazy woman has a name, Dran. You should know it quite well. And if it's Talin, that means she came with that 'lover boy' named Cain.” The absol-morph turned around placing a plate of food in front of Dran. He sat across from the morph and began to eat. Moments later there was a knock at the door. Dran sighed and stabbed his food while Az got up to answer the door. Making his way to the door he shook his head knowing it was Talin. He opened the door and started walking back to the table, “Talin, why do you always come without calling?”

“I don't mean to, it just happens, Azzy.” The ponyta-morph smiles following him to the table. She sat next to Dran, who just buried his head into his hands. Talin smirked and ruffled his hair, “Aww, not happy to see me, Dranny-poo?”

“Stop calling him Dranny-poo and stop calling me Azzy. It's just plain weird, Talin.” Azrael spun around from the fridge to scold her while taking out some ingredients for their new comers food. He began to cook up some food when Dran got up and head for the door, “I'm going out for a walk...”

“The kid doesn't like me much, does he?” Talin sighed while Azrael sat next to her. He put his hand on her shoulder and sighed, “Maybe you should act less violent and stupid with him. Ever though that was the problem?” Talin just looked up at him and glared, but he just smiled and went back to cooking.

Cain stood in an alley near the Lime Light Lounge scanning the area for something. He had left his bike in front of the building where he had dropped off Talin. Finally he closed his eyes and sighed, “What took you so long, Maria?”

Behind Cain appeared a chansey-morph. She sweetly smiled at him and handed him a steel case. “Sorry, but I had to cause some type of commotion to get out of there.” Cain took the case and shook his head, “And you let Miss Kanoa leave?” Maria looked away and sighed, “It isn't fair to just keep her behind those four walls. Let her live such a sheltered life. You of all people know that. You go place she can only dream about going.”

“So what if she's living a sheltered life? It's what's best for her until Damion can get full power over the underground clubs.” Cain simple stated while placing a hand on Maria's shoulder, “I know it's not fair, but Damion's commands are law, you know that.” The pink skinned morph pushed Cains' hand, “How can someone like you do the things you do?”

The ditto-morph placed his hand in his pocket while transforming into a murkrow-morph and flew away. His eyes still the same vibrant violet eyes. He quickly landed on top a run-down apartment complex on the other side of town from where he had left Talin. He entered the building from the door on the roof that lead to some stairs. Walking down two stories all he heard was his own footsteps. Cain entered the hall and opened the first door on the right throwing the case on the bed. He sat down at the desk taking out a black notebook and pen. He began to jot down numbers adding things and subtracting. Cain looked up from his work to look at a picture. It was old and bent in half. There was a girl with shoulder length black hair with dark brown eyes; next to her stood a taller boy with short brown hair and green eyes. In the background was a few large buildings with people wearing black or white uniforms with a large red 'R' on it. As much as he was disgusted with the picture, he loved it all the same. Cain had stood up and laid down on the bed kicking the case onto the floor. He placed his hands behind his head and closed his eyes, “Keiko... where are you?”

Slowly Cain had changed into a younger version of himself with shorter spiky hair and much lighter brown color, but then his skin started turning light purple and becoming more liquidized.

“In all Lugia's name... what has the world done to you, Cain?” The feminine voice sighed running her hand through her hair while taking off her sunglasses. She sat on a large black couch with a laptop on her lap and a video of Cain's transformations that recently played. The raichu-morph closed the laptop and started walking towards the kitchen. She opened the fridge and took out a bottle of water. She sat back down drinking the water, “Might as well stop by the Lime Light Lounge before I head to work.”

She stood up once again and headed outside where a black motorcycle with lightening bolts decorated the side. She got on and sent out a small lightening bolt to juice up the electric-powered motorcycle. With that all done she was off to the Lime Light Lounge to find out what's been going on.

Tendra looked out the window. 'Maybe a walk...' he thought as he looked down and found Onikai had fallen asleep.

"I'm going out to do some shopping. I'll be back in a while." Cannon stood up and took his reading glasses off. "Okay?"

Tendra nodded and watched Cannon as he left. He stood up slowly and carefully, trying not to wake Oni up. Then, after popping another 'magical' muffin into his mouth, he left as well.

Onikai opened his eyes slightly and watched as his two roommates left. He sat up and sighed. Those two really are good friends even if they didn't know it. He layed back once more and slowly drifted back to sleep.

Tendra happilly skipped down the street which lead to the Lime Light Lounge. He stopped at an ally, which he noticed that two morphs were standing there. He hid behind a wall and peered at them from the side. What he saw startled him. It was a ditto-morph! But not just any ditto-morph. It was him. The one he had barely escaped that one fateful day when he met Oni and Cannon. Surely he was up to no good. The ditto-morph suddenly turned into a murkrow-morph and flew away just as he started to run towards them.
