"Uncle Trig has been acting lately, right Dad?" the cub spoke, walking slowly beside him. The golden coated male with strange black marks upon his shoulders and lower back. His crimson eyes looked up at his father's teal, partially hidden by his dark brown mane. It was not too difficult to mistaken the little cub as someone elses cub than the fathers. They shared some things like fur color, but the rest seem to have appeared from somewhere in his bloodline. "He's been a little moppy lately. . . And he didn't really tell me anything this time."
"Your Uncle's been feeling a little down. Think about it, Zeki, he is alone out here. If you noticed, no one lives him with him. Being lonely could hurt someone a lot. Your Uncle just needs to find someone, but he is afraid to go out. That can't be helped so don't even say anything," he smiled when Zeki closed his maw after opening it to say something. However, Ger had beaten him to the chase. "He can take care of himself, we shouldn't try to interfer with his love life, but I am sure someone we both know very well will try to. Name starting with "Kin"."
Zeki chuckled at the hint. It was obvious who it was because the hint itself was his nickname for his other Uncle. Uncle Kinari. Kinari had a habit of doing stuff like interfering with others whenever he got the chance. He doesn't come around often and it is strange talking to him. It was always something about war, death, blood, murdering, killing, maiming... yes, the list goes on. But Zeki learned to ignore those parts.
The father-son duo walked down the shoreline until the cliff side crescendo'd so it met with the sand so they could get back up to the grasslands and head back home. It was nice to get away sometimes, but Ger had his own reasons. Someone had to keep all the brothers together after all. Zeki just liked to tag along to talk to the said brother.

Off in another direction, Ravi was sitting on the beach staring out into the water. Gold eyes watched the waves roll in and roll out. It helped to calm him and prepare him for the day. But, things were slightly awkward between him and Sevi at the moment. Ever since he confessed his feelings to her, she's changed. He couldn't decipher if the change was good or not, but at least they were still together.
His ears pricked foward with curiosity. Now, that scent was something he hadn't caught a whiff of in ages. But, how could that be? Ger wouldn't be all the way over here at the ocean when his family lived back in the plains. It seemed like ages ago since he last saw his friend, so much had happened since then...his scars, Sevi's scars...he hoped Ger was doing well. He got up and started to search for Ger, completely unaware that Sevi was searching for him at the moment.

Ger chuckled as he picked his son up and placed him onto his back. It had been a while since the two had came to visit Trig out here along the beach. His cove was remote so it was difficult to find him, but he was himself still. He had his secrets and he was always figity but it cannot be helped with his secrets that he had to hide. Zeki was still young and was put under a lot of weight from his Uncles and himself. Ger wanted so much from his son, something that he could not get. He never had a proper teaching when he was young. He never had the chance to meet bother his parents, biological ones anyway. Zeki learned a lot and it seemed like he did not mind it at all. It seemed that the fun he had with his uncles was overriding his stress or something.
As the duo continued, something stopped him in his track. Something was coming in from the ocean breeze, not just the cold air but a smell. A scent.
"Zeki... do you smell a scent?"
The cub sniffed the air and nodded. "Lion, male, and if I am right, he is not far."
Ger smiled. "You are too good for your age, son. You got to relax and just be a cub, act your age," he started, walking along the shore. The scent was coming close, it was not too far. He liked to include his son in a lot of the things he does. His oldest brother, Trig, had suggested that they established a very strong father-son bond and he has done that since the day Zeki was able to run.
"Well... that is why I have my friends," Zeki replied, snuggling close to his father's mane to keep himself warm. "Whoever it is... he's close."

His paws traveled through the sand as Ravi could feel his excitment rise. His tail flicked anxiously as his gold eyes searched the area. He couldn't be far, his scent was very strong now. Though, he caught the scent of another, he didn't recognize it and pushed it aside. If only he knew then that the other scent was just as important as the first!
Ears pricked forward, straining to hear any sounds, to catch anything that'd lead him closer. But, just as he was rounding over a hill, off in the distance was a golden figure dotted against the horizon. A sly grin spread across his features as he tried to stalk his way over there to pounce on Ger. He just had to get the other male before he was caught, even though he stuck out more than the other.

Ger's spiritful teal eyes glanced around the shoreline to find where this scent was coming from, it was growing stronger by the moment. The ocean air was just as strong, whirling all around from the ocean breeze, it could not be helped. His paws stopped, nose into the air, taking a wiff here and there. Zeki giggled and crawled up his father's mane and whispered lightly into his ear, "Hey Dad, do you know anyone that's red?" Ger just nodded. "Well, he's right over there."
Ger smirked, it was good having an extra pair of ears and eyes. His head still spun around looking for the red and teal male that he had met all those moon cycles ago. His heart beat faster in excitement and hopped that he could get at the male before he was hit first. Though, it would not be a good idea to be hit first with a young cub upon his shoulders.
His perked up to find some footsteps nearby, by the feeling he got from kneading claws, Zeki had gotten his father's hearing, too. Grinning, he darted off toward the noise, knowing full well that the impact that was coming may cause some pain... to both.

Just as Ravi thought he could have taken Ger by surprise, he was the one that was surprised when the golden male came dashing for him. So much for the element of surprise! Guess he wouldn't be the one pouncing Ger afterall. Forgetting about that thought, he skidded to a stop to avoid running head on with Ger. That wouldn't of felt pretty at all!
With a wide grin, he went to bat Ger with his paw, "What a pleasant surprise to see you all the way out here, Ger! I would have never have thought I'd see you over here!" They had both grown, and Ger was just as tall as he was, which made him glad that he didn't have to feel so big in the first place! Just as he was about to say something else, he blinked in surprise, noticing for the first time, the cub on Ger's back. Raising an eyebrow, "Who's this, Ger?" By the looks of it, it looked like Ger's son.

Ger chuckled, but remained on top of the other male. It was odd to see a male on top of another male, but this was one of those cubhood play fighting sort of things and just getting tired. At least that is how Ger saw it. He smiled his charming smile.
"Well, my older step brother lives out here so I come visit him often. Besides, it is nice to get out and travel, it satisfies my wonder lust, y'know?" he replied. "Oh! This is-"
Zeki popped his head up over his father's head and smiled a similarly charming smile. "My name is Ezekiel, but please call me Zeki as it seems much more fitting for someone as young as me. And it's easier to remember," it seemed that it became a rather habitual introduction now whenever the cub had met an old friend of Ger's. It was a happy time that the two were seen together, hell, it was quite often said that they were almost inseperatable. "Hey Dad, who's this male? By the way he talks about you, can I guess that he is a friend?"
Ger nodded slightly, mostly to prevent Zeki from falling off his head (and causing a bald spot in the process). "Yes, this is my old friend, Ravi. You better remember him because you will see him again someday when I'm not around."
The cub tilted his head and wondered what he had meant. His father was not gonna die anytime soon, he was still young! Perhaps he just meant that he was gonna go away for a while... hopefully not.
"Hello, Mr. Ravi."

Things would never change. Even though they were both adults, Ravi would still never best Ger at getting the advantage, though he didn't mind since it brought back memories. He tilted his head, taking in this information. Well, that's something he didn't know. But, the latter information was even more astonishing! Ger was a father?!
Golden eyes widen in surprise, "What a surprise Ger, I would have never imagined you'd have relatives all the way over here." Well, that made things better, at least he'd get to see his friend more often then! It's been too long since he last saw the male. When Zeki spoke, he gave Ger a sly smile. "Starting a family already!" He couldn't help but chuckle heartily.
He looked to Zeki, "What a pleasure to meet you, Zeki! Please, just call me Ravi...Mr. Ravi makes me sound so old! And yes, Ger and I have known each other for quite a while, it seems like just yesterday I had ran into him." He shook his head before glancing around, wondering where his white companion had ran off to. It's not like her to be gone for such a long time by herself.

Ger chuckled and shrugged his shoulders, the cue for his son to do his thing and get off it. The smaller feline did just that and hopped off his back and hit the sand with a soft thud. He had done this enough times to not let it phase him too much. Ger smiled and nudged him. It was quite fun to have his son around, it meant that he was never alone and it was time to bond with him. From the stories of his brothers, Trig, Kinari, and Moto'Vianzio, he had learned that each of them did not share a very strong bond with their fathers and eventually caused their deaths and/or disconnection.
"Well, my siblings spread wide, so I have only a few moments to travel out of the Pride Lands and find them. The one here is the easiest, he doesn't wander as the other two. And my son seems to like him a lot more than the others," Zeki nodded in agreement. Ger known that Trig was here, he was not going to leave either. At first, he was quite intimidating by the much larger male. Then he did not know that he was a brother but a rogue in the Maziko territories. It was only bumping into him again was he really surprised.
The father laid down, scooped up his son and licked the back of his head, which was starting to become rather rough now. His mane was starting to grow in. "Well... It's something, I am content with my mate and my son, I could not ask for anymore. Besides, I think Trina would kill me if I tried to get more!" The father laughed meanwhile the cub took the time of distraction to scratch, or "rub", the back of his neck. "Zeki! Please don't scratch your neck. Your mane will just get worse and you just get into the habit." he knew that first hand, luckily, his mane was fine.
Zeki sighed and obeyed, twisting his neck to rid himself of the temptation. He had not really scratched it but it was starting to get annoying as the moon cycles moved on.
"It's a pleasure," he dipped his head. "Then Ravi it is! I am not too surprised that you know Dad, he seems to have gotten around a lot when he was younger. At least that is what I could assume from the number of people I have met," it was then that Ravi had started to look around that he lowered his head to look at him. "Who are you looking for?"

Gold eyes looked between the two with a grin as Ravi replied, "Ah yes, it is a shame I don't have siblings to visit...but then, that's what I have you for, Ger!" He couldn't help but chuckle, it was nice to see his friend again. Lately, he has been wondering if he should find his mother one last time. He flicked his tail, he'd think about that later. As for now, he didn't want to ruin his time with Ger and Zeki. It was so nice to see the two of them together, Zeki did look a lot like his father, that's for sure. As for the mother, he's never seen her so he couldn't say what the cub got from her.
His head tilted slightly at the two, "Oh? Zeki's your only cub? I think you should have a whole bunch, Ger!" He winked playfully before turning towards the cub, a bit taken back by the question. Ah, so he was being too noticeable. "Ah, just my companion. She shouldn't be too far away, but I haven't seen her all day. She'd love you, Zeki." He paused, "Much has happened since I last saw you Ger. Not only did I gain these ugly scars, but I gained another family as well. It's quite the tale, when I think about it."

"You'll have to leave the beach to find me, Ravi. Last time I checked, where I live, there is no ocean."
He narrowed his eyes as a sarcastic, questioning expression. Where was he getting off telling how many cubs he should have? He was young then and still a bit hurt with confliction. Besides, he could not have possibly been the only one to be "blamed" for this, it takes two to create a life.
"Well, I am glad I only have one, as much as I would have liked to have siblings for Zeki, it gives me more time to focus on one single cub than many running all over the place. You know, the Pride Lands are getting bigger as the moon passes on," he laughed. The Pride Lands were growing, full of new life. The current throne bearers have already bore their heirs and heiresses, in fact, he had met a few. He liked the times he had with Zeki, they always kept him awake and in ways, made him feel like a cub again. Wanton, jolly, and just all about wanting to play.
Zeki smiled and purred. He was pleased to hear that someone would be glad to see him, actually, he is pleased most of the time anyhow. He looked around to see if he can spot this female of Ravi's, his companion. He had no real idea what she looked like, so just had to find the closest female.
"A companion, you say?" he smirked rather deviously this time. "A female, you say?" it grew a little wider. "Much has happened? And another family? Oh do tell."

A slight nod of his head, Ravi would definitely take some time out to visit Ger. "I should do that, it might prove to be very entertaining since I haven't been over there in quite some time." He chuckled softly before he caught that look on Ger's face. Oh boy, he probably should of kept his mouth shut and said nothing about it. He was just digging his grave deeper and deeper. He gave Ger a scared look. "I don't like that look on your face, Ger!"
He sighed slightly, there was no way he'd get out of it. Might as well tell Ger what he wanted to hear. "Well, lets see..." He paused, "I got attacked and almost died, but Sevati came and saved me. Her father and her helped heal me and thus, we came over here since this is where they were heading since they were kicked out of their homelands because Sevati's half Firekin..." He paused as he heard his name before being knocked over by the said female.
The white lioness had been searching for Ravi all morning and she had just found him! She had noticed that he was talking with someone, but that didn't stop her from running over and tackling him to the ground. She looked down at him with a pout on her face, "Ravi! You could of said something before you went off on your own!"
She was about to go on when she just noticed the other two lions and felt her cheeks heat up. Was Ravi with friends? She got off of him and promptly looked at the two with a wide smile, "Hello!" Spotting the cub next to the lion, she had to hold back a squeal. She loved cubs!

"Well-" the sentence was cut short for his reply to his story when a blur of silver rushed by and taking out the red and teal lion from his view. He saw Zeki laugh but stiffle it quickly to act by his Code. It made him laugh how one so young tries to act so mature. It was an anomly, but it was his son, he does what he wants as long as it was safe and did not get him into trouble. So the two go paw and paw. His vibrant teal eyes fell over to the female and to the side striken Ravi.
"Well, hello there. I can assume you are Sevati?" He spoke, he dipped his head in respect.
Zeki's vibrant crimson eyes looked over her body with glee, such beautiful markings! They were shiny and clean, she must have taken great care of her fur. He did too but not enough to become white! It was gorgeous to say the least. He purred and took a step forward. "Greetings, Miss Sevati. My name's Ezekiel, but please, call me Zeki! And this is my Dad, Ger," he smiled and looked at his father who just gave a whimsical rolling of the eyes. Turning his attention back to the female. "You look very pretty, Miss, very beautiful."
Ger stiffled his own laugh this time and nudged his son. "You shouldn't say that too often to one older than you," he paused and jerked up. He just called a female old, or hinted to it. That in his book was bad. "I mean, one old enough to be your mother," wrong. "I mean, someone older than you are but younger than I."
"But Dad, you look a young, you are young. That is what Uncle Trigger says. Uncle Trig says that you are the little one, sometimes calls you a Cub. And Uncle Kinari calls you "Whelp"."
Ger's face flushed red, very embarassed about how his older siblings talked about him being the baby of their twisted family. He placed a paw over his son head and forced him to bow too as a sign of respect.
"You must forgive him. He gets talkative sometimes."
"Nu-uh!"

Sevati blinked curiously at Ger, before taking a sneaking glance at Ravi. "Uh huh! Talking about me again to your friends? Sharing secrets without me? What kind of things were you saying about me?" She threw the jest at Ravi playfully before she dipped her head. "Well, it's a shame that Ravi took away my introduction! I'm Sevati and it's a pleasure to meet the two of you!" She felt a bit bashful, beautiful? Aw, that was so sweet!
Her head tilted slightly, "Beautiful?" She walked over to Zeki and placed her paw around him to bring him closer to her. Old? Her? She stuck her tongue out at Ger playfully at the comment. Lime green eyes looked up at Ger, "But being talkative is fun, if not, then things would get boring! Right, Zeki?"
Ears lowered a bit as Ravi tried to say something but was cut short at Sevati's gaze. No, he couldn't say anything to her at the moment, and felt like a fool. Standing up, he shook himself and looked between Ger, Zeki and Sevi. As the words went back and forth, he couldn't help but chuckle at the two. Oh dear, now he'd have fun with that. He shook his head, "It's a wonder what happens when someone talks a lot. Though, that doesn't sound like too much of a compliment, Ger."
His head turned to Sevi as she pulled the cub closer to her. Oh no, don't get any ideas, he prayed silently. He could definitely see her getting along with Ger and Zeki. "I met Ger some time back on my travels, before I...we got attacked. I had no idea he had a son until just now, though."

Zeki purred at the attention and moved willingly to the female as she pulled him close. He rubbed up against her as any domestic cat would for attention and to comfort the one being rubbed. A small chuckled escaped his maw.
"Yeah!" he said in agreement. He talked quite a lot, well, more so that he took a lot of his father's thunder in conversations and he had not quite learned the difference of what to keep and what not to.
"Of course you're beautiful. My uncle says that all females are beautiful, unique in their own way, but their beauty is something that all females have. It is their uniqueness is what sets them apart."
Ger rolled his. Someone has being teaching him something they shouldn't have...
The older male looked at Sevi and Zeki, they seemed to be getting along just find without having him to talk to them. THey could converse for a while as he focused his attention on Ravi, his old friend. Besides, he had his own mate to love and care for. She may be a little flirty at times, but it just made him blush. Attention.
"Well, apparently, they become good friends it seems," he chuckled. "Besides, it wasn't a mockery but more of something that seems to be overlooked."
He paused as Ravi broke away to look at his female companion and his son.
"I met Ravi back when I had only my mane... well, less of it," he ran his paws through his chest with a rather sheepish chuckled that got Zeki to giggle. "back then, I was a mess! If Ravi was attacked, you could think that I would have been the first to attack him again if it weren't for my own problems," Ger stopped before poking a claw against the Firekin. "By and by, I had my son when I got back to the Pride Lands, mister, so dun think I just had a fling the day after I met you. Zeki, how old are you?"
Zeki paused and held up his eight digits, his forepaws, and counted them slowly. One digit. One cycle (month). Second digit. Third digit. Fourth Digit. Fifth digit. Sixth digit. Seventh digit. He wiggled his eighth one before leaving it up. "Seven cycles, Dad."
Ger smirked and puffed at his friend. "Hah, seven cycles ago that Trina gave birth to our son. And mind you, it takes a while."
