RP for Alphonse, Envy, Perhaps Lust if she wants to come in? And she did, and Roy's coming in too. Entire FMA Cast RP FTW! heart Alphonse Reference: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j213/kat_aclysm/gaia_pet_storage/Alkatmy.jpg (ain't he cute? X3 ) ----------------- The precious page he had torn out of the alchemical book lay safely on the ground next to him for reference as he worked on the rug. His work area was lit by the warm orange glow of the campfire he had made a few hours earlier, just as it was getting dark. His paw fur was lighter and covered in chalk dust, but he didn't mind too much. He simply sat on his hinds and batted the paws together a few times, causing the chalk dust to come out of his fur, being blown away into the cold night air.
How long had it been since he had escaped from the house where his brother and that red female resided? He didn't know now, but he still wasn't about to go back any time soon. He had had some alone time to think about their situation, and it still made him feel strange. He was very happy for his brother, absolutely no doubt about that. Alphonse was happy that his brother had found somebody to share the rest of his life with, and she was a wonderful natured creature from what little he knew of her. But whether or not she was really like that for sure, well... he didn't know. Maybe that was an act, he'd seen people act nice one moment and show their true colours the next. Was his brother being led into a trap? He didn't know... The youth found himself growling slightly, and shook his head.
Lily seemed like a nice girl, and based on his brother's judgement, she probably was. But every time he thought about her, about his brother, them in general, his chest panged with a dull ache. Though whether that was of regret, of hurt, shame, jealousy, or of sadness, he himself didn't know. That pair made too many unsavoury feelings surface within the youth, and he didn't like them at all. Why was he being like this?
He was happy for his brother, of course he was! But... the fact that he had a girlfriend meant that Alphonse didn't really have a place to be around him any more, or so he thought, anyway. He felt that he would only get in the way of their own adventures. They were a couple now, he wasn't needed any more – he would be like a third wheel, and his presence around would only hold them back from doing their own things together.
That was why he had to leave them, and go back.
The Kitsusagi squeezed his eyes shut, angry with himself for feeling this way. He wanted to go back, for his brother's sake. He should be happy. He should have been happy that he wasn't getting in their way. He was feeling NONE of that right now however.
Alphonse sighed at himself and returned his attention back to the alchemical wheel in front of him, wanting to distract his mind from current events and focus properly on his task. The rug he had been drawing on was from Endless, and the chalk he had gotten from the Kitsusagi Realm building a few hours earlier. He had sketched out the human transmutation circle referenced from the torn-out page of General Mustang's alchemy book and now that it was done, he sat back on his heels to admire and examine his work for flaws. He traced some of the lines and arcs with a paw finger, silently muttering the text on the alchemy circle to himself. It all seemed perfect – no mistakes. It was properly drawn, and no lines were out of place. There wasn't anything that could go wrong with it now.
After giving the transmutation circle one final check, the Kitsusagi rolled up the mat it had been drawn on and hauled it along on his back, narrowing his eyes in determination. Edward had spoken of Envy, he had to be around here somewhere. One could always get to the gate when human alchemy, or a homonculus was involved, afterall..
Once the rug was securely on his back, he held it partly in place with the backs of his wings, partly with one paw. He kicked out the campfire, and wandered away from the area he had been camping in to go in search of Envy. Though, truth be told, the youth really had no idea where to look at all.

He wouldn't have to look long, for the homunculus in question had been looking for him too. He had been fllowing his trail after discovering that the shrimp's brother had arrived. Envy was in hot pursuit of him, and it so happened that he found him just at this moment.
"Well well... if it isn't the pipsqueak's little brother. Almost didn't recognize you since you're not a trashcan anymore." The voice seemed to come out of nowhere, that is... until the green haired Kitsusagi emerged from the shadows. A sneer on Envy's maw as he stood there in an arrogant fashion.
"What are you doing out here? And so... alone? Have a fight with your big brother?" This could work out to his advantage.. not only did he have Edward's girlfriend to play with.. but now his younger brother.. the two most important figures in his life. Certainly enough to make the tiny alchemist suffer.

"Huh?"
Alphonse's ears raised high above his head as his sensitive ears picked up on that all too familiar voice. He stopped dead in his tracks, one ear rotating for the source of the voice. He could hear it, but couldn't tell where it was coming from. This made the youth nervous and he turned his head, burnt-golden eyes wary as they searched for the owner of the voice, hoping he'd fare better with his sight. He knew what Envy was like and was prepared for anything.
"Hey! D-don't you dare call my brother a pipsqueak!" Alphonse protested, finally facing Envy once he had emerged from the shadows. "And don't call me a trashcan either - I was never just a suit of armor and you know it!"
"What am I doing out here?" He moved to stand on his hinds, the bottom of the curled up rug touching the ground. It heavily leaned on him and made him feel clumsy, but he was ready to push it onto the ground and unfurl it at a moment's notice.
"I'm not doing anything out here," He quickly lied, wanting to turn the conversational topic off himself. "What about you, why are you out here? Most people don't wander out at night like this, you know." He frowned. "Anyone would think you're up to something."

Envy grinned maliciously before letting out a laugh. "Well I don't see your brother to protest that... or to save you either." This was certainly a good opportunity... Edward would be sorry that he let his brother get out of his sights.
He then rolled his eyes, "Please.. I've been here longer than you, kid.. I think I know what I'm doing. Besides.. I was looking for you." Still sporting that malicious grin, he advanced on Alphonse, like a predator stalking his prey. He would get rid of Alphonse, and then Edward would be heartbroken. And that's exactly what Envy wanteed... he wanted Edward to suffer.. he wanted them BOTH to suffer. Because they had HIS blood running through their veins.

"I don't need my brother to save me!" Alphonse retorted, a hint of insult in his angry tone. "I'm just as skilled as he is, and I'm bigger - I don't need him for anything!"
Envy's next statement took him by surprise. "You were looking for me?" He blinked. "Whatever for?" He pinned his ears back, not wanting to mention that he had been looking for him, too. Though for an entirely different reason, no doubt.
"Wh... what are you doing?" Alphonse's gaze was locked on the other Kitsusagi as he began to advance on him, and he backed up slightly, rising on his hinds, standing like a bipedal creature as if trying to appear bigger. The rug thumped on the ground somewhere behind him, and he moved back to stand on it, ready to kick it out and unroll it.
This was perfect - if Alphonse planned this properly, the homonculus was going to walk right into his transmutation circle. Still, the way Envy was looking at him... he was very nervous and wary. This could either go very well, or end badly.
"What are you doing?" He repeated again, front paws raised and at the ready, the male ready to slap them together and perform a transmutation should he come too close, or try to attack him.

Envy laughed again in a mocking fashion as he continued to advance, "Oh yeah? Then why are you so scared?" Alphonse couldn't hide his fear from Envy, he practicly thrived on it.
The sin stopped, his claws kneading the ground infront of him, "What do you think? You're the perfect bait to get your brother's attention. Not to mention you're one of HIS sons. Tearing you apart will be so much fun!" Envy sneered once again, running his tongue along his jagged teeth.
Envy then leaped for Alphonse with a speed only a homunculus could accomplish. His teeth and fangs bared and aiming to dig into the younger Elric brother's flesh. He would do as he promised, rip him limb from limb.... leaving only a bloody body for Edward to find.

"Scared?" Alphonse quickly replied, narrowing his eyes in determination. "Who said I was scared?" He backed up one more step, one foot standing firmly on the corner of the rug now. If he could just wait for the right moment...
"Bait?" His expression was momentarily surprised, then angry again. "What makes you think my brother is going to---" He never finished his sentence. He was knocked onto his back with the sheer force of Envy's lunge, landing hard in the dirt behind him, wings splaying out either side of him ungracefully in their feeble attempt to keep him balanced. The next sound he made was a panicked yelping noise as he moved his paws out in front of him, trying desperately to push Envy off again.
"My brother isn't going to come for me, you're wrong!" Alphonse yelped. "Now get off me, your attacking me isn't going to do you any good!" He attempted to move his back legs under the homonculus and kick him off in his panic, loudly whimpering, pinning his ears back, wanting to keep them well out of the way - it would seriously hurt if one was bitten off.
If only he could get his front paws free and get some distance between him and the homonculus again, he could create a transmutation circle between his paws, or at least unroll the rug. But for now, all he could do was hold the homonculus back and try to kick him off.

"I can see it in your eyes" Envy taunted with a light hiss. Oh yes, he knew Alphonse was scared, even if he tried to hide it.
Envy tried to get in a few hits on Alphonse before leaping back with the kick that hit his belly. A few blinks and a confused stare being given the younger brother, "Is that so? Well how disappointing." He smirked, "You two must have really had a fight then... perhaps over that stupid girl? Well then.. if he won't come to me.. I'll just have to put your body in his path where he's sure to notice."
Somewhere in the distance, Edward had been tracking Alphonse's pawprints with the dust that Lilianna had given him. Geez.. just how far had Al been going? Edward had slowed and was rather tired from the pursuit... however, he managed to hear a yelp. His ears standing up and eyes widening slightly. That sounded like his brother. With renewed energy... Edward started to run in the diretion it had come from.
Envy too, made another leap for Alphonse. The younger brother would have a hard time fending him off for sure.

"I'm not afraid!" Alphonse growled back, trying to sound as confident as he could muster. "You want a fight? Bring it on!"
Once the homonculus was off the youth, Alphonse quickly got to his feet again, shaking himself off. He slapped the palms of his paws together, transmuting the air in front of him, causing it to shift and blow hard like a strong gale for a brief second or two, blowing him further back away to safety.
With enough distance between them, Alphonse kicked back the rug, causing it to unfurl and roll out flat on the groud. A small cloud of chalk dust came off the rug with the movement, some coming off the transmutation circle the youth had drawn just hours earlier.
He flinched at Envy's words, mostly because the other had hit the nail right on the head. "She's not stupid," Alphonse quickly retorted back at him, inching back across the rug, getting chalk dust on the soles of his shoes, smudging one of the inscriptions on the topside of the transmutation circle. "She hasn't gotten between us either, I'm going to get between them. That's why I'm out on my own now. So don't try anything funny, it's not going to work on me."
He loudly yelped as Envy leaped at him again, and he sprung back off the rug, hoping the homonculus would land on that transmutation circle. Then things would play into his advantage.

Envy landed on the rug, his paws moving carelessly on the chalk circle that was drawn onto the rug. Alphonse probably should have found something other than chalk to use for drawing an array. "Whatever kid, its not like it matters to me." He was going to be dead soon anyway if Envy had anything to say about it.
But wait a minute... what was the deal with the rug? Eyes blinked and he looked down, lifting a paw and shaking it as he realized there was stuff on it. Chalk? "Huh? What's this?" Eyes then widened as he saw the transmutation circle, and a look was given towards Alphonse, rage in his eyes. "You little brat!" Scrambling quickly, he tried to get off the rug before Alphonse could activate the circle.

Alphonse landed again, more relieved than anything when Envy did not rush at him in a rage after making the realization as to what he was standing on.
"You know what it is, don't you," He pinned his ears back, watching the homonculus very closely. "So there's going to be no suprises between us now. But don't worry, I just need you to get back home again. I'm not actually going to transmute you into anything... all you need to do is just stand there."
He highly doubted that was going to work - since when was Envy ever cooperative with either him or his brother? His plan was fast failing and he couldn't think of any back up idea right now.
"Just stay still, OK? After this is over, you'll never have to see or hear from me again."

Nope, Envy wasn't about to cooperate. Even though Envy couldn't perform alchemy, he certainly knew enough about it to realize that Alphonse was up to. The last thing Envy wanted to be faced with, was the gate.
"You really are an idiot" he seethed. Stay still? HA! "I don't think so!" Envy made another lunge for Alphonse, just as someone else came bursting forth from the forest.
"AL! STOP!" Why it was Edward, whom Alphonse was so totally convinced, wouldn't show up. Well there he was, and running in the direction of his brother and the attacking homunculus.

"I don't think so either!!" This time he was prepared for Envy's charge, and promptly slapped his paws together, striking the ground hard afterwards. The young Alchemist used the ground minerals to transmute raw bedrock underneath his feet, and after the alchemic reaction was complete, he was standing on a six-foot high chunk of the stuff, well out of the way of Envy - at least for now. It would probably be easy for the homonculus to jump up onto...
When the unforgettable voice reached his sensitive hearing, he pricked his ears high over his head, his expression one of surprise - how did he get here? Under normal circumstances, Alphonse would have happily greeted his brother, maybe even launched himself at him for a hug. Especially after being apart for an extended period of time.
This time there was none of that, however.
"What are you doing, brother?!" He stood high on the rock and called out to his older sibling, his tone of voice sounding quite upset. "You're going to mess up everything! Get out of here, I need to fix this!"

Damn.. thwarted... but not for long. Envy was about ready to jump for Alphonse when he too heard and saw Edward coming at them. A malicious grin on his face as he changed his target.
Edward didn't stop as he continued running for his brother, only to happen upon the edge of the rug. "You don't need to fix anything! This has all just been a misunderstanding!" He then saw Envy looking in his direction and backed up onto the rug, only to look down... What the? Eyes widened when he recognized that transmutation circle, "Al! What the hell are you trying to- AH!"
It was then that Envy had lept for Edward and knocked him flat upon the rug, holding down the smaller alchemist. Would Alphonse dare try anything with his brother AND the homunculus on his circle?

"Misunderstanding?" Alphonse called out to Edward from his place atop the rock. "Which part, brother? You know the situation as well as I do now. You have your own adventures, you have to lead your own life now, brother! And what about Lily? After you woke up, she said I was welcome in your new room - 'today'. She didn't want me around after that by the sounds of it... she obviously doesn't want me around either! And then, well--" He stopped speaking abruptly and pinned his ears back as far as they would go when Envy pounced down on Edward.
"Let go of my brother!!" The yell was angry and demanding. Alphonse sprang down off the rock, wings flared out, aiming to sail down and tackle him.
