No success. Something had to be terribly wrong with him to have drawn so many that weren't his kind. Maybe he and Tawali were the only other Winds in this whole area, or that's what he thought briefly.
No, rumors had spread of other Winds flying about in this realm. That was why he was here, was it not? Of course, no one would ever suspect, save his rival, that he had flown the coop before they could issue the banishment.
He laid in the tall grass of the plain lands, his black and white sings spread out to catch as much of the sun as he could. His black markings glistened with sweat as he flicked his tail to keep bugs away. What a boring summer this had been.

A dark shadow swooped over Wild Wind.
Quite a high distance above him, a paint mare flew. She seems to have spotted him, for with a delicate flick of her wings, she changes her flight pattern, but she makes for a point of landing a little bit father from him than proper politeness would admit.
She alighted quietly, her hooves hovering over the group for several long seconds before she drops down, light as a sparrow. The curly-haired paint glances around toward him with bright blue eyes tinged - just a little - with apprehension. She doesn't appear to be budging from her point of landing. The young mare is quite still, save for her ears, which twitch back and forth restlessly, radar to the world around.

He had followed the shadow on the ground closely. It seemed too large to be a normal bird, and hopefully wasn't his annoying bond, Omani'ceta. But when he saw it was a Wind, at that a Wind mare, he couldn't help feeling like he had finally proven his own depressing thoughts wrong.
His bicolored eyes watched her closely and when she made no move to draw nearer, he pushed himself onto his hooves and slowly ambled over towards her."I thought my rival and myself were the only Winds in this realm. It's a pleasure to see another of the breed."
He halted in his stride, giving her enough space as was polite even if he wanted to draw close and take a closer look at this mare."M'name's Wild Wind."
