I hope the NaNo site gets up to speed soon. It takes forever to get there not to mention use the forums.

Unfortunately when things smooth out in the second or third week of November that usually means that tons of people have given up on their novel.

I wish they would use some other outside forum server at least. Something like vBulletin or InvisionFree.

I just spent half an hour waiting for the site to accept my log in and now it is taking forever to get to the forums. scream

On another note I don't see why they beg for so much money. Especially when it comes to the site itself. There are places that will host a site for free and definately plenty of free forums where you don't even have to own your own server that can crash during a rush.

Drop the laptop loaners and all the grants and community stuff and it is really just a free event for both sides.
