She liked to visit every now and then.

She did, really. But it upset her. When she had been a cub, the forest had already started suffering, but not so terribly like it was now. It was so dry, and as the small lioness, small even for a mistweaver, wandered through the forest, she tried to recall running around and just playing, having fun. She and Swaii had moved more towards the outskirts, as they were better off than in the center, but still not great.

She was heading towards the cave they'd once lived. But not really to get in it, mostly because she wanted to see what'd become of the lake. However, as she approached, she didn't find the lake. She found something more along the lines of a..

A pond. A smallish pool. Kimaji sighed. How could this happen? It wasn't fair. Why wouldn't the forest just go back to normal?! What was rain? Would rain really help? The tiny female sighed as she flopped onto a rock, staring at what remained of the lake she'd grown up with. Why did it have to be like this?

A tan ear flicked, and a head soom followed. "Hmm?"

The tan goddess had been out exploring again, getting herself fully comfortable with the new area that Kizuka had taken her to. Sure, it was the birthplace of her cubs and she had been here for some time, but she still wanted to make herself familiar with these lands. Even if they still were mostly dead.

But she caught the sound of something close, and decided to investigate without too much cautions. She hadn't seen the need to be too careful, not yet anyway. She peeked out around some trees to see quite a familiar face.

"Kimaji!"

Kimbilio wasn't sure just what his mother was doing, but as long as she was okay with it....he would try to be okay with it as well. Besides, everything that his mother did was just perfect in his eyes. He loved her loooots. Scurrying near her side, his heart stopped for a moment when she froze, but she seemed to recover fast.

"Mama?" he asked, not knowing what she was doing, or even where she was going. His dark-tipped wings ruffled as he bounced after her, only to hear her yell out a word he did not know. "Mama, what's going on?"

When he looked, he saw a very pretty lioness in front of them. A silver colour like he hadn't really seen, not even on fish. She seemed nice enough, but he didn't know who she was at all. A friend of Mother? She must be. He stared at her, large golden eyes studying her carefully as he hid behind his mother's foreleg, only for his bottom half to peek out on the other side.

At first, Kimaji hadn't bothered to look. She'd deemed it to be Swaii looking for her. usually she'd quickly reply to him, but she didn't when she wasn't very happy. But soon her mind registered the voice as different. But not a strange different.

She lifted her gaze a bit, and then finally her whle head, for a bit still wearing a small frown, but it quickly seemed to flip upwards into a smile. she knew this one. "Momo! You came back! " she squeaked, scrabbling on the rock a bit and sliding clumsly to the ground. She hadn't seen Momo since she was a cub! She'd often thought about the goddess, and was rather glad she was seeing her again. She mannaged to keep herself from crashing into her, but with a skid, raising dust-- which she was rather surprised at. It used to be mud, so near the water.

"Kimaji missed you! " She squeaked, and at first didn't notice Momo had a pair of hind legs sprouting out from behind her foreleg, but when she did, she tilted her head in confusioun, unsure of what this what. "Momo has new legs. " She said.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 05, 2007 3:40 pm

"Oooh, Kimaji," Momo stated warmly, as if it were another hello. She was so pleased to see that the cub she knew was still around helthy...and quite grown! Perhaps she wasn't as large as a normal full grown lioness, but that didn't mean that she was unhealthy at all. She pushed her son out a bit and sat herself down, smiling as she heard the little protests of her child. "No, just a little cub. My, I have so much to tell you....I have to admit, much has happened since I've seen you last time, Kimaji."

She did not lose her warm tone, for she didn't want to worry her kind friend. She didn't deserve it at all, and though she'd tell her some things, there were others she'd never tell Kizuka, not Kimaji.

---

Whaaa? Kimbi was startled when his mother pushed him out from under her to stand in front of the lioness in front of them. Sure, maybe she was smaller then Kizuka, but she was still bigger then Kimbi! He shivered a bit, looking up to her carefully. He reallyreally hoped she was nice now.

"H-hi," he started, studdering through the two-lettered greeting. "I-I'm K-kimbilio." There, he introduced himself. Hopefully Mother wouldn't ask for more then that from him!

"Cub? " Kimaji seemed confused as the tiny god was pushed into view, and managd to hold back a squeak but.. Damn, that was pretty adorable. Al llittle and fuzzy with wings! When Kimaji had been a cub, she'd met cubs. But she had never met cubs as she was now, so now they looked a lot.. cuter.

"Hi! " She said in response to the cub, and crouched so that she was in eye level. "Are you cold? " She tilted her head, noticing his stutter. Maybe he was cold! Well. Not much to be cold about here, but still. "Where did Momo get a cub? " Well, Swaii had obviously lacked to explain the 'birds and the bees'.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 05, 2007 4:56 pm

"Ummmm." Momo didn't know how to explain where the cub came from. DId Kimaji not know? "Well, I've been carrying him around for a while?" Well, obviously Momo didn't mature from everything her experience had put her through. "But yeah, that's my kid! I have...toomanyothersaswell." She rushed the last of her words, embarassed that she still had such a large litter. 7 was waaaaay too many kids, especially for a single mother.

---

Kimbi blinked up at Kimaji's blue eyes, feeling...better. More relaxed. She did seem nice! He shook his head shyly, his eyes averting back down to his paws. He swayed around a bit before peeking back up at her again. "I'm not cold. I get shyyyy."

He took one step away from his mother towards Kimaji, but paused before taking another one. "How do you know Mama?" He really reeeeeally wanted to know, so he should ask, right? He didn't notice the little wince from his mother, Momo probably embarassed that he was asking outright. But that didn't matter to him. This little silver lioness is was mattered at this right moment.

"Ooh! Can Kimaji meet them sometime? " Kimaji had started to restrain from talking in third person so much, but she did it still. She'd gotten used to it. She looked back at Kimbi, though, holding back a giggle as he swayed, and then perking a bit as he asked a question.

"I met Momo when I was a bit smaller than you! " She said, indicating with her paw a height perhaps a bit lower than the base of his ears. "And Momo let Kimaji borrow her necklace a bit, but it was too big. Then we flew! " See. Now that was one thing she wouldn't forget-- ever. It kind of saddened her, though, to imagine that she probably couldn't do it again. while Kimaji was small, she was stil lfar too big to go flying again, unless some huge god showed up and decided to give her a ride. But that was unlikely.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 05, 2007 5:18 pm

Momo smiled warmly again. "Yes, I'd be happy to have you meet all of them. I'm sure that they would like you very much. Kimbi here is the shyest of them all, and some of them are such a pawful!" She laughed as he turned her attention back down to her youngest, nudging him to keep him from clamming up too much and not talking. Silly, how he was the shyest of them all. The rest just seemed ready to take on the world.

---

Kimbi's eyes widened when he heard the word 'flew.' "Woooooow," he said, amazed. "I can't fly yet, I really wanna..." he seemed upset, but still fascinated. His tail flopped behind him as he tried to imagine what flying was like. His mother couldn't really explain it well, since she couldn't remember what it was like to not fly. His gold eyes stared off into space for a moment as he thought about flying as hiiiigh as he could. Which probably wouldn't happen, since everything seemed to startle him so easily. Besides, he could just as easily be afraid of heights when he was finally able to fly.

He crawled a bit closer to Kimaji, sitting just in front of her. He looked at her obediantly, curious, his shyness melting away with every moment. "Was it fun?"

"Ooh! What're their names? " She asked, but got once again distracted by Kimbi, and smiled. "Yeah! It was great, I could see a lot! " she nodded smartly, and tilted her head. He couldn't fly yet? Ooh.. So gods were like birds!

"Well, maybe you can learn! " Kimaji nodded, and looked around, pondering. "Maybe you can practice like baby birds do! " There weren't many birds around anymore, though. She hadn't seen a baby in a while. "Only you don't go in trees.. " She brought a paw to her chin and tapped it a bit. "I know! " She got up, and started to run, around, looking rather dorky and jumping about. "Do.. This! " She exclaimed, continuing her crazy run. "Only.. flap your.. wings! When you jump! " It was perhaps silly, a wingless lioness trying to help a young god learn how to fly, but Kimaji had never had a sense of how ridiculous she could look.

Mo'onasi was just about to wrangle her brain for the names of her seven cubs until she really realized just what Kimaji was telling her young son to do.

Kimbi watched the mortal lioness with fascination, his eyes never leaving the silver lioness. "Woooah." Was it really that easy? His stomache turned a bit as he got back up on all four of his paws. He hoped that it wouldn't hurt too much, but he really should try!

"Kimbi...uhhh.."

He didn't really hear his mother, just knew that she was watching. He really should pay a bit more attention to his mother, though. He scurried after Kimaji, jumping up as high as he could and flapping his wings. He got...no where, though.

"Hooawwwww...." he whimpered, pooped out. "Kimaaaa, that didn't work. I'm too small."

"Aww. " Kimaji frowned, stopping and thinking a bit. "Maybe you're wings need to get a bit bigger. Btu I dunno how that works. " she shrugged. After all, they were extremely different. He had wings, she didn't. He was a god, too.

"You could still practice though? " She offered a small smile, if only to cheer him up. "Then maybe it'll be easier when you get bigger! " She nodded slightly, then looked back at Momo, shrugging slightly. How did one teach a god how to fly? Then she remembered the names, and grinned meekly at Momo. She'd forgot to wait for an answer!
PostPosted: Fri Oct 05, 2007 6:24 pm

Momo laughed at the pair of them, loving their little moment they just had. So strange, but it pleased her to see Kimaji again. That must be why she was so happy. "Haha, well, here's Kimbilio. Then there's Ku'i Ku'oko'a, Aharu'kai, Ekundu Maji, Amisha, Abayomi, and Kituko. Whew. Quite the lot, huh?"

Her tail flopped behind her, thinking about the bundle of them in the cave. Well, they better be in the cave. Sure, Love was normally sweet, but Love could have a mean side too. It was all in their protection though!

"How have you been, Kimaji? It's been quiiiite a while since I've seen you!"

---

Kimbi sniffled back some tears before wiggling back to his mother, feeling veeery embarassed at this point. Why was it so hard to fly? Was there like...some magical thing he had to do to fly? He never really felt the huge urge to fly before, but now he really wanted to. Kimaji made sure of that.

He huffed, skirting around Kimaji before watching her again. He wasn't angry, only wished that her helping really did let him fly. "Thanks for tryin' ta help me..." He shuffled a forepaw in the dirt in front of him. "I'll get super good at flying and show you sometime, though."

"wow. " She blinked, that was a lot. She flicked her tail and looked at Kimbi a bit, wondering. She didn't have siblings as far as she knew. What was it like to have siblings? And they had a mom, Momo. Kimaji didn't have a mom. She sighed slightly, but held back her sadness. Sometimes Kimaji did feel like she was missing out on quite a bit.

"I been good. Me an' Swaii had to move, though. Here was too dry, and he isn't good at hunting. " She was no wonder either. Because of her size, combined with the fact that Kimaji was rather weak, she couldn't take down stuff much larger than very small types of antelopes like dikdiks. "We used to live up there. " She rolled onto her back a bit, to look up at one of the mountains and point at it.

She smiled and Kimbi though. "I'm sure you will! " She nodded smartly. "And then you can fly wherever you want! "
PostPosted: Fri Oct 05, 2007 6:40 pm

"Oh?" Momo looked concerned. Perhaps the lack of food had stunted her friend's growth? She didn't want to intrude too much, especially since she just up and left and hadn't been back to visit Kimaji since. She didn't want the little silver lioness to feel any worse then she probably already did. "Sure, but hopefully the rains will come back and the pair of you will return to your home?" She hoped to plant the seeds of hope in her friend. There was always the possibility that it would rain. Whether she would still be here when that happened...was something that she was unsure of.

"If you ever need food, please ask, Kimaji. I am still weak, but perhaps between the two of us we could try to get something good?"

---

Kimbi watched the two of them talking about things that were way over his little cubby head. All this talk about eating and rain and home...he had them all! Well, no rain. But whatever that is, he didn't need it! He was happy! Even if his sibilings got to be a bit too much at times. Oh, what he wouldn't give to be Mama's only son. Then he would have her all to himself.

He was off in dreamland, not paying any attetion to the adults and what they were talking about. This dream land could be so nice at times.

"Yeah, rain.. " Kimaji said a bit distantly. Rain. She didn't even know what it was like, but she'd started to dislike it. She wanted it, but she didn't like it. She didn't want to need it. She was angry at it, whatever it was, for having deserted them. Kimaji was a fully grown lioness(well, not size-wise) and.. she'd never seen rain. Not once.

"Noo! kimaji doesn't wanna be trouble. " She nodded, smiling at momo and forgetting about the rain. "kimaji can help Swaii now. " She nodded smartly, even though she wasn't that much help in a hunt. She tilted her head slightly at Kimbi, though, pondering what he was thinking aobut, but decided not to stare, and busied herself with pawing at a leaf.
