Small Favor
Harry Dresden's life finally seems to be calming down. The White Council's war with the vampiric Red Court has entered a period of detente, no one's tried to kill him in nearly a year, and the worst problem he'd had lately is working out how to remove the stains his apprentice bungled into his carpeting. The future looks fairly bright.
Unfortunately, the past isn't nearly so optimistic. An old bargain placed Harry in debt to Mab, monarch of the Winter Court of the Sidhe, the Queen of Air and Darkness - and it's time for an accounting. Dresden still owes the Winter Queen of the Faerie two favours, and it's time to pay one of them off. It's a small favour that he really can't refuse, but it will trap Dresden between a nightmarish foe and an equally deadly ally, stretching his skills and loyalties to their very limits. It figures. Everything was going too well to last.

... He might lose some?
Eh, even if it's not as good as Dead Beat, or Proven Guilty, I'll still probably keep reading the series. His books are better than most kinds of fiction I come across.

The fall out of Lash must be felt here. Maybe Harry will even miss him? And what about that whole thing that Harry was born under events that gives him power over the outsiders? Do you reckon that will affect things?

Persoanlly, I enjoyed White Night.
Anyway, I think it's going to be light on the power against the outsiders. I think Butcher is going to give that one a few books for us to forget about it, then start in again. I'm hoping he passes of the Sword sometime soon...

OK, without saying anything about the plot, this is WELL worth the wait! I'm about halfway through (it's been out for a week in the UK, yes it snuck past us all!) and I think White Night was just a small blip - Butcher is back on top form and you won't want to put it down!
Go and buy it NOW!!! Its so good! heart heart heart
ps - bear in mind the words 'hells bells!' - you'll be saying it a lot as you read it!

So. Very. Pumped!!
I'm an hour away from my workday ending, and then about a half hour to get to the bookstore after that. Now, do I bother to spend time with friends this evening, since I'm going to be reading regardless? Hmmm....
