Blood Rites
For Harry Dresden, Chicago's only professional wizard, there have been worse assignments than going undercover on the set of an adult film. Dodging flaming monkey poo, for instance. Or going toe-to-leaf with a walking plant monster. Still, there's something more troubling than usual about his newest case. The film's producer believes he's the target of a sinister entropy curse --- but it's the women around him who are dying, in increasingly spectacular ways.
Harry's doubly frustrated because he got involved with this bizarre mystery only as a favor to Thomas, his flirtatious, self-absorbed vampire acquaintance of dubious integrity. Thomas has a personal stake in the case Harry can't quite figure out, until his investigation leads him straight to Thomas's oversexed vampire family. Harry's about to discover that Thomas's family tree has been hiding a shocking secret: a revelation that will change Harry's life forever.

Yup, this really did change his life forever. Who knew that his mother had had another child with the White King no less! Poor kingy too, becoming the mind slave to his daughter.

He deserved it, methinks. Making all his daughters his own personal sex slaves, and killing his sons... That guy really is pretty dang bad. Although I don't know if his daughter is much better...

I completely agree that he deserved it but that doesn't make it any less disgusting. I don't think Laura is any better but I bet she at least tells her new family members what they are instead of hiding it from them and I know she cares for tomas more than their father did.

The reveal that Thomas was his brother was just great. The impact it had on Dresden's character, and on the series as a whole, was fantastic. I completly didn't see that comming, which was even better!

I LOVE Thomas!!!!! I love it when he stops all the...well you know. But a few books after he starts up again. But in that book in the end when Thomas is leaving Harry scrows up the body guards ear peacies and Thomas smiles!!!!! Love him!!!!!
