Beetje late nachtwacht vandaag en vanmiddag komt er nog een specialtje op de site. Waar haalt Stefan de tijd vandaan? Goeie vraag want dat specialtje had er gisteren al op moeten staan! Oh, oh, oh, het enige sterke punt van de webredactie was dat ze zich meestal wel aan deadlines hielden, in tegenstelling tot de redactie van een bepaald gamesblad. Das war mal..


Nog meer oorlog!
Degenen onder jullie die klaar zijn met Total War en toch nog graag middeleeuwse battles uitvechten zijn misschien wel geïnteresseerd in de game XIII Century. Inderdaad: een strategy game waarin je met middeleeuwse units andere legers van het bord veegt. Check hier de nieuwe site van het spel! De game komt waarschijnlijk begin 2008 uit.



Sony loog!
Voor Sony is de backward compatibility geen issue meer. Ray Maguire van Sony Groot-Brittannië heeft de volgende verklaring afgelegd. “Deze kerst hebben we ongeveer 65 games in de PS3-bibliotheek. Er is keuze genoeg, dus het geld dat we eerst in backward compatibility zouden stoppen, kunnen we beter gebruiken om in nieuwe games te investeren of de prijs van de PS3 omlaag te brengen.” Uhm Sony, jullie weten toch nog wel dat jullie belóófd hebben hebban dat alle PS1- en PS2-titels op de PS3 gespeeld zouden kunnen worden? Vinden jullie het erg? Of spelen jullie PS2-games net zo lief op oudere consoles?



Halo-film? Nee…
De man die eigenlijk de Halo-film moest regisseren, Neill Blomkamp, kwam laatst ineens met deze filmpjes, hier even achter elkaar gezet, op de proppen. Neill Blomkamp zegt nog maar eens en keer dat dit promotiemateriaal is voor Halo 3, en dat de fragmenten geen jota met de Halo 3-film te maken hebben. Want: de film is dood. Schijnbaar wilde Peter Jackson even de verkoop van Halo 3 afwachten voordat hij definitief zou beslissen. Aangezien Halo 3 een superkaskraker is, is er nog een beetje hoop! Het blijft trouwens erg grappig om een live-action Halo-verhaal te zien. Alleen leven die mariniers als ik speel altijd een stuk minder lang…



Halo-film? Nee…
Tenminste, wel een filmpje wat ermee te maken heeft maar natuurlijk niks over een bioscoopfilm. Ken je die gast die het Zanzibar-level uit Halo namaakte in Lego? Nou, hier zie je hem! Wel grappig dat ie zo’n vet ding bouwt en dan vervolgens gaat lopen zeiken over de stukjes die niet helemaal zijn gelukt… Wat een a** ben je dan! Maar verder is het wel tof, ook al moet je ongelooflijk vrijgezel zijn om hiermee weg te komen!



Halo-film? Nee…
Bungie werkt aan een nieuwe Halo-game die ook iets met Peter Jackson te maken heeft! Hmmm, die zou in eerste instantie toch de film maken? Nou ja, doet er niet toe… Bungie blijft eigendom van Microsoft en zal exclusief games maken voor de Xbox 360. Een tijdje geleden was er namelijk sprake van dat Bungie Microsoft zou verlaten… Dat is dus helemaal niet zo, Bungie krijgt ‘creatieve vrijheid’. Dat betekent ongeveer dat ze weer een game mogen maken die ze zelf willen maken, en niet meer per se met Halo bezig hoeven te zijn. Totdat Microsoft zegt dat ze dat wèl weer moeten doen, maar dat spreekt voor zich.
