We are currently looking for "teachers" to start classes. We are offerering anywhere between 500g - 1500g per class/discussion (we can/will raise/lower the payment range if we deem it necessary). The exact amount will of course depend on the depth and quality of the class/discussion. To be able to receive payment your class/discussion will have to be approved of by a mod. This is so that random members don't think they can just make a thread with "hey, lets talk about auras" and then expect to get payment for that. If you are interested and would like more details, either post here or send me a PM. Note to all new 'teachers': You will not receive payment for your class right away. We can't determine a fair price until we see at least the first two lessons to see how in-depth your class is and how much interest it sparks! Again, please be patient! We'll really appreciate it. I've noticed that a lot of our 'teachers' in The Academy subforum have stopped 'teaching' since they received their payment. Now, I know some of you have a good excuse, but I also know that some of you don't.
So, all of the people who didn't stop 'teaching' after receiving payment will be receiving a second payment.
I'm really disappointed in the ones who started a class knowing they would stop after receiving payment (you know who you are, and please, save yourself the trouble of denying it, it won't change anything). I always thought highly of our guild members, but you guys have tainted that. Thanks a lot.
Edit: Note to all teachers who haven't been paid yet... This not is for the teachers of the following classes: Tarot Archangels Chaos Magick Wands
You will only receive payment after I've seen enough of your class to be able to determine your payment. So far the only class on this list that is anywhere close to receiving payment is the wands class.

Just a quick note - assuming you mean my class by the Wands class - please, don't pay me. Hang onto that gold, give it to teachers who are around more than me, save it for the 50k post party, whatever. I have to much gold already. XD

I would be interested in teaching any one of a number of topics. If I could find out what is needed, I could better tell you what qualifies me. In general, I have been studying for over 20 years. I am a 3rd Degree Initiate and HPS of a lineaged coven, though I have been a Solitary for the past 10 years of my life. If you need more information regarding specific philosophy or interests... we can follow up.
Oh yes, I am also an educator in real life, if that matters much. I have a degree in Communication and until this term, I was teaching several Communication classes and coaching the Speech & Debate team.

I'd like to help smile I'm thinking of starting a class on the Moon, which would cover things such as the moon through zodiac signs, eclipses, phases, apogee and perigee, full moon effects etc.
I'm also considering starting a Feng Shui class...

I need to do some more research and a little more hands on experience, but in about a month I'd like to teach a "Candle Magick" class.

I'd like to help however I don't have one specific thing I'd like to teach, as I learn more each day, I suppose I could talk about astral projection, but really there isn't much to it. Perhaps theres a way I could help other teachers? Come up with lesson plans or perhaps come up with cute "homework" like riddles and what not. Besides If I had a class I'd want people to actually to submit homework so I could make sure everyone taking the class understood what I was talking about. I have magical cooking, and incense certs if thats any help...

Well, several of the 'teachers' give their 'students' homework, such as in the astrology class, the meditation class, the numerology class, etc.
So it would be okay for you to give students homework, just as long as it isn't too much work for them to do.
Whatever you want to teach is fine, just as long as it's not already an active class (which are the threads that are stickied).

I think there's been enough activity in the main forum about shielding and energy that I would like to teach a class on that. There's so much one could do with energy that it just wouldn't be a shielding class. Would this be possible? And if so, do I just make a topic about it in this subforum and then you guys make it a sticky, right?

3nodding That's correct... you make the thread, I'll sticky it.
Just make sure that you read the guidelines on creating threads in the sub-forum greetings thread (located right below this thread) before making a thread.
Thank you. smile

Yeah, I did that already. I'll do it again and check out some other classes for some examples. I can't make the post(s) now--I don't have much time. But I'll do it later! biggrin
