My fellow Guildies:
I may be scarce on Gaia for a week or two, my computer decided to take up smoking.
That is, smoke coming out of my laptop. It can be fixed, but it'll be a while before I have a computer again.
So, if you don't see me around, know I'm thinking of the fun I'm missing xD

Sadly smoking computers never do well on the patch or the gum. They apparently lack mouths to chew the gum and shoving gum into the cd rom drive isn't advisable.
You will be missing, though when I saw the topic of this thread I was worried it would be for much longer. The heads up is good though because you do an incredible amount of work around the guild and always have something interesting to say. You'll be missed, but hopefully after your Laptop has gone through the Betty Ford center it will be back up to par.

Computers and smoke are never a good thing! Then again nor are sleep deprevation and college projects. xd I've experienced the latter, but no matter I still understand. Take care and we look forward to hearing from you when you return. heart

They did a really good job of fixing it. They even fixed my broken-for-years 'windows' key, and cleaned m "so-dirty-it-was-embarrassing" screen. biggrin
Let it never be said that Gateway has poor tech/warranty service, because they don't!
