so I had summer homework in photography, and decided my trip to italy was a perfect chance to get neat pictures. some people liked them, but I am unsure if it's just because it's the subject matter is all italy which they never usually see or because certain cencepts make the image appealing, you know? gonk

I love the first one, it looks like your actually standing on a roof somewhere (which, if you were leaning out of a window, probably wasn't too far from the truth anyways)
I like the lines made by the gondolas in the second one, and the blue adds a nice touch
The third one is beautiful subject matter but I think you could've done more with the structure and the lines, because as is it seems very straight-on
The fourth one is...well I like the structure, but idk, the way it's taken makes me think that the dog is dead lol gonk

I do understand what you mean with the Duomo, I found myself in a position where I was trying to bring out the intricacy (sp?) of the building but not just be all "omg i looked up lol" and wanted to include all sorts of different shapes into the frame
And I don't take pictures of dead dogs crying
Thank you!

I think it was just the setting of the photograph
There's not really any warmth in the photo and the dog's eyes look sad, so it seems like a melancholy situation I guess

It would be a rather creepy photo to have around. Even creepier if you have multiple.
