Koritana lay on her back, belly up to the sun, her eyes closed, glasses pushed high on her nose so they blocked the most light. The sun glinted on her necklace, warmed her cream coat. As content as she was in the warm light, she missed her mate. "Adieu..."

It seemed like it had been ages since Adieu had been outside the prides lands but now as an adult it meant she had to take on more duties for the pride. For her it meant hunting as she had been trained to hunt by her uncles and step-father as a teen so now she was expected to help find food for the pride. Usually that meant team hunting but today she was out on her own and searching the grasslands for something other than prey. She just hoped the lioness she was looking for wasn't too far off.

Eyes still closed, Kori whipped her tail about, the feathers like a tiny flag over the golden grass. Not far off she new Songstress and the rest of her females were indulging in a little sport, but she could not bring herself to join them.
She just wanted her mate.. Her poor, sweet, delicate little Adieu... She so wanted to be curled around that gentle, young female... Wanted a life with her...
But Adieu served her pride with a loyalty Kori seldom found. It touched her, made her adore her little mate all the more...
"Adieu, my dearest Adieu.. Where are you?" She murmured to the sky.

Adieu was surprised at how quickly she found the scent she was looking for mingled with a few other females she recognized and a few she didn't. Who was with her did not matter however. Before it would have made a world of difference if a strange was around but not now. Now she was racing down the scent path doing her best to keep with it until she spotted a group of females enjoying themselves and she recognized a couple of them as her mates buddies which made her smile as she knew her mate was among them somewhere. She slowed herself down to a confident canter with her head held high and her tail too so that her tailfeathers waved like a banner behind her. Once she was within ear shot of them all she called out in a confident voice. "Having fun without me?! That hurts me way deep." She said an amused purr rumbling deep in her chest.

Lifting herself from her recline, SunRiseHope turned dancing eyes on the delicate spotted female who had so captured her dearest friend's attentions. Koritana had not joined in the games for longer than Hope dared to think, for she was mated..
Mated to the delicate and Shy Adieu. The whole group adored her. "Koritana was sitting the game out, so we didn't think you'd be interested." She teased back.
"However, Sweet Adieu, I confess if ever you truly wished to walk on the wildside... I would be more than happy to escourt you."
Laughing, Natalia lifted her head and nipped the golden sweep of Hope's rump. She shot a look at the lighter female and shook her head. "Behave Hope... Adieu, sweet Adieu.. We would indeed welcome you to the game.. But your Kori is some paces on, and not in the mood to play with us..."
She pretended to pout for a moment, then laughed, her crown marking bright against dark dancing eyes. "Perhaps you could draw her into better spirits?"

Adieu smiled at the two females. She really enjoyed spending time with them as they always proved to be so amusing and fun. At Hope's offer Adieu laughed and winked at her. "Oh you'll be the first one I call Hope." She said with a chuckle. Hearing Kori wasn't joining in on the games made Adieu happy and yet sort of sad. She knew exactly why Kori wasn't joining in on the fun and that thought warmed her. "Thanks you two. I'll go find her and see what I can do." She gave both females a mischieveious grin before she trotted on past them and began searching for Kori's scent among the others so she could pin point exactly where Kori was. "Kori, Kori. Oh where arst thou Kori. I will deny my father and love thee forever so come out so I can cuddle with ya!"
