Step, step, one two three, one two three, step, turn, bow. Yes, Resonance was practicing her dancing! Not that it was easy for a horse to dance but Resonance simply felt as though it was her duty to try the fine things in life. Ever since she'd spied the white two leggers doing such things with their fancy gowns and their delightful music, she'd decided she'd do the same. Difficult to turn with grace in such a dance when one had four legs, actually, but the stubbornness that the unicorn possessed left no room for her to admit defeat. When she'd first started, she'd been as awkward as a new foal out of the basket. Not that she'd ever admit it! The memory of coming out of that scarred her enough. She should have emerged like a delicate flower blooming upward.

But she hadn't. And nobody but her family would ever know that on pain of death!

One two three, one two three. The mare continued her movements as the moonlight was thrown down against her body, sending lights from the scales on her legs and glittering off her horn. Oh, she knew she was a sight to be seen - though her performance was less than perfect in her eyes. That was exactly the reason she was practicing in a clearing where no one was around. Couldn't let her admirers see her at anything less than superb.

"Dancing like the Gadjis, I see?" Came the soft chuckle that cut through the darkness, as a stallion emerged from the dark shadows of the trees. Although his words were phrased as a question, it was basically a statement. "I suppose.. as luck would have it, I would have to be the one to stumble upon a mare dancing in the moonlight." As Rohan tipped his head to side, His lips curving into a amused smile. He had been residing in the area for a few weeks now, But he had never seen or met a mare who imitated the ways of the Gadji.. or anyone remotely similar to the mare's appearance.

The mare before him, shone like no other. Her pelt was black, that would have blended in the darkness if not for the scales on her legs and horn that shone brightly, as they reflected the light from the moonlight. Her mane and tail unlike his were decorated, similar to how the gadji's decorated their jewelry. Her teal eyes lent her an elegant but aloof appearance. Obviously, she was of different breeding and orgin, than the other soquilis that Rohan usually encountered.

"And all of her accessories are unnecessary." Rohan discerned silently. He didn't understand why Gadji chose to burden themselves with excessive and useless objects, and responsibilities.. And it appeared that soquilis were following in their footsteps.

"What might I owe the pleasure of this sight to, Mademoiselle?" Giving her a slight bow, As slightly curious eyes were raised before her, assessing her.. activities. "I must admit.. What might one be doing out alone, this late at night?"

The voice would have caused any commoner to stop - but Resonance was no commoner and would not let her surprise be shown. Instead, she continued her practiced movements, as awkward as they were, to show she had no shame in what she did. To show shame was to be shameful and admit imperfection! Tsk, definitely not befitting of one of Resonance's caliber.

"Indeed," she answered, not admitting she had no idea what 'gadjis' were, "And luck is yours, indeed, for you to set eyes upon me." She turned her head just momentarily to flash him a smile before doing one of those complicated turns and bowing again. Thankfully, she didn't trip over her feet this time.

Res didn't answer the question until the music had finished playing in her head and she stood perfectly still. Well, not too bad for a night of practice - but she'd have to practice harder to be as graceful as the two legged ladies. Again, not that she'd admit it. Finally her attention was graced upon Rohan, "I simply had a whim." Simple enough, no? Resonance was one to follow her whims.

Amused by the mare's determination, Rohan could only stare at the mare with an amused expression upon his face. Clearly, the mare was devoted to her dancing.. Even if she could use some work. But it wasn't bad. Not that he had great authority or experience on the subject.. but fairly enough.

As the mare momentarily flashed him a smile, Rohan could see that this mare certainly lacked no self-confidence.. But than again, She could afford to to act the way she did. Her smile was stunning.. He would have probably been entranced at the sight of her smile, if he hasn't already been immune to feminine wiles, and trickery. "A whim?" As he raised an eyebrow. "If I may say so.. One does not spend a great deal of practice on dancing, if it was simply a whim like you say, milady." He remarked a bit smugly.

"I would ask if it's dangerous for a mare like yourself to be out alone at this time of night.." He said, with a thoughtful expression.. "But you'd probably bedazzle all of the stallions into doing your bidding.." He concluded with a contrived sigh.

"Anyways. What are you doing out here by yourself?" He inquired. "You don't often see mares with noble upbringing in these parts, afterall."

"Who said I was practicing?" Resonance answered easily, tossing her head and making the braids in her hair fly back and away from her face. They were annoying, sometimes, but what mares sacrificed for beauty...Well, Resonance wasn't an exception. Like hell, as well, that the mare was going to admit to practicing something that should come easily and naturally! At least, that's how she saw it. Perhaps it would wipe the smug smile off the stallion's face.

"A horn, dear one, makes as good a weapon as it makes an instrument of healing. I fear none, for none would dare touch something of such magnificence lest they soil their own bodies and bring down the wrath of the gods." Ooh, ego on this one? Understatement of the year, it seemed, considering she was saying she was worthy of a god's intervention should someone attack her.

"As for why I'm here, it is my right to be wherever I wish, is it not?" Another flashed smile, "Tonight, this place called to me. That is all."

"And who said you weren't?" He countered back, with a challenging answer of his own. But than again.. Mares. To figure out their logic of thinking would make any stallion baffled. If anyone asked Rohan, It was better not to associate with them at all, if one wanted to lead a simple life.. But many stallions could not do without a mare. That was the start of their trouble.. As he heaved a small sigh. Luckily.. he had not fallen prey to that idiocy called 'love.'

In reply to her conceited answer, "Blessed by the gods, are we?" He said, with feigned surprise. "I'm surprised that a mere mortal like me, has the honor to meet.." As he debated the right word continue on ".. such a wonderful deity with such a humble nature." His tone slightly mocking. Here, he thought that alicorns and unicorns alike were supposed to be graceful, and elegant with a compassionate nature. Apparently, This one proved the rumor wrong on both accounts.

But it wasn't smart to start a fight between a stranger at a first meeting.. Even if it could have proved enjoyable. "Easy, easy." Chuckling at her provoking words. "I'm not trying to start to start a feud if you're not." His voice pleasant enough.

"Touché," the mare said with a smirk. Not many would counter her, as she'd come to realize in her time on earth. Truly, most stallions lost their tongues about her and became babbling idiots. Of course they would, though. She was beautiful! But really, that was beside the point at the current moment. He was mocking her, now, and she didn't much appreciate it. Didn't mean she'd show anger - most unbecoming of her to do so.

"I never said I was blessed by the gods, stallion, you twist my words to suit your own need to mock. I did never call myself a deity, either. Perhaps you should learn to tune your ears to hear something other than you would like." she paused, canting her head to the side and allowing her light colored braids to flop over her face, "I was not attempting to start a feud, either, as none of my words were of the attacking nature. You are the one, dear stallion, who began mocking me with no provocation. I simply...answered your questions, calmly and politely. And, mind you, with a smile."

It wasn't her fault he took it a different way, was it? Not at all. Silly stallion.

"Sarcastic, aren't we?" His tone wry. Bloody Hell. This mare frustruated him to no end, that he wanted to grind his teeth. But he wouldn't give her the satisfaction of seeing him do so.. No doubt the mare would take endless pleasure in seeing his displeasure, Being the privileged princess she was.

And even worse.. This little chit was accusing him for the provoking words? One could see that this mare certainly didn't allow herself any blame for her problems but shifted it upon another.. like a child. Dear god, Of all soquilis, Did he need to encounter this one? But.. one would have to deal with the obstacles thrown in his path if one wanted to succeed. Shrugging at the mare's impertinent attitude, he found himself staring at the mare before him.. Studying his options before carefully replying. "What else would one call you? Especially if one was worthy of a god's help.." His voice smooth, as he continued on, "Unless you consider yourself a monk.. But I don't see your head shaved bald." Pausing, to let his words sink in. "Which is clearly not the case, as you should know. But than there is the other case.. Where one themselves are celestial beings.. called deities, are they not?" The expression on his face, relatively innocent.

But his attitude changed quickly enough,"Clamly and politely, my a**." He murmured softly enough, that the mare couldn't hear. With a defeated sigh.. He didn't have the time or patience to deal with the mare's nonsense. It would have been a waste of time, if he continued to stay. "Unlike some soquilis, I don't have the time for such whimsical activities, So I think I shall leave you.." His emerald eyes glancing skeptically at the mare, ".. to your dancing if you wish to continue."
