Satellite faltered, unsure of whether or not to take another step. She'd smelled the smell of a border... She was very near to someone else's territory. She lifted a lip with displeasure; normally the wolfess wouldn't dare cross into a territory, but... She as just plain sick of wandering. Being a loner was not good; heaven knew. It only ever hurt a wolf, it was harder to catch prey, there was no leader... So purposeless a life, in Satellite's mind.
So with a light snarl she continued on, agitated only at herself. She wanted to meet the alpha of the territory and know whether or not she needed to high-tail it. Sick of the uneasiness she'd felt since she had meandered near the lands, she let out a howl, long, pure, and deep, trying to summon out whatever pack members may be near this edge of the new lands. She would not take another step until she'd talked with someone to make sure she wasn't going to get killed; that was the absolute last thing Satellite wanted. She fiddled with her bracelets as she waited.

The alpha couldn't help but anwser the silent call of the lone wanderer. It was as if this was something that she had been waiting for all day. Twist though would never call back- that wasn't her style. The wolfess was all about appereance. So with her tail set out high and her nose touching the sky so that she would drown if it rained she set out to find her quary. Female by the voice of it- not bad considering her bland hatred of males.
Again with a quirked nose the other could easily be located in the distance. Prehaps because she smelled of human emblems- though Twist didn't know what humans were. She could still easily pick up the difference. With that she quickened her pace still holding her ranking. This one wanted to find a pack with a strong leader she remebered as she played back the message. Ah and there was none other then herself in her mind. This could be impart that her ego was squed slightly- or she was just strange in mind. But as soon as she spotted the purple wolfess she smiled warmly and with a powerful voice called out.
"'Lo"

She thought she'd heard something and Satellite rose to her feet. She'd thought she'd heard something, but when she looked, her bi-colored eyes could find nothing. Soon, though, the wolf showed herself. Satellite found herself looking on what no doubt was the alpha of these lands. Her tail dropped, but didn't tuck. She was no omega, but she also was no threat to the more dominant wolf.
"These are your lands, I assume." She stated almost coldly before continuing. "I was looking for a pack," she said, her interest piqued with the wolf whom had appeared from nowhere, "...and was wondering if you wouldn't mind me checking yours out?" She was going to stick around a bit and find out what the interesting wolf was about. She seemed like a leader, a real leader. She was short and to the point, Satellite liked that in an alpha, but nobody she'd ever met that held the title was ever that way. "My name is Satellite, by the way," she said with the slightest bow, folding her ears back. She awaited a response in silence.

Ah this wolf was polite in all the ways an underling should! Her mind seamed to dance out in sheer thought. Yet there was something veguly fimilar about this wolf. No she had never met her before; and had never once sniffed her on the wind. But she seamed to be internally hiding somthing- playing the same game Twist was. It wasn't quite hard to tell really- the storm wolf had a knack for these sorts of things.
She nodded her head accordingly not making much of a sound. Then from her maw raised a single question. "Would you die for your pack?" It was a loaded question but depending on the anwser Twist would go from there. But she really wasn't looking for a yes or no anwser; just the responce. Prehaps the momentary hesitation; an eye twitch. This was more ment to challege the others mind as to the type of leader she was then to travel anywhere in the blacks and whites a normal anwser would provide.
A slight grin spread across her maw. "Well?" She then stayed silent as her tail seamed to p***k higher then it was before.

Satellite's answer was to-the-point; just as blunt as any alpha she ever admired. "If it's worth dying for." She paused, pondering whether this would leave a good first impression if she left it at that... no, it wouldn't do. She flicked a strand of longer fur out of her eyes before she continued. "For instance, a pack with a coward for a leader, incapable of doing anything himself is not worth dying for... Nor is one where the alpha treats every wolf as if they were a stupid little pup." She paused again. No, she wouldn't be treated like a fool again. She had travelled with a male for a brief period who had treated her as if she couldn't handle the truth behind his journey, nor the plans he had. In the end, it had lost him a good hunter and a friend. Fool, Satellite scoffed at him in her mind. She simply had wanted to hint to the wolf- if something was able to be shared, she wanted to know; should she join, anyway.
"However," she continued, pulling herself from her thoughts, "I can tell from the little I know about you that this wouldn't be that kind of pack. Nor are you that kind of alpha, are you? So my ultimate answer would be yes- If I were a member of this pack, I would die for it." She concluded with a calm look at the storm-marked wolf's face, though only for a moment. At least her parents had taught her proper manners.

Her brow raised in reponce. Yes this had been the anwser the she-wolf had been looking for. "Yes you would be right to asume that. My pack might be youthful in age- but by no means do I treat them as if they puppies. Frankly though if they don't prove themselves capible I have no problems feeding them to Algoma." She made a slight innocent laugh there, adding an uneasy feeling to the conversation. "I'm not one to harbor the weak- but I will take in the sick. If you get my jest. Everyone has the chance to prove themselves to me. I will give you that chance as well. But remeber you must prove yourself of some use to me...though I think from the way you talk your quite promising."
Her tail rose again as she changed her position to a more relaxed stance. "So if you are ready I will take you to meet the others." She paused and ended her speech as if giving the other an option to follow. Though it was quite obvious she would.

As if on cue, Satellite rose to her feet shortly after the alpha. She liked the sound of this one, if there was one thing she despised over all else, it was a pack of solely weak wolves, from the bottom of the pecking order to the top. It didn't seem like she took much crap, and that alone immediately gained much of the purple wolf's respect. She quickly padded after the storm-marked wolf.
"I still don't know your name," she prompted, wanting to know that little bit of information- name of the alpha definitely. And one other thing... She would be willing to prove herself useful quickly. "I don't like sitting around idle for long, you see... Give me a task and I'll get it done. After I meet the others, of course, but what kind of 'work' did you have in mind?" Satellite's eyes tightened at the question, wondering if the darker wolf would give her the typical hunting-and-scouting, or something different... Either way, she would be content, so long as she was being put to use.
Once Satellite's respect was gained, loyalty would come quickly... And Twist was well on her way to getting it. She hadn't pledged loyalty to any other before... Finally, a purpose in her recent life.
