I like 'em. Just hope they're gonna be put to good use. They sucked in The Two Doctors.
Hope the Rutans swoop in at the end and kick their a**.

Hairy Priest I like 'em. Just hope they're gonna be put to good use. They sucked in The Two Doctors. Hope the Rutans swoop in at the end and kick their a**. They probably will seeing how Russel and Co. did brilliant jobs in reviving the Daleks, Cybermen, and the Master. The Rutans will probably appear as well. mrgreen And the Sontarans did suck in The Two Doctors.

The Daily Star released a major spoiler today(non Sonataran related) highlight to read: DOCTOR Who bosses are set to call back FOUR of the Time Lord’s favourite assistants – including Billie Piper – for a sensational showdown. The old cast members will be reunited to help the Doc fight evil Dalek creator Davros in an explosive finale to the next series.
Leading the way in the line-up will be Billie (Piper) as Rose Tyler along with the rest of the Tyler family; they will hook up with the Tardis traveller’s latest assistants Martha Jones and Donna Noble. Also on hand to help out the Doc will be his old companion Sarah Jane Smith as well as Torchwood boss Captain Jack Harkness. Even the Time Lord’s dog K-9 will make an appearance.
The TV source said: "This is the daddy of all shows. The writer Russell T Davies really wants to pull out all the stops for the finale next year."
This goes against Julie Gardener's statement that,"I'm going to tease you by telling you there is a classic monster that returns, but that's as far as I'm going to go."
I hope that this is true that episode will be made. mrgreen

God, no, I hope that spoiler isn't true. I mean it could be cool... but given RTD's current track record, I don't think they'll be able to pull it off without seeming too cheesy.
Still, a SJS vs. Davros rematch could be interesting to see, in a fan-wanky sort of way.
So they're seriously going to use Ben Kingsley as Davros then?

Hmmm... as with everything that is not offically confirmed by the BBC, I'm going to take this with a gigantic pinch of salt.
And anyway, how would they be able to bring Rose back? The Void between dimensions was sealed forever. It'd ruin the end of Series Two!! The papers are inventing again, I bet!

I'm not sure that Kingsley will play Davros, but these are all rumors so don't get excited for these rumors.

Wow, I hope those rumours about the finale of season 4 are true. But how would they pull it off? With all those companions, each equally deserving for screen time, how would they fit in a proper plot? I don't know much about Davros but maybe he'd want to know how Rose destroyed the Daleks at the end of Series one so much that he yanks her back from a parallel world? *crosses fingers and waits for more updates*

Hmm, just before it was announced that the Sontarans would return, they got a mention in SJA... which leads me to believe that the Brigadier is coming back because Sarah said "Give my love to The Brig" on the phone =)
Maybe we'll get a Tenth Doctor/Brig story? Against the Sontarans?

I wish! I love the Brig. Can't get enough.
As for Davros and the idea of having Ben Kingsley play him, a) they're going to need a big budget for a top actor like that, b) I wonder what will happen with Davros and how he'll fare with new Daleks or how he'll bring in new Daleks. I'm wondering how they'd get Rose and her group back from the other Earth without getting very sappy (no offense to those who really want it to happen). It would be interesting to see, though.

Another potential spoiler. Don't read if you don't want to know (but if you didn't, why would you be reading this thread?).
Outpost Gallifrey forum member 'The Doctors Trainers' posted in the series 4 spoiler thread that John Simm has been booked for Doctor Who filming in November. Looks like the Master somehow survived being barbecue roasted by the Doctor...

I bet his essence is in that ring. Wouldn't explain getting the same actor back to play him, though.
As for a story with Rose, the only proper way to do that would be for things to be happening over in her universe that she has to deal with (maybe get the fun of seeing what that universe's Doctor is like!) and it has an effect on events in the Doctor's universe. Maybe they would have to figure out what the other needed them to do to save the day based on how well they know each other--kind of, "I know exactly what they would do now!' And if we got to see the other universe's Doctor, Rose realizes this truly isn't her Doctor in a way that wasn't true between #9 & #10--this Doctor would have lived a different life, maybe his Gallifrey is still intact & there hasn't been a Time War. How would she like that Doctor? Would she want to go with him?
