For the majority of his life, up until he was 12, he trained in a legendary martial art formed by a race of superhuman warriors. However, at that time a dark man murdered Crow's master in one on one combat, to this day Crow trains to defeat the man, who now follows him constantly.

Lynxana doesn’t like being around anyone who drinks alcohol, because of numerous incidents early in her life involving her alcoholic uncle. Her parents died while she was an infant, and she was “raised” by her father’s brother. He was not suited to be a parent, and drank often. When young Lynxana would come home from school, her uncle was usually already drunk, and sometimes beat her severely for bad things she hadn’t done. Her aunt (her father’s sister) sued for custody of the girl after one incident that put her in the hospital for three weeks. Shortly after moving in with her aunt, she began showing signs of clairvoyance, and began delving into black magic.
