Planet Mambo Terra was drifting through space. She vaugly remembered a planet that she had built and ruled, but that was long ago. Something had happened... It was so hard to remember... The moving stars helped, though. They looked like the sun sparkling off a clear ocean. That was it! The Ocean. She began to move with more purpose now. She needed a place far enough from a sun that it would not be burned to cinders, but close enough that it would be warm. There! The perfect place for a planet! She closed her eyes, concentraiting. It took longer than usual, but she soon found her center, a small cove, sheltered from the open ocean waves, surrounded by a coral reef. She walked among her vision, wrapped it around herself like a long scarf, and brought it back with her into space, enlarging it and adding suitable habitats for creatures as it entered reality. The resulting planet was covered in water, dotted only with small islands and delicate reefs of coral, streatching like pathways through the open waters. The Ocean itself was tamed by these coral reefs, unable to thrash or storm as it did to other planets, and so future life forms would have little to fear. But she would create life later, maybe tomorrow. This day, she decided, was over. Her planet was small, but she made it rotate slowly, and so her new day lasted 25 hours, and so it would remain. Hmmm... But that was too much darkness! Her planet should not ever be in darkness. So Terra thought, and created a second sun, giving off a light more golden than the first, fading sun's red beams. She set its path, that 12 hours of the day the golden sun shone, 12 hours the red sun shone, and for 30 minutes in the morning and for 30 minutes at evening both suns shone together. The debris from the creation sparked and gleamed in the atmosphere, enhancing the light. Perfect she thought. Now for the Naming. She Named the red sun the Hero, and the golden sun the Eye. The planet's ocean, she would capitalize, as there was only one ocean. The planet itself, she would call Mambo.

The Light Of The Sea
As Terra viewed her planet from the depths of space, she realized is was compleatly empty. The suns' rays were falling only on water, the reefs and Ocean were dead and still. As Terra saw this she wished to fill her planet, and knew that she first needed something to harness the suns rays to create the energy that would fuel her animals. She needed plants.
And so, as she willed, so it was. The reefs became bountiful with coral. The reds and yellows and deep purples of vibrant coral covered nearly every square inch of avalible space. The rest of the depths of the sea were carpeted in rich sea weed as dense tangles of kelp floated like rafts to the surface.
The islands that dotted Mambo, and all the narrow peninsula also recieved the benifit of Terra's blessing. There tall palm trees and spiny flowers rose from the salty soil, able to take root and grow in even the poorest dirt. The sweet scent of flowers there were nearly intoxicating, and the narrow reeds that grew in the inland sweet water springs sang in the winds, their clear song echoing for miles, anouncing the presence of water untained by salt.
Ferns also grew on the land, great, wide things, water proof, and holding at their core a delicious fruit, like an earth watermelon. Other fruits grew as well, often from unlikly sources. The clinging vines that bridged the tree tops had an odd purple fruit that tasted of strawberries. The trees them selves had more than 30 kinds of edible fruits between them, and more that were unedible. Berry bushes grew rampant, it was a wonder a creature could walk for all the foliage, but walk they could. The ground was made for creatures, carpeted with a soft and comfortable moss, with no grass to be seen.
Terra was content with the flora of her islands, but what of the waters? The sea was so deep, it went down to nearly the core of her planet, several times the depths of Earth's seas, and seemed too dark to her. And so she decided to create a plant to light up the darkness of the depths of the ocean. She would call it the

Since Mambo was a mostly aquatic planet, Terra decided it needed a creature to regulate the Ocean. And so she designed a certain creature and brought it into being. As the creatures slowly appeared, Terra took a moment to appreciate their beauty.
The creatures were paperlike in their delicacy, but could withstand temperatures that would melt steel and those that would freeze oxygen. The creature changed color based on the temperature of the water, and she set it so that if the temperature of the Ocean was over 75 degrees they would cool it, and if the Ocean was under 75 degrees they would warm it, so the seas of planet Mambo would never be to hot or to cold.
The beings themselves looked like the children of manatees and lion fish, red and orange striped with large spiky fins when in warmer water, but turning purple and green striped in cooler waters. They were shaped basicaly like the earth sea lion or manatee, and their length was around 9 feet, their fins and single long tail were thin and delicate.
