The Ursataurs had been more reclusive than the Nagas and even the Unitaur until only recently. Ancestor touched them the most, as they were the original "Keepers" of the forests before war spattered blood on sacred, ancestral soil.
It was their responsibility to ensure that not too many trees were cut for wood, that wild plants were grown properly, and that animals (and taurs alike!) were not hunted to extinction.
Their viewpoints on the other taur are neutral, when a taur hunted down another taur their only concern was that it was done on even terms. According to their ancestral code, a taur could battle to the death so long as opponents had equal chances. No taur could prey upon the weaker and all kills were to be taken away from the forest. It seems cruel and brutal to the newer generations, but in ancient times it was "the Way". Kill to survive, kill to eat. They are still traditionally strong believers in "the Way".
Socially speaking, Ursataurs are either solitary or consist of small family groups. A female and male sometimes only meet to pair and conceive offspring, but the new ideals have started trends of more permanent pairings. It is not uncommon to see a mother and her children but no father in sight. Sometimes even siblings can be bitter rivals as adults.
