Bio: Renata Xeran was a very unusual child. She had no brothers and her father was disappointed for lack of a son to pass on his skills to. At seven years of age, she demanded that her father teach her the ways of the warrior as if she were his son and after some hesitation he obliged. At the rate that she progressed he soon became very proud of his daughter and after several years, began to treat her more like a fellow man rather than a daughter that required protection. She began developing some strange abilities at the age of 14 which proved very useful.
Her father died in a battle when she was 16 and it was up to her to continue her training and fight for her freedom, for her family and for her home.
Personality: Renata is a young woman who takes pride in her skills. She is willing to fight and kill ruthlessly to protect who and what she loves. That includes her home and it's ruler.
She is loyal and has no certain phobias. She cannot name her greatest fear because she doesn't know what it is. Whatever fear arises at some point in time will be her greatest fear for that moment, until it passes. She will let nothing hold her back.

Thou hast so few followers that thou wouldst cheat, and create such an rp as this when one of Dema's two main minions (excluding bearicorns and mutant cookies) is away to prepare for the rest of his life?

You know how much that peeves me off, Leafy? As well as the fact that your charry's first name is Phoenix!?!? How can I read your posts and be filled with hate for your evil (and by 'evil', I mean 'anti-Dema') ways when I constantly see my avatar's name question scream That isn't fair!

Oh, and screw the rest of my life; I will ensure that I do appear on gaia at least semi-regularly to show my support for Dema in this roleplay.

Position/Title: Sentinel of Demia, Champion of Bearicorns, Grand Poobah of the Realm, and All Around General Big Wig.
class: Bard/cleric
Magic: Typical bard spells and special cleric spells. These spells include: Summon Bearicorn, Photobucket Smite, Pwn of Ultimate 1337ness, Greatly Irritate, etc.
Special Abilities: Rayel is like her God in many ways. Her bard song allows her to greatly inspire or greatly annoy, though she can't always control which. Has a powerful song of confusion, another gift from Dema,
Weapons: A fiddle, a battle guitar, and her voice. And vast armies. And her bearicorn mount.
Bio: Due to the chaotic nature of the Demagogue hierarchy leadership positions are extremely unstable. Titled Sentinel, the lord of Demia can rule anywhere between sixty years to sixty seconds. Rather than having an inherited line, Dema chooses her leaders personally, giving them a mark. Although the position of Sentinel fluctuates there is a select group of followers set up to help and guide the often confused leader. These followers remain in power until death, or until Dema gets annoyed and kills them off. For the last few years her two principle followers Phoenix and Angelic Illusions served her people well, ushering in a golden age of prosperity and merriment.
However, with the unexpected murder of Angelic Illusions (rumors of Xelan involvement were never proved)and Phoenix's illtimed burning (for which he will not be blamed since it is a necessary part of his cycle), the land was plunged into darkness. Still recovering from the War for Gamer's Intent, the Demians were shattered by the loss of the beloved Phoenix and Angelic. Seeing the weakness of their hated rivals, the treacherous Xelans marched on the Demian lands still in mourning.
It was at this time of anarchy and grief that a young bard traveling in the mountain borders that separated the two lands caught sight of a Xelan patrol searching for quick passage through the mountains, large enough for an army to pass through.
Using a combination of power and cunning the bard managed not only to drive the patrol away, but also sealed the passage they found.
Although a small victory, the people of the land praised the bard as a hero. Even Demagoguery herself was impressed, and gave the bard the mark of her favor. When the people saw the mark of Photobucket they fell on their knees and praised Dema, for she had given them a new leader.
Confused and terrified, the bard was thrust onto the throne (actually, more like a really big sparkly rock that Dema had declared a throne on a whim) and pronounced Sentinel of Demia. Used to their God's capricious ways, the high priests and priestesses were able to rush the bard through the orientation process and various rituals, although they had to pause in the middle of the coronation to ask the bard's name.
And so, Rayel the bard became the Sentinel of Demia, Champion of Bearicorns, Grand Poobah of the Realm, and General All Around Big Wig. She also became a high priestess of Demagoguery, a strange act even for Dema.
Born in the mountain regions Rayel knows the area well, and plans to delay Xela's troops as long as possible while she waits for reinforcements. Several small guerrilla troops are stationed there, each with a mage or clairvoyant.
Personality: Although grossly inexperienced, Rayel has risen to the challenge, typical of Dema's chosen. In her short reign she has managed to develop and put into play a battle plan, as well as calm the people. Although growing more confidant of her ability to rule, Rayel was humble enough to send off envoys to ask Dema's allies for help. Intelligent, she pours over tomes of knowledge, seeking confirmation of lost civilizations and forgotten magic. Clever, crazy, or both, Rayel has sent several mages out on secret missions. Highly charismatic; when shes gets into one of her impassioned speeches one can barely notice her limp.
Appearance: Short dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a long scar along her face. One of her legs is badly maimed, a gift from a manticore. Always wears a necklace with one long manticore tooth and a pelican feather. The significance of the feather is unknown. Always walks with a staff or cane, which makes her unable to walk while playing an instrument.

Position/Title: God/Lord of all Xelans
Magic: Godly like magic that seems to go wrong or even backfire occasionally. Correction, most of the time and it usually benefits Demagoguans over Xelans.
Weapons: Walking stick
Bio: Xaltan has been around for as long as the Xelans have. He believes that they thinked him into existence, so therefore he has a duty to protect them. He's spent his entire life devoted to protecting them. Unfortunately, they also envisioned him as a really old dottering man. So he is and has, in the past, accidentally aided the Demagoguans instead of the Xelans.
Personality: Xaltan forgets everything. Except for the fact that the Xelans are to be protected. He's never quite sure where he is and always seems to get lost, even though he's a god. It takes him a while to remember how to cast spells and even then he usually gets it wrong. Its a wonder that his followers can even cast the simplest spells, but many theories about this can be boiled down to maybe that the spells just come from him and aren't granted directly by him. Otherwise all Xelans would have died ages ago to their own stupidity in asking a grissled old god for spells.
