Today was a special occasion for Hayagriva. Not only was he trekking away from his mother... but he had permission! That meant no scolding when he got back and he didn't have to worry about hiding from her. He hoped he'd be able to find someone fun to spend the day with to make it more interesting. Fun like Vis. Vis was fun. That foal he had met on the crazy water day was fun too. Both his horned buddies. Nayeli even had a neat tail, too.
He smirked while scrambling atop the stump of a tree. He still liked his tail the best. He was convinced it had magical powers... he just had to find out what they were. Maybe he could control the weather?
"Lightning... strike!" he shouted, even though there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

Trotting down the beaten path, the little filly was busy with her thoughts. Sneaky thoughts; thatoughts that involved playing with a certain type of tail. It wasn't her fault she was easily bored and tails were fascinating to her. Only certain tails though, like papa's or her brother's. Mama didn't have their tail, but that didn't really mean anything. Mama was mama and she was wonderful anyway.
Skipping a few steps (and tripping once) the little filly continued on her way, her mind vaguely wondering if she'd meet someone today. Maybe someone new? Heck, anyone would do! Maybe that colt with the cool tail, too!

Lightning wasn't striking. Maybe that wasn't it. If he knew someone else with a tail like his he could ask them if they had ever found any powers but so far he hadn't had any luck with that. He was unique, maybe the only one of his kind! He had to have some pretty awesome powers with that distinction. He only had to find them. Maybe he could jump extra far? Not further than usual. He couldn't make the wind blow, trees fall, or even flowers wilt. What about seeing with his eyes closed? He squeezed them shut and dashed forward, concentrating on his tail.
He wasn't hitting anything! He was avoiding them with ease! He was... smashed into a tree. Haya opened his eyes and for the moment the world spun around him... and then refocused into the face of a familiar filly. "Oh... it's you..." he said, too dazed to think of anything else to say.

Little Nayeli had been minding her own business, skipping merrily through the patch of woods when a sudden loud crash made her skid to a halt.
What had that been? It sounded like something slamming into something else. What had it been? Some animal? two animals? Was it some odd occurrence in the forest? Something supernatural? How amazing would that be? If she discovered something absolutely amazing?
Swinging around in the direction of the source of the odd sound, she cantered toward it, excitement brewing in her chest. What amazing thing was there? Who--
Oh. Skidding to a halt again as her gaze leveled upon a familiar colt. Well, the only familiar colt aside from her brother. "...Oh." She squeaked, blinking in surprise. Her head tilted slightly in confusion; she knew she'd heard something but where was it? Glancing about, not really understanding that the colt had been the source of the sound. "Did you hear something?" She asked, curiously as to if he'd also heard the strange sound.

Haya gave his head a shake and some of the dizziness cleared. When he let his tail support some of his weight he even felt relatively stable. Now he could concentrate on the issue at hand, the filly that had seemingly emerged from nowhere.
"Hear something?" He tried to remember what he had heard prior to his run in with the tree. He hadn't really been focused on hearing things...
"What did it sound like?" It seemed like strange things always happened when Nayeli was around. Maybe they'd see squirrel soquili popping out of trees this time!

Nayeli nodded once to his question and felt her tail flick absently, "Well, it sounded like some HUGE crash, like something had just slammed into something else." She wiggled in place, watching her colt-friend curiously. If he'd also heard the sound, mabe he could help her find the source? She wouldn't mind sharing the sicovery with Haya, he was a good colt as far as she knew.
She blinked once and tilted her head to the side, curious, "Are you okay, Haya?" She asked, concern flickering in her voice, "You sick or something? You don't look to good..."
